...I am, and have always been, a person addicted to tea. It is a rare event when I find a tea that I'm not fond of, and it is an impossible one when I find a tea I don't like (it has never happened). When I was a little girl, my family thought I was a little strange with my addiction - whoever heard of a five year old who would rather have a cup of tea than a glass of juice or something fizzy? But that was me. Due to this addiction, I have tried probably every tea out there, and my favourite of the moment is Twining's English Breakfast Tea. I first tried this tea when my fiancee bought it instead of our usual brand, which incidentally is Asda's own, which , for a non-brand tea, is excellent. ...something special and something nice. I saw Twinings on teh shelf in loose leaf at first and my eyes moving along the shelf I found Twinings tea bags. Lovely the taste of a speciality tea in the convenience of a bag. I picked up a few different boxes and thought I would try a few different ones. I must tell you that I had tried the whole range of Twinings before, my friend from college was the one who sat me down and made me drink tea until I liked it! I didn't mind this of course as I was a bit fed up of being offered tea and coffee and being left thirsty when I visited friends as I didn't drink either. So getting to the point, I had tried the whole Twinings range before but this was some 7 years ago and I really didn't remember how they tasted or which one was my favourite. ...Hp All day breakfast. We are still cooking a la microwave in the corner of the sitting room, nearly penniless, so for supper one night I baked a potato and served the contents of a tin of all day breakfast. I found this tin in a Tesco store when I was foraging for food. It cost 95 p for 415 g so with the potatoes that would be a meal for 2 for less than £1.50. The really important thing is it was quick and easy to prepare. I cooked the potatoes first 3 minutes in microwave. (I know they are not as nice as oven baked but satisfactory) If you wish you can serve this meal on toast. Then I opened the tin of breakfast it was easy to do so one of those ring pull lids made it easier as I am not sure where the tin opener is (under builders rubble somewhere I guess). The tin is recyclable steel so I put it in our recycling bin... Read review

Advantages: A substantial breakfast with less effort than you might think!
Disadvantages: Don't even start to count the calories!

...Whenever I’ve got a house full for breakfast it always involves a lot of men and a visit to any one of (a) a football match, (b) a golf course or (c) a race course. I’m frowned on because I can’t see that what’s being done is hard, necessary work and not frivolous enjoyment. Whatever it is though, it always requires a substantial breakfast to start the proceedings. It’s a Man-Thing, you see. I’m not keen on spending too long in the kitchen preparing breakfast. I like to get most of it done the night before (or even ages before where possible!) and with a Man-Thing Breakfast that’s quite simple to do. To start with, supply a large bowl of fruit. I usually prepare this the night before, as it gives the flavour time to develop. Do remember to take it out of the fridge half an hour before it’s served so that it has time to come... Read review

...I think that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and sometimes I find it hard to please my kids at that time of the morning, especially Bailey, my two year old son, who always goes for the ‘goodies cupboard’ as soon as we get down the stairs. There are only a few cereals that he likes and sometimes I like to make him something a bit different. I love having breakfast with my kids; it’s the only time we sit down with no TV or music, and chat to each other (although I don’t ‘chat’ too much with Lucas, because he’s only eight months!). ...Marshmallows for Breakfast is the second book I have read by Dorothy Koomson. Earlier this year I read her novel 'My Best Friend's Girl' which I absolutely adored so I was very keen to read this one and it did not disappoint! It is the sort of book which should appeal to you if you like reading about people and relationships but it is definitely not 'chick lit'! The main character in the book is Kendra. Things have happened in her past which still have a serious impact on her life and she seems to spend a lot of her life running away rather than confronting her problems. At the start of the book, she is newly arrived in Britain from Australia ready to start a new uncomplicated life. She rents a small flat from Kyle, a recently separated man with two small children. This entertaining magazine, mixing news, weather, sport and off-beat features brings a whole new air to the mornings – and I can leave the housing up to date on all the latest current affairs. Lets look at some important elements of a TV programme… 1. PRESENTERS. The 3 hour show is presented by Sophie and Jeremy, along with Moria Stewart who does the news, and various weather presenters. As the ‘hosts’ Sophie and Jeremy are light hearted yet sincere, and share the show equally between them. 2. TIMING. As the name suggests, BBC Breakfast is on in the morning, from 6am-9am, which means anyone on their way to work should catch it easily. ...I probably went about becoming a tea drinker in a very roundabout and unexpected way. I had been in Vienna for about six months and had been working from home, which had meant that I was getting through inordinate amounts of black coffee. Amazingly (well the Viennese thought it was amazing!) I was not a tea drinker despite my English upbringing, but due to the adverse effects the "rocket-fuel" coffee was having on me, I decided to give tea a try. I chose Twinings English Breakfast tea, as it was the first thing I found in the cupboard of my then flat. It is recommended to be drank in the morning generally (hence the name! - I don't recommend being drunk in the morning although I did in the original draft of this op!) although I have found that it is great for reviving me at any time of the day or night, when I am slaving over...
