Big Brother 7,-----Well that's th end of that...
Review of Channel 4 - Big Brother by

Advantages: Its Entertaining when they are arguing
Disadvantages: Some of the members drive you crazy
...Big Brother
~~~~~~~~~
The idea of this is pure 24 hour a day,7 days a week,for nearly 3 months of reality T.V.
For anyone who has never seen this show,basically thousands of wannabe housemates go through an audition to tell Big Brother why they would be a good housemate.
The house itself is especially built and filled with camera`s that monitor the housemates every move 24 hours a day,also housemates must also wear microphones on at all times.
The house contains no televisions,no radios and no pens or writing equipment.The house is full of mirrors which all have camera`s behind them so that ther is nowhere for the housemates to get away from the cameras.
Each week it is up to the public to vote the housemate which they want to leave.(The housemates up...
What about the Little Brother
Review of Channel 4 - Big Brother by
Tribute
Advantages: Funny
Disadvantages: Long spellsof silence
...Before anybody starts accusing me of ‘jumping on the Big Brother Band Wagon’, I can tell you, I was here from the start. I read about in the daily star. I watched that painful 1st and the more important second week. I was jumping for joy when Sada got evicted. And most of all, I love Big Brother.
This may be a bold statement, but it is true. The concept is just so addictive.
For those of you who have not seen one of the first 2 series of Big Brother, I shall give you a basic run down of the rules.
10 people get put in a house. They are filmed by cameras and are allowed no contact with the out side world. Every week they each say 2 names to big brother about who they wish to be put up for eviction. The 2* with the most votes go up for the public to ring in and vote for who they want to be evicted from the house...
Big Brother Part 1
Review of Channel 4 - Big Brother by
mrpaella
Advantages: Addictive and riveting viewing
Disadvantages: You either love or hate it
...ORIGINALLY WRITTEN August 2001
On a Saturday afternoon a few years ago I tuned into MTV to see some music videos. Instead of videos being shown an episode of ‘The Living World’ was broadcast. This is a real life soap opera featuring a few 20 something’s from USA. Every aspect of their lives was recorded 24 hours per day and highlights shown weekly.
An American-Chinese girl was the prettiest of the lot. I could not believe that viewers would be interested in the mundane lives of other people. Being Saturday afternoon I quickly switched over to the sport. But ‘The Living World’ proved to be a ratings hit and several subsequent series were made. This was the first reality TV series.
When Big Brother 1 had hit the screens I really was not too bothered. There was plenty of hype involved in marketing...
Oh Brother
Review of Big Brother 3 (2002) by
Tribute
Advantages: ...
Disadvantages: ...
...~Introduction~
Big Brother is, and, since it started in those hazy days of 2000, has always been the highlight of my television calendar. I would be the first to admit that I am a sucker for a good reality TV programme, and Big Brother is the daddy of them all.
It all began in Holland, when a little known TV show called 'Big Brother' hit the air. It soon became the countries most watched programme and the company that owns the rights to it, Endemol, started to sell to show to companies all around the globe. Luckily one of them was our own channel 4.
~Big Brother Hits the UK~
Channel 4 didn't expect much of Big Brother 1, and neither did the British public. I can remember reading a little article in a National Newspaper that told of channel 4 starting this show, presented by Davina McCall. The brought the dates forward from...
Big bother in the Big Brother House!!
Review of Big Brother 5 (2004) by
carminator
Advantages: Reality TV at it's best
Disadvantages: Not to everyone's liking.
...Big Brother is a concept that originated in Holland, with now multi-millionaire John De Mol, and developed by his production company Endemol. The programme was first shown in September 1999 in the Netherlands (house mates were let out on December 31st just before the millennium celebrations started).
As I used to live in Holland I watched the first ever Big brother, it was the best climax ever to decide the final winner to the first ever programme on such a day like the turn of the century. I can’t remember who the winner was but it was extremely tense in most houses in Holland as the programme got unbelievable ratings.
So what is Big Brother?
Big Brother is based upon the George Orwell’s 1949 novel ‘1984’, a dystopia (the opposite of utopia) where Big Brother is the all-seeing leader. It is basically a reality TV show, where...
