Happy Hobs!!

Advantages: Works very well, fairly inexpensive, easy to use

...A couple of summer's ago, my husband gutted our old kitchen and put me in a nice new one with all the mod cons, including my new halogen hob! He told me I needed to be careful when cleaning it and the maufacturer's instruction for cleaning recommended Hob Brite, by Homecare. I tootled off to Tesco and found it very easily, in with the rest of the household cleaning products. It cost at the time about £1.25 but it's since gone up in price a little and the last bottle I bought cost me £1.39 from Sainsbury's - the bottle contains 300ml, and to my knowledge does not come in any different sizes. The first time I used my new hob I'd cooked us all a spaghetti bolognese and there were a few splashes of sauce sprinkled over the hob. I left the hob to cool down before I attempted to clean it, as directed on the bottle's instructions...

Rule Britannia!

Advantages: Cheap! Central Location.
Disadvantages: Soft Pillows, dirty bathroom.

Advantages: Well thought out and good gaming rules

Sparkly Hobs

Advantages: good results, good price

...Recently I just bought a ceramic hob cooker because previously I never really worried too much about spillages around the cooker but now with the shiny black surface dirt starts to show up more easily. I love my cooker and being a huge pasta lover and loving my sauces etc this means that there are going to be spillages whether it's tomato sauce stains, oil after frying these all make a mess if not cleaned quick so this is why I looked into products for cleaning the hob and I found Hob Brite. I have never really heard of many big brands doing cleaning products for the hob. I know there are these cleaning wipe things but to me these aren't reliable although I haven't heard of Homecare who make Hob Brite. I haven't heard of them but I certainly wouldn't forget to recommend if I ever come to the subject of discussing hobs...

The hotel on this occasion was booked through laterooms.com (see previous review) and was the Britannia in the city centre, it cost me £47 for a double room bed only, a friend also staying the same night paid £42 for a single. Arriving at the train station my previous visits 'beer compass' directions sent me for a walk around the outside of the train station but from the exit through the shopping centre it is literally a walk of a minute at most (note to self shoving through groups of football fans is a bad idea). A good job for the hob

Advantages: Economical to use, leaves hob looking like new

...Last year, we bought a Hotpoint electric oven and ceramic hob to replace the gas ones installed when our house was built, and supplied with the hob was a small sampler bottle of Hob-Brite. I'd owned an electric cooker some years earlier, and I'd always used Jif (as it was called then) to clean the hob. It did the job well, but I thought I may as well use up the freebie bottle of Hob-Brite, even if I didn't carry on with it afterwards. I am not exaggerating, this hotel really is an eyesore, it is simply a huge mass of pebble dashed concrete, and resembles a block of ugly high rise flats, it is also about 100 meters from the M56, which is handy for getting to the airport amongst other things, but also adds to the eyesore and, obvously, noise factor.
