...As some of you may know i have recently moved house and i have purchased my leather suite from the land of leather, i just had to write a review on the level of service i recieved and the quality of the suite itself. So it was the beginning of April and some of you may recall an advertisement being on television for the land of leather a range of special deals for one day only. So as i was interested in buying a new suite i took a drive to my nearest land of leather to view the suites which where part of this special twelve hour spectacular. The showroom had a magnificient range of leather and material sofas and chairs in many shapes and sizes at quite reasonable prices as other furniture showrooms i had been to before had been expensive. ...I purchased a sofa from this store earlier this year and was a little shocked when the salesman told me they'd try and have it delived in 6 weeks (Before buying I was expecting the 12 week standard) So I wasn't too disappointed when it took 12 weeks to be delivered, although I'm still not sure it would have been delivered at all if I hadn't rung them the week before delivery and asked when it was coming. The after sales service this company offers is appalling, the sofa when delivered was badly scratched in a couple of places and also missing 2 cushions, I rung the customer services and was told they'd send someone round to look at the scratches but there couldn't do nothing about the missing cushions - for this I would need to ring the store where I purchased the sofa. Not Real Leather

Advantages: None at all
Disadvantages: You can't be sure of what you're getting and the quality is dredfull!

...the shiny elastic brown stuff that was peeling off I found it was stuck to what seemed to be a beige cloth. What I had thought was a leather couch clearly isn't but as it's a year or so down the line I'm screwed. My advice would be not to touch anything from this company as representing plaster of paris for Mahaogony and fake leather as the genuine article can only be described as deceitful in my book....

Land Of Leather, Wednesbury

Advantages: Out of town shopping centre
Disadvantages: Poor customer service, no ownership

...in stock a refund was not possible (told you I smelt a fish), even though I stressed this was not my fault. He did not offer me an apology, no compensation and did not acknowledge my letter of complaint. I then asked to speak with the area manager, he said he will ask him to give me a call and guess what; you got it - a week later I?m still waiting. As you can see the customer service you will receive from Land Of Leather is second to none, my advise - why give them the opportunity? Take your custom elsewhere, maybe a small firm where they will value your custom much more than these large firms to whom you?re just another figure. If anyone can offer me any advice on my dilemma above this would be much appreciated, I have spoken with trading standards who say because the sofas are in stock there is not a lot they can do. dr browns bottles ????

Advantages: great for wind and colic
Disadvantages: leak, scratch and to many parts to it

...in my experience with dr browns bottles they are great for preventing wind and colic but they have a few down sides so are they worth the extra money are that the bottles leak if not upright and the milk comes up the tube and out of the bottles as you warm it up they get scratched easy and you can only steralise 2 bottles at a time as there are so many parts to each bottle. the bottles are quite wide so you cant fit 2 in a double thermal bag and the level one teats got blocked up had to swap to level two earlier than reccommended. if i had to buy baby bottles again i would look for another product that helps with wind and colic....

Review of Jackie Brown (Collector's Edition) (DVD)

Land of Leather excelled in my opinion.

Advantages: Very fast service and simple process.
Disadvantages: None with this sale.

...and comfy and reclines so am very happy indeed. My only negative was a large sachet of silica gel was left down the side of the sofa which thankfully i found as my little one could have played with it and eaten the contents which would not have been very good as i believe it is dangerous to eat but it was just overlooked but others might want to check if you have little children or animals. CONCLUSION So don't be put off by all the negatives comments of others on here as some of us have had great service as i have and are very pleased with the land of leather, Also from buying saturday evening to delivery wednesday morning . Brilliant!...

...I purchased a 3 2 sofa deal from Land of Leather Belfast on 30th Dec. 07. I had spent the whole Sunday afternoon wandering around various Belfast furniture shops with my mother while she found something she wanted. Eventually we returned back to Land of Leather as my mother had eventually made up her mind and went back to one of the first sofas she seen - it was in stock and her other choice had a delivery time of 12-14 weeks. (typical woman, but that is another story !) I duly paid the assistant and rather than pay £69 delivery said that I would arrange collection myself and was given the warehouse number to ring to arrange a suitable time. Land of Leather is land of bureaucratic service

Advantages: may be cheaper than others
Disadvantages: late deliveries, do not answer the phone, no coordination between them

My wife and I chose these sofas among all other sofas we liked specifically because their staff told us they would be delivered by the 20th Sep 07, unlike other sofas, as we were going to have a celebration on the 23rd Sep 07. We insisted on their commitment to delivery by that date before buying the sofas and their staff made it clear it would be delivered on time if not earlier, saying that the item was available in Norfolk waiting to be delivered.
