...BT Freestyle 7110 Quad Entering the 21st Century I am, it has to be said, not enamoured by technology. Yes, I own a laptop, a TV that’s about the size of a postage stamp, a DVD player that I point the remote at, having pressed random buttons, and pray. I even have a free view box and will shortly be getting BT’s free TV service (BT Vision). But I don’t buy into the whole technology upgrade thing. You know what I mean. The idea that a bigger television, a flatter television, an all in one HD ready non-carbon neutral piece of non-biodegradable definitely not recycled bit of plastic will make me happy. ...I bought the Bt Freestyle 70 Silver Analogue Cordless Telephone in June 2000 from Argos for £29.95. So far it has been brilliant. I have enjoyed incredibly clear calls. It looks very stylish and has a very small base which can be wall mounted. It has 10 memories, last number redial, ringer volume control on handset, base to handset page facility, 8 channels auto selection, out of range check, tone and pulse takes and has an option to re-tune the reception during calls if the quality goes. ...I have a bt cellnet u phone. It is prob one of the best phone out of the pay and go and the u phone. as it has a 5p text messaging service, 5p to bt cellnet phones. The one thing that is not so good about it is the fact that some areas of the uk it struggles to get a signal. So it can take a while for you to get ya messagers. But on a whole it is a very good phone. A good buy to keep on the bt cellnet tarrif would be to but a Nokia 7110 as it has a internet capablity for only 10p a min so it worth it in the end..... ...BT Freestyle 3200 Twin I have had these twin telephones for about a year. I think they look quite stylish in two shades of silver, and because there are two one can go cordless in the bedroom which is useful. The design of the telephone makes it comfortable to hold for periods of time, as they are nicely rounded and are quite light. They are very useful to carry around whilst chatting on the phone.. The display area is clear and the numbers on the phone itself are clear and easy to read. The base unit is quite sturdy and sits steadily on any surface it is placed. However there is a problem with this telephone, you are supposed to be able to turn up the volumn on the phone and even when you put it onto top volumn it is difficuolt to hear the caller, and the caller has difficulty hearing what you are saying. ...It's never going to win a design award as each 'phone is bulky and quite ugly looking and the main 'phone's base is big in comparison to its competitors!! Saying this the BT FREESTYLE 3200 quad pack 'phones are easy to use and the menu is very simple. The 'phone book holds 30 names and numbers, you can put a call onto handsfree so if you need to pick up / move a child / pet or wash up etc you can while still yabbering away!! Or ... if you're me, you HAVE to put it on handsfree as you've forgotten to charge the 'phone and the battery will die whilst talking if you don't charge it at the same time!!!! The 'phone has 10 hours talk time and 1000 hours standby and works upto 300m away from the base unit. All in all ,it's a cheap and cheerful product it does what it's meant to and won't set you back too much!... Read review

...I bought the Nokia 7110 through www.genie.co.uk. This meant that although the phone cost £139.99 on BT cellnet's pay as you go tarrif, I receive free texts and free WAP. All I have to do is top up £10 a month which I just about do anyway. This phone will actually save me money in the long run as I used to spend more than £10 on texts alone on my old phone!!! )&weekend calls are 2p/minute)The nokia 7110 is a very nice phone itself , except maybe that is too big. Features on the net are very limited but it makes for some mild amusement browsing the net when bored on a train or in a lecture! Anyway this package is strongly recommended . However beware that Genie's customer care is the crapest ive ever seen. ...In desperate need of a nerw telephone (mine looked as though it came out of the ark!) I took a trip to my local electrical Superstore to see what was on offer these days. With so many to choose from I eventually narrowed my choice down to a BT phone as a safe option. One of my main priorities was that it had to be a cordless phone to allow me to talk out of earshot of all those little ears which wag when the telephone rings in my house! I eventually settled for a very well priced phone at £49.99, namely the BT Digital cordless phone , model BT Freestyle 2010. I firmly believe I made the right choice as I am so happy with it. ...site so far namely; BBC, Excite, UK WAP and Jumba. I have also tried to access my email, however this only appears to work properly on Nokia 7110's connected to the BT Cellnet service. The other range of services on the phone are much the same as previous versions, except for features such as a better alarm clock and a VERY basic calender function. I use the phone every day and it is a very good business tool, however for the low usage mobile user, it may be a waste of time, as Orange are to scrap the basic charge structure for wap access "currently 5ppm" and somehow "re-do" them.....
