Beresford Adams, a good estate agent!
Advantages: good communication, regulated, friendly
Disadvantages: none!
...Looking to buy a property in this turbulent market, with 4 possibles after 60+ viewings, we have come across many different agents with many different working methods!
So far, Beresford Adams have been the best. On seeing the property on RightMove, we emailed and received a reply answering all our questions within the hour. The questions had involved them contacting the vendor, which we thought was excellent, considering we had not done anything but email at this stage. We then set about making a viewing which was hassle free and sorted again very fast. After the viewing, we emailed them to ask further, and again efforts were made to reply back to us quickly. They assigned us one person to make sure the person we spoke to knew the case, so there was no confusion when contacting the office.
Due to the property being old, it had...

FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Ow Bruce it's God...???

Released in 2003 this hour and 41 minute (101 minute) comedy follows the life of a disgruntled news reporter who feels totally let down by God himself? leading to some rather strange situations.
** BRIEF PLOT **
Bruce Nolan, (played by Jim Carrey) is not happy with his life and feels as if God is laughing at him from above?

Bruce Lee Story
Advantages: Excellent Movie, Brilliant Acting
Disadvantages: Aparrently not full truth to life
...The Bruce Lee Story
Last night I sat in at watched this movie on TV, I am not very into martial arts but I like life stories so I watched it.
Basic Intro?
It started off as Bruce Lee as a young boy living in china with his father and his father is teaching him how to fight and defend himself in the real world. His father had no choice but to send his son away once he was old enough in order for him to have a better life. So off he went to America where he ended up washing dishes for a living as he was seen very different by the Americans. One day as he was working out in the gym, he was spotted for his moving skills and his fighting skills and was asked to teach the people what he knows. So, he started teaching his fighting moves, it started with 2 boys, then 1 girl, then a huge class. It was this class where he met his wife...

Bruce alrighty
Advantages: good idea
Disadvantages: badly executed, seen it all before
...Hands up who hasn't been to the cinema in ages, all the four time a year visitors, all of you who thought 'mmmmm i haven't been to the cinema in ages and that Jim Carrey is a funny guy, i saw him on Jonathan Ross and the adverts look H. I. L. ARIOUS' Well all you popcorn munchers, you'll probably love this.
I didn't but more on that later
Bruce almighty is Carreys return to mainstream comedy after the misfire that was The Majestic (anyone seen it?) and sees him try and return to the gurning loveable everyman in a supernatural situation a'la Liar Liar. Starring as Bruce Nolan, a field reporter for a local news station, Bruce gets all the quirky stories that may endear him to the public as a wacky guy, but doesn't get him the professional respect he requires to get the coveted anchor job. At work the race for the anchor job gets...

In Bruce we trust.
Advantages: Some cheap laughs, OK if there's nothing else on
Disadvantages: Tired, formulaic
...Bruce Nolan works as a local news reporter, reporting soul-destroyingly boring stories in his home town of Buffalo. When he hears that his arch rival, Evan Baxtor, has been promoted to anchorman, he loses control completely, all his frustrations and anger pouring out. Live on TV.
He is promptly sacked, and when he crashes his car and is beaten up, his day can't get any worse. He blames God for all the disasters in his life, and begins a vicious hate campaign against God, whoever he is, for giving Bruce Nolan such a bad life, despite the fact he has a dedicated girlfriend in the form of Grace, a nursery-school teacher who adores him.
God, sick of all the abuse he is getting from Bruce, decides to let Bruce step into his shoes and see what a difficult job he really has. Contacting him via a pager, God leads him to his offices...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54
Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.
...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Keep Working on that Dream Bruce
Advantages: None to mention
Disadvantages: Feel let down
...I never really got Bruce when he was in his prime, he was always one of Mum's favourites so it couldn't be cool to like him right?
In recent years however I have come to appreciate 'The Boss' and his work especially his early work - singles such as Dancing in the Dark, Born in the USA, Born to Run, Streets Of Philadelphia (great song, brings a tear to my eyes), Glory Days... the list is endless. Now I totally get it!
I thought Working on a Dream (his 24th album so I am told) would become a classic album in years to come and having missed out in the early days thought 'hey I'll have some of that'
Oh dear, oh dear. 'The Boss' is showing his almost 60 years vocally, sadly he can't pelt them out like he used to (he is almost 60 though fair play!) but its a dissapointment.
The opening song Outlaw Pete is one paced and very repetitive...

Review of Working On A Dream [Digipak] - Bruce Springsteen

A Tale of Two Bruces
Advantages: A double album featuring both sides of Springsteen'd writing
Disadvantages: A bit too long
...and kids in Baltimore, Jack
I went out for a ride and I never came back…”
The album contains more than its fair share of excellent rockers, opening with “The Ties That Bind” and “Sherry Darling”. There are several songs in this vein throughout the album, although they become rare on the second disc, but you still have the jokey “Cadillac Ranch” and “You Can Look But You’d Better Not Touch”. This is Bruce the rock’n’roller , the spirit of Elvis, Chuck Berry and the Beach Boys.
However the album contains of Bruce's best ever songs , the title track, in which the subject gets his girlfriend pregnant , marries her, gets a job , gets laid off and divorced, examining a more realistic and all to often real scenario in modern times , stripping away all the romance...

Bruce Springsteen - The Rising
Advantages: emotive, personal
Disadvantages: -
...Shall we say something of a different review from me this time round. Modern rock aside, grunge gods given a break and onto one of the most respected musicians of my era. Bruce ?The Boss? Springsteen is a man that has always known how to connect with his audience, whether it be through a 10 million selling album, a appearance on any one of the numerous American late night talk shows or even a John Kerry political rally, he?s a man with a great influence on the public. The music he makes gets to the point and is direct, generally incorporating beautiful harmonies as heard on ?Born In The USA? and ?Streets Of Philadelphia?. Despite not being what you would consider a fan, I find it very easy to sit back and listen to his music and feel genuinely emotive. He?s a man that, if you don?t respect as a person, then should definitely respect as...
