A first class car seat
Advantages: Comfy, stylish, long-lasting, easy recline mechanism
Disadvantages: heavy
...seats, the trick is getting the strap tight enough.
The First Class has replaces the Britax Club Class, but is similar in the way it fits. The seat is one of the more pricey ones at around £110, but I was lucky and purchased mine when there was a promotion on Britax seats in Halfords, and got it with 20% off. Anyway the price is pretty good value for money, when you consider the wide age range of this seat over others.
One of the benefits of this seat is that it can be used from birth in a rear facing positition (there is a lovely soft newborn cushion which comes with the seat to make it more comfortable for weenie newborns.) and up until they are 40lb (about four years old) in the forward facing positon
Of course, the real test of any car seat, other than whether it fits your car properly, is whether your baby is happy in it. My...

Britax Duo Plus Isofix Seat
Advantages: Secure, easy to fit, comfy, stylish
Disadvantages: Small range of fabrics in UK
...I had previously used the Britax first-stage car seat which came with our travel system, and my daughter always seemed very comfortable and secure in it. So, when she outgrew it, we looked at several brands, but we did have confidence in Britax already.
However, what swung the decision for us was safety - we looked at the encap safety ratings, and when you use the Isofix points in your car, this seat was the best in our price range. It can be used with a seatbelt also, however, and still comes highly rated.
Isofix relates to anchor points which are fitted in your car - rather than using the seatbelt, you connect the seat straight into these points. Apparently a lot of seat-belt connected seats aren't fitted correctly, so we were keen to use this system.
We actually contacted Britax by phone to make sure that we could use...

Britax First Class SI really is first class
Advantages: well padded, easy tu use , cosy
Disadvantages: fiddly when moving from car to car
...the seat must always be fully reclined.
In the forward facing position it has a 5 position reclining handle from fully upright to fully reclined which is easily adjustable by lifting the handle and sliding the seat forward without disturbing your child. It has the usual 5 point harness strap which is easily adjustable with four shoulder heights.
The seat is fitted using the diagonal belt and there are a number of seat belt locks to ensure the seat is well fitted and although Halfords offer a free fitiing service, the instructions are easy to understand. It can be a little fiddly when you first try and when moving the seat from car to car.
Although suitable for most cars, all makes, models and years of car differ and it is not guaranteed but you can check before you buy on 01264386034 or by visiting fit-finder on the website www.britax...

Two cars one seat no problem with First Class
Advantages: Tilt for comfort, five point harness with padding, easy to move between cars
Disadvantages: Large base with metal bars which may mark car furnishings
...so happy in a car!
On moving the seat from car to car it is simple a seat belt click to remove and on refitting to the other car you can check your memory is correct by glancing at the clear instructions on the side of the chair base. The ugly metal bars I was so adverse to in the beginning cannot be seen when fitted in the car!
Although this seat can be used until the child is four years old it has an added bonus of being suitable from birth and doubles up as a rear facing car seat as well! I'm already planning to put our next child in this seat, I love it so much.
If you like us have two cars or and older model car don't waste time searching and trying lots of car seats just try the Britax First Class, I wish I had and saved ourselves a lot of time and stress!...

FIRST CLASS!!
Advantages: Long lasting, reclines and looks good!
Disadvantages: heavy and awkward to fit
...It was a nightmare trying to find a car seat that actually fits in my ford fiesta!Plus it 's only a 3 door that i have, so trying to get in the back to sort the seat out was a pain.
Eventually, i found the britax first class. It wouldnt have been my ideal choice because of the dull colours on the material, but we had to go with it, as it was the only one that fitted.
this is a second stage seat, so you can use it from birth, right up until the child is four.
From birth up to approx 9 months(201b)it has to be rearward facing in the front or back of the car.
when the child reaches 201b, you can have it forward facing, and use it until the child reaches four.
N.B>>i just want to point out, that you shouldnt have your baby forward facing until they they are at least 201b in weight, this is because there neck wont be supported enough...

