...a very sad movie, as a young girls life is stolen away, from riches to poorer than poor with nothing but herself in the world. no family anywhere. The Boarding School Headmaster is a very cruel woman who is only in it for the money - Not interested in childrens welfare, just knows she can make a few bob. Its sad when Sarah finds out about her father, and Miss Minchin becomes so cruel. It also has a few magical scenes throughout -Ya gota watch it to see. The Cast Liesel Matthews ... not as shiny as they say...

...I love glossy lips but I hate the fact that most good glosses are thick and gluggy and sticky,which I dont like. I saw the add for watershine on my TV and they said it had a "wieghtless feel and almost no stickyness" So I though I might as well give it ago. They came in some lovely colours and a very nice bron and a very nice pink cought my eye. There was a offer in boots(where i got it from) that if you brought a watershine lip stick(£5 something) you got a free cool effects cream eye-shadow(usally about £4-5) which I thought was good. When I got home the colou of the lip stick was great and but the gloss didnt look at all like the TV add but it did have a lot more gloss than most lipsticks. The colour looks great if you put a tiny bit of lip gloss over the top, then it looks like the T.V adds. There was NO stickyness...

...It is the hardest Uriah heep album and still one of their best."Look at yourself" "was the point in time when the band really found a solid musical direction"-said Gerry Bron (their manager).There are many big hits and really Uriah Heep classic here.The first song -"Look at yourself" is hard rock classic, as for example Deep Purple's "Smoke on the water"."I wanna be free"-beautiful hard .Famouse "July morning"-the powerfull anthem, one of the best Uriah Heep song.I can compare this song to such classic as Led Zeppelin "Stairway to heaven",Deep Purple "Child in Time".Beautiful "Tears in my eyes,powerful hard roch"Shadow of grief"And don't forget about "Love machine"-Uriah Heep hit and sympathetic "What should be done"....

Let's get physical

Disadvantages: The band were becoming a bit of a dinosaur

...'s "talkin' about LURVE" (to quote him again, from "Trampled underfoot"). Lines like this really should sound too arrogant for words, but we're talking about love-god Robert Plant here, never likely to be turned away by the girls, in those days. Only he could get away with it. For me, the song "Trampled Underfoot" evokes those films they used to show on The Old Grey Whistle Test, with speeded up can can dancers from 20s movies, or black and white cartoons - showing my age now! Kashmir is a tour de force, full of mysticism and almost orchestral in scale, at over 8 minutes long, and it's the kind of song that I feel I would be quite happy if it continued for another 30 minutes, I can't imagine me tiring of it. The second CD starts off in a quiet and introspective vein, with 4 slowies. There's the instrumental, acoustic "Bron-yr-aur", which...

Game, set and match

Advantages: Brilliant acting
Disadvantages: A little predictable

...this way I often found myself forgetting that neither of the two actors in question where actually tennis stars. The rest of the cast also deserve a mention as they also add a brilliant element to the film. Sam Neill plays an excellent part as Lizzy's somewhat controlling yet underneath everything exceptionally caring father and Bernard Hill, Eleanor Bron and James MacAvoy who play Pete's mother, father and brother respectively really do liven up the screen when they appear. The relationship between these three and Pete is often extremely comic yet in many ways seems all so true, as when Pete begins to succeed the somewhat on the rocks family rallies together realises they all have a common goal. Most importantly for me however is the fact that the tennis played within the film is real and looks to be of a standard suitable to...

A British Contender at Wimbledon? Yep its fiction!

Advantages: Fun, charming a bit silly
Disadvantages: Some of the acting is questionable

...the posh tennis club members who want Peter as their new coach. Dunst is excellent if not underused as Bradbury, she is precocious and hard hitting and knows what she wants in complete contrast to Peter but she is a kid who has grown up only knowing tennis and this shines through at times when we see her more vulnerable side. There is also a great shop stocked full of NBA products including all the teams jerseys and also Basketball shoes worn by the latest all stars like LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Tracy McGrady and others. You can also but Dynasty DVD's from the likes of Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. These DVD's include footage of championship runs. ..., Bernard Hill who plays his dad Edward, Eleanor Bron who's his mum Augusta, Sam Neill who plays Lizzie's dad Dennie and Jon Favreau, the hilarious American sponsor Ron. Some of the cast are better known that others, but all of them together make a fantastic viewing experience, giving us laughs, family rifts and love. Neill is particualrly good as Lizzie's controlling Dad, and is sort of the nasty character of the film. MacAvoy is also hilarious, capturing the youth and dopeyness of Carl with perfection. Undoubtedly, the best bit of the film is the tennis itself. All of the tennis scenes, and scenery shots too, are actually played at the famous Wimbledon tennis grounds in London, giving a real feel to the film that you are there with them, and a realistic element too. I'm not that sure about how long this should be, but i'll do my best. Ok, i was bron 4th July 1987...which makes me 19! And obviously me birthday is very soon (hint hint presents please!) I went to an ordinary, boring comprehensive school doing boring, ordinary subjects.
