El Mirador, it seemed, was up there on the hill, at the very edge of Calonge. Advantages: Cheap, decent site pickup.
Disadvantages: No longer made.

...If you type BRAVA into Google, you will come up with quite a few sites referring to breast enhancement before you find vehicles! I wonder if Vauxhall tried this before the naming ceremony? Vauxhall Brava - Oh, just a couple of small points, Oops! another boob, Sorry. Made me titter, Oops, sorry again! Seriously, I just mean that this is not actually a Vauxhall at all, it is a joint venture, with Isuzu providing the vehicle, and Vauxhall providing the badges for the UK versions.I will explain that this is also sold in Austrailia and many other parts of the world. L'Estartit, Costa Brava

Advantages: Wonderful beach, small town which hasn't been overdeveloped and still retains it's fishing village charm
Disadvantages: Only one road into resort which gets extremely busy during high season, town centre can be noisy late at night in high season

...L'Estartit started out as a small fishing village, located on the Costa Brava in the Gerona region of Catalunya. Today it is a great resort for the tourist, offering a wide range of accomodation, bars, restaurants and a wonderful beach, without ruining the atmosphere of a small seaside town. The town is located at the foot of a small mountain, known as the Rocamaura, and this gives the town a great deal of natural beauty from wherever in town you happen to be. The side of the mountain is covered in trees, with a rock peak: and there are villas located on it. You can walk up and have a stroll around the inhabited part of the mountain either by a huge flight of steps, or via a couple of roads just off the Santa Ana street, or by the road near Castell Montgri campsite. Costa Brava

Advantages: Not too crowded, good accommodation, good weather, Spanish culture
Disadvantages: Barcelona's traffic, lack of genuine sandy beaches

...In July 2000, I spent two weeks in the resort of Tamariu, about 100km north of Barcelona on the Costa Brava. After an early start - 3.30 in the morning, we flew British Airways from Heathrow to Barcelona. When we arrived at Barcelona, the car hire process was long and having to stand in a queue for an hour was frustating. The problems outside were worse however, Barcelona being one of the most confusing cities i've ever been to, but still, i liked the place. When we finally arrived in Tamariu, I was fairly impressed with the apartments, after being used to 1 bedroom apartments, this was a new experience, the apartments Sol Pin, used by The Travel Club of Upminster in Britain each had 2 bedrooms, a 2 toilets and a seperate living area. ...Well what can i say, its so good i'm already booked and waiting to go back again soon. I found the Costa Brava a very friendly and welcoming place to visit. I stayed at Calella, but along the coast line you will find, Tossa del mar,Llorett de mar,Malgrat de Mar,Santa Sussanah and Pineda, all these towns are within a few minutes train ride away, they are even linked by a small land train service, which only costs a couple of Euro's for the return tickets, this way also enables you to take an extensive tour of the towns and discover what each has on offer. There is an outside market every day in the towns, your Hotel etc will happily supply you with the information on which market, day and town.These markets are full of all the usual knock of versions of top named brand goods, for example Doulcie and Gabbana belts for 10 euro's, come...

...Many people will rant and rave about how great the fiat brava is as a car but i would like to make car buyers and owners aware that they do suffer from certain problems. I have had my fiat for almost a year now, i do love it, no denying that, its a great car in that it looks nice, is a good size, has good petrol consumption and is great for reasonable trips....but it has its flaws which i have learnt recently are common in fiat bravas. Some not so serious problems, the car has a tendency to steam up, annoying when you get in the car in the morning. With the hot hair the from and rear windscreens will get clear but all the door windows steam up, especially the rear door windows. They also suffer from being sealed properly so when driving about it sounds like a window is slightly open (leading to the condensation/steamed up windows...