Big Brothers cheeky little Brother
Review of Big Brothers Little Brother by
princesssoapy
Advantages: see op
Disadvantages: not long enough
...Now everyone should have heard of Big Brother (BB), especially if you read/write ops on Ciao, you cannot have missed at least one op about this brilliant (in my opinion) reality show where they put 12 housemates together in a big house and we all watch them through the many cameras all about.
This op is not going to say anymore about the Big Brother experience because if you don't know what I am talking about then read my op on the subject or one of the other 30+ ops, you see it is very popular, no this op is going to concentrate on the cheeky chappie that is Big Brothers Little Brother (BBLB).
This show is hosted by Dermot O'leary and is on Sun-Thurs on E4 at 7pm and on Fri on Ch4 at 6.30pm there are also some repeats but these are usually late night on E4.
All week the show features the last housemate to be evicted...
Big Brother has a Little Brother???
Review of Big Brothers Little Brother by
MarcoG
Advantages: Great if you're a fan of Big Brother
Disadvantages: Rubbish if you hate Big Brother
...Ok, bare with me, this is probably the shortest review I've written in a while...you'll understand why it's so short once you've read it, as quite frankly it could have been summed up with a four letter expletive, that rhymes with 'twit'.
Big Brother's Little Brother, is basically a magazine/fanzine TV Show all about Channel4's Big Brother. The show used to be presented by the lovely Dermot O'Leary, but for the series currently on at the moment is presented by (the rather random) duo: Zezi Ifore and George Lamb. It is on TV virtually everyday, but it's popularity has dwindled somewhat along with the popularity of Big Brother. When Dermot was on the show it was on 6pm on Channel 4, but nowadays it has been relegated to E4, currently on at 6pm also.
When they show starts, there is usually some sort of 'news section' about what...
Big Brother's Little Brother
Review of Getback [PA] - Little Brother by
XICripZ
Advantages: Quite original
Disadvantages: Little variation
...I hadn't heard of this group, Little Brother, until 2005, when they released their second album entitled "The Minstrel Show", obviously gaining a lot of criticism due to the name, it drew me in to find out more about what they are about. Since this album, they have brought out two EPs ("The Commercial Free EP" and "Separate But Equal"), leading up to this "Getback".
Little Brother was a North Carolina-based Hip Hop trio, consisting of Phonte, Rapper Big Pooh and 9th Wonder, but since the latter member left they are now a duo. 'The 9th Wonder of Little Brother' left because his role was to be a producer for their beats, so he wasn't attending their tours, and his presence wasn't really required to make the group work. They have officially stated that there is no beef between the existing members of the group and 9th Wonder, so...
Brotherly Love
Review of Brother HL 1440 by
izzwizz
Advantages: Excellent paper handling, easy installation, reliable.
Disadvantages: Expensive toner cartridges, occasional black dots when printing.
...We run a small office, and originally bought two Kyocera FS-600 laser printers for printing the small quantity of technical manuals that we produce. The Kyocera drums are supposed to be super-environment-friendly and last for 100,000 pages. Sadly, this proved not to be the case. After our fourth drum at a total of only 60,000 pages, the first printer was out of guarantee and we looked around for something else. Cost is of course important, but to us, print quality is a number one concern. After comparing lots of print-outs in PC World, we opted for a Brother HL-1250. This printer ran wonderfully for a year, but when the drum needed replacing it turned out that we could buy a brand new Brother HL-1440 for just £20 more than the cost of a new drum. Thus my computer now has a one-year old Brother HL-1440, and I thought I would tell you...
Brothers on the war path for revenge
Review of Four Brothers DVD by
wendybull
Advantages: Excellent shoot out scene
Disadvantages: /
...Four Brothers is one of the best films to come out of 2005. It looks at revenge, bonding of brothers, corruption, gangs and so much more. The violent scenes in this are not overdone; they are all essential to the story and the development of the characters for the viewer. Even the Mercer House Shootout (more later) is done in a way that every single shot fired is fired for a reason and not just to put another gun shot in the movie.
THE STORY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The film starts with an elderly woman in a corner shop telling a young boy off for shop lifting a candy bar. She is trying to educate him to stop thieving and build a better life for himself. You can tell she cares about the kids of the community straight away. As she moves to the back of the shop two gun men burst into the shop. Their faces are hidden behind balaclavas...
