...very disappointed expect more from BT find handsfree facilty absolute rubbish having a 80% hearing loss this is not very good also have connected through loop system or would be no use to me whatsoever purchased privately at argos or would have been too expensive 4 meother facilities store fone book is gd just the sound is absolutely terrible for me even tho supports hearing aid user its just not up to scratch for that at all im realy very angry espcially as bt make people on looudspeaker mode even for normal hearing person is not good enough standard of course this conincides with handsfree mode and simply not good enough i really thought i woukd be much better off than binatone i had before... Disadvantages: the ring tone is annoying

...The BT Decor 425 is not the most attractive home telephone system, it lacks the certasin cutting edge technology found in cordless more up to date telephone units, but what it lacks in these departments, it more than compensates in the functionality department, ease of use and value for money. We bought our BT Decor 425 as an emergency telephone when we moved into our new apartment as we needed a way of communicating with the outside world more cheaply than using our mobile telephones. As it was only intended as a stop gap in the interim between moving in and geting completely settled I thought that £24.99 was more than a fair price. Setting the telephone up was very easy but I didn't expect that it would need to be plugged in to power the built in answering machine. ...I have been using the BT studio 1500 twin digital, cordless telephone answering machine for some time now, I have the base unit answer machine downstairs with the extra hand set which is a BT studio 1000 and charger upstairs. The telephones appear to be fine but can be quite complicated to get used to. ...This phone was given to me free from a friend because he done away with his land-line and now only uses his mobile. At first I thought he was taking the **** , why would someone just give me such a nice sweet looking phone. Anyhow he wasn't and now its mine. The base is small (17 cm long, 15cm wide and 5cm deep). The model that I have got is blue with a silver face around the screen. BT decor 310 is clearly marked at the top. There are 3 buttons and a D-pad on it as well. Button 1 has a picture of a pencil on it and has enter marked next to it. Button two has a picture of a phone and last but not least the Third button has a picture of a book on it, with exit written next to it. Advantages: That "personal" touch
Disadvantages: Takes time to settle

BT advises that it will take up to ten days for the connection to self-adjust to the optimal speed for your line (up to 8megs), In less than a week I was running at 6.3 Mbs download speed (although upspeeds are STILL limited!!!). The Home Hub is functional and actually looks acceptable as part of the decor, and the Hub Phone 1010 looks the part, although you can use your own phone if you wish. There is a 24/7 online Help desk, which can seem a little slow; but as it is normally used when there is a problem maybe that can be pardoned because it might be a connection fault. It may not be the cheapest option on the market, but you have the established name, guaranteed equipment that downloads its own updates without your needing to bother, and it is far FAR better than... ...Have been looking around for a cheap BT corded phone and plumped for the Decor 310, mainly for the relatively cheap price of £24.99 from The Link. So far it has been a good purchase and it does the basics well. The main points, good and bad, are summarised below : Good points -Competitive price -Hands free option allowing one to hold conversation without lifting the receiver, great if you need both hands free -Number storage facility allowing 20 numbers with names to be stored -Caller display facility which shows the number of person ringing you assuming you have subscribed for the facility with BT. ...I got this phone for Christmas to use in my house at University. The phone is available to buy from just over £20 which seems a reasonable price to me. Features: Corded, white telephone Wallmounted or freestanding. LCD display which displays called ID (if you sign up for this with BT at a small cost). Date, time and month also displayed. Adjustable ring tone and loudspeaker. Handsfree 30 name and number address book New message indicator (if you have 1571 BT Answer set up with BT which is free!) Built-in Alarm (to wake me up in the morning) Several different ring tones. Flashing LED on incoming call. Advantages: Excellent food, atmosphere and service
Disadvantages: A little pricey

...In Walsall there is an area called Streetly, one of the nicer areas of the town. It is not far from Aldridge and Sutton Park. The Ruby has been there for years and every nowandagain we go for a special meal. The food is excellent and the service is spot on - no complaints whatsoever. You need a car/taxi to get there. The general decor is pleasing and when there are alot of folks in the atmosphere is jolly and bubbly. It is not cheap - but having said that there are more expensive restaurants around. As the food is so good as a special occasion it is really a special place to wine and dine and be romantic. Recommend the Aromatic Crispy Duck for starters - YUM!!! If you search the BT Yellow Pages for The Ruby at Walsall (Streetly) you will find the address, phone number and map - so go and enjoy!... Read review
