...Up until November 2008 I had always used the Breville JK52 model that was until it blown up and stopped working. So here is a review of the item that I bought to replace the JK52 model. I need to buy another kettle which was quick at boiling and was of course stylish. As I had had my last Breville since November 2005 I was more than happy to buy another Breville. ...I have just bought this toaster a week ago because my old one burnt out. Although the cost was £41:99p I wanted one that pushed the look of a quality build onto me. Others just seemed to reflect light. When you look at this Breville TT68 you emmediatly see the build quality is there. Before its pluged in you will see that the sides are covered with a clear plastic that is actually Pollycarbonate stuff. normally the silver sides collect finger prints and it looks dirty even after one use. This is easy to wash therefore looks clean all the time. When you start to use it, you will find the slots are extra long for that bread that wont fit a lot of other toasters. At the bottom there is a crumb tray which is a must. There is also a cancel button if you decide to cut the toasting lenth down sharply. The thing I like is the blue LED lights...

Breville VTP041 slow cooker good but hotter

Advantages: Large capacity 4.5 litre, auto setting available
Disadvantages: quite hot on the outside - approixmately 50 degree C

...I have previously tried Cookworks white round 3.5 litre slow cooker and unfortunately it only lasted for 3 months - the inner ceramic crock developed hair-line cracks leading to a slow leak. Thus I returned it to Argos at the end of March and exchanged it for a Breville slow cooker which was on special offer for £19.49 (now the price is £38.99 today). Two months on, it is still performing as it should. It is a 4.5 litre cooker and it can accomodate a whole chicken in the oval shape inner crock. The appearance is good - very shinny heating base and surprisingly light as well. There are four settings - off, low, high and auto. Also with the bread maker comes a beaker for measuring out the water and a spoon that measures a tablespoon at one end and a teaspoon at the other. The bread maker can make different size loaves and the reciepe book gives the amounts needed. You can also choose the type of crust you require it has three settings. I have always used the crustiest setting, as in a breadmaker it's never as crusty as the oven. Breville Toasted sandwich maker

...Over the past 10 years I have had about 3 different sandwich makers and none of them has lasted as long as the breville. I have had mine for a about 8 years and still works perfectly although it is a very basic model without any browning controls or special features. You just plug it in, wait for it to heat up and when the light goes out you pop your sandwich in and wait for it to toast.