The First class is just as it says on the tin!
Advantages: Can be used from Birth to around age 3
Disadvantages: It is a bit heavy/arkward to transferr from car to car all the time
...I bough this car seat for my son, when he was just growing out of the group 0 seat. Therefore it was the third car seat we bought (and he was only 9months old)
The first was one of those baby cradle type car seats (M&P) that click in and out of buggies etc. Second was supposedly a from Birth car seat that was very very unsuitable for a baby under 12 months as it was far too upright - so I felt uneasy with using it.
This car seat has been brilliant - I would reccomend it.
It reclines, is easily cleaned, fits the car seat very tightly. The seat belt tightens and loosens easily and the clasp is tight enough for my son not to be able to use!
I wont even be buying a new seat for my next child as I will use this facing backwards from birth.
And for installations it has easy to read instructions actually in the seat - very...

Brirtax First Class SI
Advantages: Easy strapping in (the kids), and easy fitment (to the car)
Disadvantages: Quick release button won't be a quick escape
...Not sure what the SI stands for, but it's a good quality car seat for your kids.
Our twins went into these seats from the age of 10 months, and were quite happy with the arrangements. had our twins in maxi-cosy rear facing seats from birth, but these Britax seats were their first forward facing seats.
Straps are an item worthy of comment.... There are 2 shoulder straps, big loops that come from behind baby's bum, to the shoulder pad.
The two loops each have a buckle clip, free sliding on the strap. When the child is placed into the seat, the straps must be brought around the arms, and brought together in the middle before inserting into thebuckle, which is attached to a centre strap, through the seat base.
In effect, once buckled, you have shoulder , side, and groin straps, connected through one buckle.
Despite...

A good all round baby car seat
Advantages: Easy to fit, looks stylish, fits most cars, good quality
Disadvantages: Highly priced,
...We chose the Britax First Class car seat after looking at the many other other makes and models and thought "yeuck!" to most of them. Some seemed garish. Others seemed less well built. The one we liked best just on first impression was the Britax First Class, which on further investigation was apparently Mothercare's best selling seat. It was one of the dearer ones, but had the feel and quality, and build class that we were looking for! Despite our initial reaction regarding the plethora available, safety was our major issue.
This seat boasted good safety and the seat is very well made. The seat itself is deep with good side protection, which others did not have. The seat reclines very easily into several positions (5 I think) which makes it easy to operate, even from the front seat.
Another advantage is that it can be used...

THE SAFE ------ ----Britax Duo Isofix Car Seat
Advantages: its safe.
Disadvantages: may not come in many colours.
...Britax Duo Plus Isofix is a Great car seat, that is strong and secure when fitted correctly. Contoured seat shape and plenty of padding with wide wings make this a comfortable seat for your baby/child. Clear instructions and easy to fit using seat belt or isofix system (in compatable cars). I'm sure this seat will stand the test of time (and our baby!)
The design of the car seat is very good and also looks very cool. It gives the design of a racing car seat.
Main points
Solid and comfortable, no-nonsense car seat. Strong fixings and secure, easy to use, adjustable harness. Easy to secure using a 3-point seat belt (or the isofix system if your car is compatable). Multi-position to offer recline position....

Britax Duo Isofix Car Seat.
Advantages: When fixed on isofix point, Zafira car seats can still be pulled forward.
Disadvantages: Does not recline very much.
...When I bought my vaxhaul Zafira 18months ago I struggled to gain access to the boot ,as my child car seat was attached using a seat belt and this prevented the seat gliding forward. So I invested in a duo isofix and I love it so much I've just bought a 2nd one.
The seat can be used on either the isofix points or 3 point seat belt so it offers flexibility if you need to transfer into other cars.. Small disadvantage is you need to slot on a guard to protect isofix teeth if using on seat belt system (This is supplied as part of the seat) I store this in my glove compartment but it means I struggle to keep all my cds in there so frustrates me a little.
My little girl looks lovely and comfy in her seat and the straps do not rub at the wrong points. However It would be better if it reclined slightly more.
Fitting the car seat in...
