I like the Hart vs Austin the most. Despite being good friends in real life, their in ring personas manifested a lot of hatred towards each other. -I despised Vince McMahon for screwing Bret. The same with Shawn Michaels. In his interviews Shawn now uses God as a shield to cover the wrongs he did before. This was in the US show Off the Record. I like Michaels as a performer but not as a human being. -He was named as one of the top Canadians of all time -Bret's legacy will live on forever....

..., but I'll just go through a brief rundown. It begins with Bret's early years and his amateur wrestling career. After accomplishing all he could in amateur wrestling he decided to try his hand at professional wrestling in his father's Canadian-bases organisation, Stampede Wrestling. Bret was a hit in the company, at both tag and singles level, capturing all the major titles and meeting up with the man who would become his (and many other wrestlers') idol, The Dynamite Kid. There's lots (at times too much) of footage from Stampede and the footage whilst a little grainy, still holds up well. Moving on, we see footage from Bret's start in the WWF. Vince McMahon bought out Stampede Wrestling, mostly to get his hands on the young talent there, such as Dynamite Kid, the British Bulldog and of course, Bret Hart. Things didn't quite go...

The wonderful White Hart

Advantages: Great food and lovely place

...The White Hart, Lydgate, Manchester Going back many many moons (well okay approximately 10 years) the White Hart Inn in Lydgate was your bog standard, not very nice run of the mill typical English pub. It was then purchased by two nice gentlemen; one an extraordinarily talented chef and the other a wonderful business man and hey presto 10 years later you have one of the most thriving 'gastro pubs' in the country that people travel for miles around to come and eat at and has won award upon award. WWE produces a piece of "Excellence"...

Advantages: Great documentary, huge selection of his best matches
Disadvantages: If I'm nitpicking, the documentary skips over "Montreal" a little bit.

...discusses many of the major issues throughout his career including the Montreal "Screwjob" in 1997 (in which he was ousted from the company and stripped of the title at a live pay-per-view event), the death of his brother Owen in 1999 from a stunt which went badly wrong and his eventual retirement due to a concussion and stroke which followed. The documentary part of the DVD is really good although I would have loved to hear some comments from the guys involved in the Montreal Screwjob, like Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Earl Hebner. While the documentary part is good, the DVD gets pushed into the realms of "excellence" by the special features. Among them are a selection of 18 of Bret's best matches throughout his career. White Hart Hotel in Lincoln

Advantages: Close to Historical Landmarks, Friendly Staff, Good Rooms, Stylish

...I am writing his review from my White Hart hotel room and in my opinion this is quite an above average hotel. I arrived here with my family (Mum and Dad) yesterday. It was pretty easy to find and get here from Leeds where we spent the day out, just off the A15, but in the next 2 hours when we check out we will be taking the A46 to return home (Reading). The hotel provides their own parking just round the side of the hotel, with a small bay which cars strictly shouldn't stay in at all, but seems to be used by taxis to drop people off. Upon arrival we were greeted by very pleasant reception staff who knew a lot about the local area. Asking about local restaurants they informed us about the various Italian, Mexican, Thai, Chinese, English Pubs and all about the restaurant they have which was very helpful. Iron Man hits our skies and screens with a bang!

Advantages: Great action film
Disadvantages: Stark's personality a little exaggerated

...As a kid, I was a big fan of Marvel comics. When the films started flowing in the 1990s, with superhero this and superhero that, and Stan Lee cameoing in every Marvel film, I enjoyed the majority of them, but was annoyed mainly with the levels of inaccuracy when transferred onto the big screen, with amendments coming left, right and centre with the plot in order to appeal more to potential viewers. This angered hardened Marvel comic fans as well, and although I wouldn't count myself as a hardened fan, I do like to see some resemblance to the original concept in the comics, and with Iron Man, I was hoping for something close to the comic. From the offset, I could tell I was going to enjoy this film. I cracking beat starts the film off after the usual Marvel logos flashing up on the screen at the beginning credits. Location Set in the beautiful, historic uphill Bailgate area in the city centre, The White Hart is in the shadow of the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral. This means it is in the upmarket area of the city, meaning that the prices are higher than if it were elsewhere in the city. Prices It has to be said that the prices are high. We paid £27 for the ticket and this included a 3 course meal and nothing else.
