...Having 3 computers in the house and being connected to a wireless home network, it made sense to get a network printer. A printer that we could just connect to the router that everyone on our network could access. Mine cost me £116 from a local office supplies store though I understand it can be bought for less at other places. The only lead it came with was it's mains lead. In order to use The Brother DCP-310CN on your network, it first needs to be connected to the router (the printer is not wireless network enabled), then the printer drivers and software (if required) need to be installed on each computer that will be accessing it. The printer does not need to be physically attached to any of the computers that will be using it. Installation instructions are easy to follow. Ink cartridge installation is also very easy... Advantages: Stylish, easy to use, slimline, space saving, very cheap inks
Disadvantages: broke down, JUST after WARRENTY had run out, colour print speed

...About a year ago I bought a Brother DCp 117c, which is allmost idetnical to the Brother DCP 117c. The unit itself worked very well, and was very simple to use and understand. That was WHILE it worked. JUST after the warrenty ran out, the print quality started to decrease, untill it could not print at all. We were told by a printer expert that the print head had broken. Addmittedly the printer had been used regularly for document printer and photocopying, but only the kind of use to be expected for such a machine. (After all it is advertised as an office product) Although Brother customer service were helpful; and took the printer away free of charge for repair, the bill was going to be £134! Advantages: looks cool

...this new model from brother was designed to target the home offices with its new inkjet multifunction peripherals. It's black and metallic grey and has a tidy control panel with an LCD and looks really cool and smart. The DCP-310CN has an Ethernet port and therefore you can connect to this printer through multiple computors without actually being connected by wires. and even the momory cards, that fit into its 5 port slots can be accesed through the network. it isnt the fasted printer or the best quality, yet its speed is reasonably and its quality is preety good, especially when printing pictures out onto glossy paper. this also has a scanner on top. this can scan to an image, web or email or you can even photocopy documents to print off srtaight away in either colour or black and white. the buttons even give you the choice to enlarge... Advantages: Excellent value for money

...make finding the relevent pages quick and the straight foreward language and diagrams make these guides simple to use , even for a novice like me!! I feel however that there are a few disadvantages to this machine. The first is that the machine has rather a flimsy feel especially the lift up top for the photocopier and scanner which isn't particularly robust. The second problem is the ink cartridges, these are all individual ie. a seperate cartridge for black, cyan, magenta and yellow. The cost for ink therefore can be expensive. Brother ink cartridges are not also as easy to purchase on the high street as some other makes although they can be purchased on the internet and i did notice yesterday that tesco has just started to sell the black cartridge for this machine. Advantages: Fast, Laser Quality,cheap to run, Optional Duplexer, Extra paper tray

...This is the fastest printer I've ever had (after canon ip4000, Epson r340 and brother dcp110). I print 500+ pages per month and this hp printer is ideal for this purpose. Its a little on the large side and make considerable noise so potential buyers might want to take this into account. Another reason for my purchase was HP offer for 3 year next business day warranty upgrade. With Hp original ink cartridges the cost per page is very low. The original 20ml black cartridge lasted for 600 A4 full page letters, that's 33 pages/ml of ink on normal mode (1.7p per page) and my print coverage was definitely more than the typical 5% (manufacturers use this coverage as benchmark to calculate cartridge life). And finally the print quality is excellent, even on draft mode (for proof reading). It's not the best if you are looking for printing... Read review

...I was looking for a dvd player to take while travelling abroad. The philips DCP range was actually quite new and had only been out a couple of months. In addition this bay lets the IPOD classic integrate as part of the unit and is flush so you can't tell. when you are not using the IPOD docking you can store the remote there. The remote is very handy and perfectly sized with the same functions as you would have in a normal DVD player The quality is as good as any normal TV/dvd combo so there is no compromise on the viewing experience. I spent all my time in airport watching my home tv shows. The speakers are really good too and do not compromise the viewing experience at all It is a fantastic unit for travelling and I highly rate it, is tough enough to take knocks while travelling but treat with care... ...I bought this Brother multifunction printer/scanner/copier following a tesco e-mail offer. My previous HP printer was starting to get really annoying with constant paperjams and such, so Tesco's offer of the Brother printer for less than £50 was well received. The Brother DCP-110C is an early model and has been replaced in Tesco by subsequent models that are basically the same. The offer at Tesco was probably due to Brother clearing out their older models and to generate some interest in the consumer market as they are making efforts to establish themselves in the private consumer market. The printer features a Scanner, printer, copier and ports for a variety of digital camera memory cards. The ports for the memory cards was a great addition for myself as I am forever losing the cable to connect the camera to the PC, not to mention... Read review

...also proclaim that the sauce is clear of "3-MCPD and 1,3-DCP Contaminants." Now to be fair I have absolutely no idea what these are, but I guess it's a good thing they're not in my soy sauce This all kinda fooled me into thinking this was a "natural" product. But a quick look at the ingredients shows added sugar and a variety of different E numbers, flavour enhancers and preservatives. Hence a star taken off my rating for the product Despite this, the soy sauce is yummy. The chilli is not too strong and not too weak. They've got the balance just right, no doubt so it appeals to the widest spectrum of people. It adds real kick and flavour to my stir fries and helps create something that bit different I've also added it to pasta sauces, scrambled eggs, soups, rice dishes and various meats when grilling.
