BT Studio 1500 TWIN
Review of BT Studio 1500 TWIN by
Becca5
Advantages: Easy to use; stylish looking.
Disadvantages: No speaker phone.
...This is a great phone. The functions are easy to use and it is good looking, compact and stylish. We've got another BT phone with answerphone that we have had for 12 years and still works so hopefully these will last the same length of time! A Binatone phone with speaker phone only lasted a few years - the speaker phone was never clear either so we weren't interested in having that again and decided to opt for a BT one again albeit with no speaker phone. The receiver is very light and is comfortable to hold for long calls. You can easily programme names and numbers into the address book without having to struggle with the manual. The answerphone too is easy to use and is very clear....

Excellent value for money
Review of BT Studio 1500 TWIN by
lulujackson
Advantages: Easy to use answer machine, attractive cordless phones with caller display.
Disadvantages: Can be a little annoying to get used to
...'s to the call length.
On the plus side if you are answering a call from one hand set someone picking up the other handset will not automatically be able to interrupt a call so from this angle the hand set maintains privacy until you transfer the call manually to the other handset.
Also you can make calls between the two handsets by pressing the int button then the number of the other phone, for example the 1500 handset is 1 whilst the 100 handset is 2.
An excellent feature of the handset is the caller display which will also show a persons name once programmed in to the handset phone book.
The answer machine it's self is very easy to use and set. With a flashing light to see instantly at a glance if you have a new message, easy vice record function and one touch message erase button.
I personally think the BT studio 1500 twinset is very nice...

Mind the GAP
Review of BT Studio 500 by
cootuk
Advantages: Fairly cheap answerphon & cordless combo
Disadvantages: Not GAP compatible so cannot use non studio 500 handsets
...My BT on-air base station recently went bellyup, so I was in the market for a combined cordless phone with answerphone. The BT Studio 500 has recently been reduced from £50 to £40, so I thought this would be a good unit. A twin handset unit is available for £50.
The BT Studio 500 unit itself has all the usual features of a modern cordless phone, except one which I shall come to later. The answerphone is also well featured. Overall this is a phone that should compete on price, quality, and features with other makes.
I had two GAP compatible handsets from my BT on-air setup so thought I would link these into the Studio 500. GAP compatibility means you can program any make GAP handset to work with any make GAP base station, and is an industry standard. Reading the manual I find that the Studio 500, despite being digital cordless...

Bt Studio 1100 = Perfect Efficiency
Review of BT Studio 1100 TWIN by
f18nfz
Advantages: £35 - called id, assign ringtones, 300m outdoor range, appearance=perfect
Disadvantages: only 3 melodies! no txt messaging/answerphone
...Purchased from Argos recently to replace my existing BT Synergy 600 (4 handsets that have all now failed (died))
Bt, british telecom are well known for their high standards in the telephone and broadband industry. I was very happy with my old bt phone, it had all the features one could ask for CALLER DISPLAY, cordless, extensive phone book, secrecy, last call and redial buttons along with 'int' - intercom to communicate from one handset to the other - used to transfer calls as well.
- the twin set cost me £35 and the single would've cost £19 from Argos.
I did some hunting around and found the Bt Freestyle 3200 was the same price (£35) in currys. The reason i didnt get this newer model is because its design is hideous compared to the sleek, slim and overall attractive appearance of the large keys Bt Studio handsets.
The Bt Studio...

BT Studio 1500
Review of BT Studio 1500 by
peterkirkby
Advantages: Big buttons, easy to use
Disadvantages: Answerphone doesn't keep time
...The phone is very straightforward. The phone book is logical to use and easy to select. The buttons are of a good size and press well. The feel of the phone in the hand is nice, it's contoured and is comfortable to hold to the ear, although not to hold with your shoulder (but we shouldn't do that should we!) The clarity is very good, but I'm never further than about 10m from the base, although it is an old building and we have some thick walls.
I'm very happy with the phone…
The answerphone on the other hand is not quite so good. The answerphone is in the base and again has nice clear logical buttons. The clarity of message is clear, so what's my problem you ask? It time stamps messages, but doesn't keep time so I get messages with Sunday 2am, when I know they arrived on Wewdnesday 10.30am. Not a problem when you're about but can...

