Coffee M8 !
Review of Breville CM8/CM10 by
plonkymiff
Advantages: Easy to use, turns instant coffee into luxury drinks, easy to clean, low price point, value for money
Disadvantages: *
...Im a great lover of milky coffee's, latte's etc and regularly buy these from the high street coffee shops at a price of about £2 each. I thought wouldnt it be great if i caould drink these at home without just heating milk in the microwave, as it is the steam in the breville that makes your drink what it should be ! With my birthday approaching in december, i was asked what i would like, i racked my brains until i saw the breville advertised on tv, i did a bit of research online and settled on that .
It is so easy to use, just take your instant coffee granules, your choice of milk, whack em in the machine and youve got a lovely frothy cappuccino, latte, or even hot chocolate, you can also replace the milk with water to just make regular black coffee's etc. I would recommend that you use a good quality coffee granule, my fave is from M...

Piping hot cappuccino without fail
Review of Breville CM8/CM10 by
BALLISTIC
Advantages: easy to use and clean, makes delicious coffee and hot chocolate
Disadvantages: price
...Instant Cappuccino anyone? If I asked that question at home the resounding answer would be a big yes. Prior to the serious renovation of the kitchen following a fire we settled on filter coffee in the morning but with the opportunity to replace and refurbish the whole place I couldn't resist the temptation to buy a Breville CM8 when I saw it on offer for £55.
Apart from the obvious requirement to make gorgeous coffee the fact that the machine fitted in to the general décor with it's stainless steel finish was a real plus point for me so after buying it I was like a child with a new toy when it arrived.
Using the machine is very easy, basically the top flips open, you pour in some instant coffee granules and the milk into the clearly marked compartments and press the start button. As the machine starts to heat up the milk it blends...

It is fantastic - so far!!!!
Review of Kenwood FP698 by
ginvzt
Advantages: Powerful, good design, good recipe book
Disadvantages: Storage
...to chop small portions, liquidiser, citrus juicer, centrifugal juicer (so you can have fruit and veg juice as well, not just citruses), and even a mill. My partner loves coffee and it was fantastic to prepare fresh coffee. The mill did excellent job!!! It includes three disks: chipping, thin shredder/slicer and thick shredder/slicer. It is enough in general, but I bought an additional disks for grating parmesan cheese and potatoes. The disks come in a good storage capsule, which can stand on the worktop with no problems - at least in my kitchen. And these disks don't need any other assembling - just put them on top of the processing bowl and that is it - no chance that blade will jump out of plastic holder...
I did try almost all attachments by now and I am really happy. Citrus juicer is much better that Breville - as it doesn't splash around...

Lovely filtered water straight from the kettle
Review of Breville JK95 by
scarymonkey
Advantages: Fresh, filtered hot water
Disadvantages: Rocks about on base. Flex is fairly short
...I have used Brita water filters for years, and when time came to change my kettle I decided to buy a kettle with built in Brita filter technology. This left me 2 brand choices - Brita's old own brand range or the new partner range produced by Breville. As I do not use the kettle too much I decided to go for the cheapest option and purchased a JK95 from Argos for £29.99.
The kettle features a quick boiling 3Kw concealed element, Brevilles Lightening colour change technology, a keep warm feature, 360 degree cordless base and Brita Maxtra filter technology. The Brita Maxtra is a new filter format from Brita which claims to remove 20% more impurities than the older classic filter range.
In use the kettle can be boiled whilst still filtering the water, although it is advisible to allow a reasonable amount to filter through before starting...

As close as it gets to costa coffee
Review of Breville CM3 by
smudger1964
Advantages: easy to use, lots of features, great tasting coffee
Disadvantages: none
...The Breville CM3 also comes by the name of Anthony Worrall Thompson "the fat chef" ok so they dont use "the fat chef" in its title but you know the guy i mean
I purchased my expresso/cappuccino maker from Ebay brand new for the princely sum of £35 but if you were to purchase it from an electrical retailer it s list price is £65.
The CM3 comes with some features not available on some other coffee makers costing a lot more money. It has a warming tray on top of the maker which is essential in my opinion as the coffee doesnt come out boiling hot like from a kettle so if you dont pre warm the cup or cups you are using the coffee isnt particularly hot from any home coffee maker. It also comes with Two expresso cups and saucers.you also get a small stainless steel milk frothing jug provided.
The coffee making process is easy once you get used...

