Sadly, Harry passed away a few...... more This CD is a recording of an outstanding concert in April 1992, originally arranged to celebrate Harry Mortimer's 90th birthday. Sadly, Harry passed away a few weeks before the concert, but the decision was made to go ahead as a tribute to Harry, a wonderful contributor to Brass Band music. The pieces are performed with enthusiasm and emotion by the massed bands of Brittania Building Society, John Foster Black Dyke Mills and The Williams Fairey Band. The conducting duties are divided between Howard Snell, James Scott and Major Peter Parkes. Please see the additional photograph above for details of the pieces. What an emotional night the 12th April 1992 must have been. Advantages: Small and efficient building society
Disadvantages: Rarely table topping rates
