Brown hasn't lost it

Advantages: Great story, flows nicely, good characters
Disadvantages: Keeps you up all night

...of the science was a little complicated (I really don't have a scientific mind at all) and I had to double read a few bit to ensure that I understood them fully. As I said, I had every intention of not reading the entire thing, but every time I started a new chapter I thought to myself 'right, this is definitely the last one', but then I'd get to the end of the chapter and I just had to find out what happened next, so then it was 'just one more chapter can't hurt'. As for the characters, well Robert Langdon is typical Robert. If you haven't read any of the other books I don't think this one would give you a real understanding of him, although it does give you some insight into his past and his days as a new lecturer. Disadvantages: Tarantion isn't for everyone

...While at times I have found Quentin Tarantino's nonlinear storytelling quite frustrating, I do tend to enjoy his movies. Jackie Brown, his third as a director, may not seem like the most stylistic of his works within the first sitting -- especially when it has Pulp Fiction to contend with -- but it's a film that will grow on you each time you watch it. Kingsmill Brown and White Bread

...When I am not baking my own bread (see my review on the Panasonic bread maker) I mostly buy and enjoy Kingsmill bread, especially their 50/50 range. If you are looking for Kingsmill Brown bread then look no further than Kingsmill 50/50 bread. I really enjoy brown bread but sometimes, for example when you want a bit of toast, brown bread is not always the best and I look for something different. I still however would like the health benefits of a brown loaf as opposed to a white loaf. Kingsmill 50/50 is actually a soft, white loaf but is actually baked with 50% of white flour and 50% of wholegrain flour so you get the benefits of both without having to give up white bread which most everybody prefers I would say. The Brown Bunny

Advantages: Interesting character study.
Disadvantages: Difficult viewing, technical quality flawed.

...When Vincent Gallo's The Brown Bunny was first screened at the Cannes Film Festival, the majority of the audience walked out. Those that remained went on to hail it as being the worst film in the history of the festival. Feuds broke out between Gallo and a number of critics, most notably Roger Ebert, who Gallo went so far as to put a curse on him. Since then, Gallo has gone on to re-edit The Brown Bunny, excising nearly a quarter of the film in order to improve it. The newer version has been welcomed by critics, even those he cursed. The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown- Ancient Mysteries

Advantages: A good read
Disadvantages: Part of the plot is not too convicing

.... Personally, it gives me a good reflection for my faith. And finally, even though there are a few issues with the book, overall it is still a good read. For those who are new to Dan Brown, I would not recommend to read it straight away as it may end up being different from your expectation. Reading other of his books will get you used to his style of writing. Then you can proceed with the Lost Symbol, which I think is slightly different to his other works....