A Coffee shop in your own Kitchen
Review of Breville CM1 by
Salgie
Advantages: You need never pop out for a 'cap' again
Disadvantages: Cleaning the milk steamer nozzle
...As a bit of a gadget junky this was one of the best Christmas presents I could get! Forget Champagne Cocktails with breakfast this year, we had caps and expresso.
The machines is all pretty much assembled when you unpack it, and the instructions are concise and simple, although I must admit that it did take two adults and several attempts to make the first cup of cappuccino! The filter coffee maker is a breeze for those who are used to making filter coffee, even if you are not it is pretty simple, water in the top, coffee in the (permanent) filter and press go, for great filter coffee.
Expresso does require that you read the instructions and even using medium and not strong coffee grounds you get a cup of pure wake up juice!
Now we get to cappuccino, this took two of us several attempts to get a hot, frothy, coffee cups of heaven...

Water to Coffee to Tea to Hot Chocolate.
Review of Breville JK23 S/ST by
silver_tiger
Advantages: Rapid boil, washable filter, water guage, cord storage
Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...’t even know what make it was as the name had rubbed off! This old kettle usually took about 3 minutes to boil if it was filled all the way to the maximum line. We didn’t actually time the Breville but it was a lot faster believe me! I was very pleased with the fact that I had found something that actually did what it said on the side of the box. Marvellous!
It also features a 360° rotational base, which is non-slip on kitchen surfaces. The base also has a cord storage area which saves the cord getting lost in my kitchen cupboards!
I would recommend this kettle, it is simple, stylish, fast boiling, and even has a removable filter!
So go on…let the JK23 Stainless Steel Classic Jug Kettle into your life and marvel as it switches effortlessly from coffee to Tea to hot chocolate....

Review of Breville Cool Wall Deep Fat Fryer by
carbraxas
Advantages: Cheap. Easy to use. Does what it says on the tin.
Disadvantages: Cool wall isn't totally cool.
...I bought my Breville Cool Wall deep fat fryer about two years ago from Kwik Save and it cost me £19.99 and i think it deserves a review. Last night it saved my life.
I am not being over dramatic either. Yesterday after I had dragged myself home from work, tired and hungry I cooked some chips - an easy supper. Soon after I took my son to bed, read him some stories and took a long relaxing bath. So you can imagine the length of time I was upstairs. It wasn't until about 10.30 when I went back downstairs and into the kitchen to make myself a coffee and load the washing machine that I realised I could still smell hot fat. I saw immediately the fryer was still switched on. Pulling the plug out quickly I breathed a huge sigh of relief, the thermostat had done its job. I have only had a chip pan fire once before many years ago and luckily I...

My second Kenwood
Review of Kenwood FP691 by
ginvzt
Advantages: Powerful, good range of attachments, great design
Disadvantages: Capsule stores only 3 disks
...to prepare fresh coffee. The mill did excellent job!!! It includes three disks: chipping, thin shredder/slicer and thick shredder/slicer. It is enough in general, but I bought an additional disk for grating parmesan cheese and potatoes when I still had FP698. The disks come in a good storage capsule, which can stand on the worktop with no problems - at least in my kitchen. And these disks don't need any other assembling - just put them on top of the processing bowl and that is it - no chance that blade will jump out of plastic holder... The only thing is that the capsule can store only 3 disks and that is how many come with the processor. As I bought additional one, I need to store one of the disks somewhere else.
I did try all attachments by now and I am really happy. Citrus juicer is much better that Breville - as it doesn't splash around so...
