Brother DCP-115C / DCP110C

Advantages: high quality prints
Disadvantages: far too many errors and problems..

...My first DCP-110C lasted just over 6 months and was replaced by the newer model DCP-115C. All seemed fine and dandy until around 10 months later started having problems again. This printer is a superb all rounder and creates brilliant pictures WHEN IT WORKS.. Had my first printer not been replaced I certainly wouldnt go for a brother again. I was attracted to it due to the cheap inks available as my last printer a Lexmark (which was simply amazing) was just far too expensive for ink. The DCP-115C keeps failing every so often and when you are lucky enough to get it working(when its in a good mood) you will be pleased with its results. The main fault I am getting now (again) is with the inks. It wont accept new inks for some reason and I have tried numerous cartridges and searched Brothers site for help yet nothing is working yet again...

It aint heavy, its my Brother!

Advantages: Excellent print quality. Easy to use and setup, reasonabley cheap to run.
Disadvantages: slightly noisy fan when printing.

Review of Brother DCP-7010 Multifunction

Brother dcp115c printer, scanner, copier

Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Flimsy , need to handle with care

...headings make finding the relevent pages quick and the straight foreward language and diagrams make these guides simple to use , even for a novice like me!! I feel however that there are a few disadvantages to this machine. The first is that the machine has rather a flimsy feel especially the lift up top for the photocopier and scanner which isn't particularly robust. The second problem is the ink cartridges, these are all individual ie. a seperate cartridge for black, cyan, magenta and yellow. The cost for ink therefore can be expensive. Brother ink cartridges are not also as easy to purchase on the high street as some other makes although they can be purchased on the internet and i did notice yesterday that tesco has just started to sell the black cartridge for this machine. An expert toner

...Boots expert sensitive toner I like the Boots expert range and find they suit my skin and cause no nasty reactions, so when this was on special offer at half price I naturally bought it. The Hypoallergenic toner has been specially formulated for sensitive skin and contains aloe vera to soothe the skin. Great for homework

...Having 3 computers in the house and being connected to a wireless home network, it made sense to get a network printer. A printer that we could just connect to the router that everyone on our network could access. Mine cost me £116 from a local office supplies store though I understand it can be bought for less at other places. The only lead it came with was it's mains lead. In order to use The Brother DCP-310CN on your network, it first needs to be connected to the router (the printer is not wireless network enabled), then the printer drivers and software (if required) need to be installed on each computer that will be accessing it. Review of Step Brothers

Oki toner cartridge - Professional, excellent quality printing.

Advantages: Professional quality. Simple to change, good colour
Disadvantages: Expensive, not sure if it is recyclable

...I have been using the Oki toner cartridges for apporximately 12 months. In my opinion the quality is fantastic, clear and precise. When a notice pops up telling me to replace the cartridge it can be ignored for quite a considerable time, even when running low on certain colours I have still found that the quality is good. When the time comes that the colour reproduction is not good enough then as long it is not for an important document I have found that by just simply removing the cartridge, shaking it about a bit and replacing it, it can bring the colour back to life and will add extra life to it.On the whole I feel it produces professional print quality. I think it is an expensive item but have not compared the longevity against an alternative product....

Review of OKI toner cartridge (43324422)

It's simply a toner!

Advantages: great clean feeling, sooths spots
Disadvantages: has no effect on pore size

...Having fallen in love with simple's light daily moisturiser I decided to try the travel size toner. Now bearing in mind I had never used a toner before (sorry to all those girls screaming!) I really love this product! I am now hooked and use it twice daily and I am disgusted that I didn't use toner before! For all of you who don't... you better start! For years thinking that after I had washed my face all the dirt was gone, imagine my disbelief when I used this toner and discovered all the makeup and dirt that was STILL on my face! Spritz-on Toner For All Skin Types

Advantages: Leaves skin feeling really fresh and cool, soft and smooth, doesn't dry or strip skin

This is not something I would normally do, especially as I don't really like the Dermalogica range, but knowing the damage that alcohol based toners that you put on cotton wool and swipe across your face can do, this sounded like a good investment. It costs around £20 for a 250ml bottle, but as usual shop around and you may find it cheaper. Dermalogica say this refreshing blend of ingredients gives you critical hydration. It contains Lavender extract to soothe and purify, Balm Mint and Aloe Vera to cool and soften, extracts of Arnica and Cucumber to refresh and condition and moisture-binding proteins to allow for more efficient moisture absorption.
