Cereal Nut!!

Advantages: Wide variety, fairly cheap, versatile, availability
Disadvantages: Some not so pleasant, sugar, some nutrition

...to snacking mid-morning, usually consuming more calories than would have been in your breakfast. I never used to be a real breakfast person, and the thought of food in the morning made me feel very sick! However in the past few months, I have been getting forced to eat a large breakfast, and I now realise I do infact have a lot more energy, and although I also snack mid-morning, the first part of my morning is full of energy and I have a lot more concentration! A Fruity Breakfast

Waitrose currently has their whole range of cereals and cereal bars at half price, so this seemed like an opportunity not to be missed. I picked up a box of the Berries and Cherries variety; it comes in a purple box with cut-out leaf shapes on the front that give you a peek at what you're getting in the inner cellophane packet. The box indicates that the contents are fifty per cent fruit, but the name of this cereal is perhaps slightly misleading. My favourite breakfast cereal

...Shreddies have been a favourite breakfast cereal of mine for years. They were first launched in the UK in 1953 so I can well understand why I think they have been around forever. Shreddies are made by Nestle and when they first came on to the market they made a pleasant change from cornflakes or porridge which were the only other products I can remember being around. ...the information on the box is written in larger than normal writng, making it easy to read. The pack I bought had a competition to win 10,000 traditional gardening sets, no high tech prizes from Dorset! This continues the good life theme Dorset is trying to portray. The product. *********** The flakes of this cereal are small and they look very similar in and colour to cornflakes but smaller. There are plenty of grape and fig pieces to see and this impressed me! The cereal tasted light as promised and was not too sweet. The cereal had a nice crunch. The fruit was good and there was plenty of it too. I did however taste salt, something that I didn't find pleasant. I usually eat porridge for breakfast with no sugar or salt added so I guess my taste buds are not used to the addition of salt! A special breakfast - a special book!

...cereal. The children go along with her and Summer pronounces that her's tastes of marshmallows - hence the title! The breakfast theme runs throughout the book, with every few chapters sectioned off under something else that you might have for breakfast. I have to admit that I wasn't sure of the significance of all these! Overall though this is an excellent book which I enjoyed from the first page. It was an emotional read and a book that made you think, but overall it is a very uplifting book and really celebrates the love and joy that young children can bring into your lives - even if they are not your own! The book is published by Sphere, nd my paperback version with 440 pages, has a RRP of £6.99....