Latest Review of BT Studio
Review of BT Studio by
moonlightsilvia
Advantages: Stylish and Modern
Disadvantages: The base unit ringing tone is quite annoying and loud
...The British Telecommunications BT Studio is a very good DECT phone (Digital phone).
The sound is very clear, the reception is excellent with no background noises AT ALL,
you can choose from two colours: grey or black. I’ve bought both of them and they both look nice but I must say the black one is more stylish (in my opinion). If you have the chance to choose…go for it ! :o)
The Range of reception is very good, 50 metres indoors and about 300 outdoors. Basically you can always hear your interlocutor very clearly wherever you are. You can add as many secondary units as you like…so it’s a great choice for families living in large houses. I also think that at the moment its value for money is Really GOOD, when I bought it three months ago it was about 70 pounds, now you can buy it for 40 pounds!! It’s definitely WELL WORTH IT...

For those who aren't bothered
Review of BT Studio 1100 TWIN by
maurimarzal
Advantages: Easy to use - Looks stylish
Disadvantages: Doesn't have the latest BT features
...Some people choose electricals and appliances to match the style of their house and the decoration, others look for the latest technology available without even considering the price. When my wife and I looked for a phone to put on our wedding list, all we looked for was for a phone we could use easily, wihout hassle and that did all we asked for: make phone calls and receive them. There are many brands and models but we decided for the BT STUDIO 1100 Twin.
The phones are silver and very slim. They both come with their respective lithium rechargable batteries and instructions to set them up. Two bases. The main one is a bit bigger than the second one but can be accomodated anywherein the house. Our main one is on a window ledge. That gives you the idea of how small they are. Both bases have a mains adaptor which means...

smart and easy
Review of BT Studio 1500 by
Craige0511
Advantages: having one
Disadvantages: no loudspeaker
...We have been wanting to upgrade from our old phone for a while now.
Anyway we went to a few stores that sold telephones, and in every shop the bt studio 1500 kept popping up, so we had a look at one.
Its a good looker, easy to hold and its cordless, the buttons are very easy to see and use, and the phone fits into your hand very nicley. Even the kids can use it, they found our last phone hard to use, too many buttons.
I think this little cordless phone is great, it is easy to use, has a nice feel to it, and is fine when having to use for a long time. It is very light like a mobile, and quite stylish, if i say so my self, as do all the family and friends.
This phone has a Phonebook,Secrecy Button,Adjust Volume Button, On Screen Display, and an Answering Machine, what i must say i very easy to use.
The phone has a user manual...

A phone, not a pile of plastic bags
Review of BT Studio 3500 by
JeffFromPoole
Advantages: good features, well packaged, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Can't be wall mounted
...Our Binatone cordless phone with built in answering machine was not a great success. When the batteries stopped working I could have replaced them but instead we decided to go looking for a better one.
We found the BT Studio 3500 in ASDA for a little under £30 and took it home.
BT should get a special mention for their excellent packaging. Normally when you buy a boxed electrical item you have to wade through loads of plastic wrap, sticky tape, tie wraps, and bags to get the item out. You are then stuck with a huge pile of polystyrene and plastic to get rid of.
Purbeck District Council, in their wisdom, only empty our wheely bins fortnightly so excess packaging can be a real bind.
This item was in a cardboard box, the spacers were card and instead of plastic there was tissue paper. Well done BT!

BT offers good Ranges of cordless phones
Review of BT Studio by
KH206cc
Advantages: Looks, Features, Good Phone
Disadvantages: Scatches easy
...Bought this for Me and my parents because I got so frustrated from the BT Quartet Phone 1500 Cordless phone w/ answering system - single-line operation. That just wound me up it was useless to use and boring. So I decide to buy the BT Cordless phone - DECT - single-line operation - 21897. Not a day goes by where I don’t think twice about that special day when I went to curry's and bought this far superior phone compared to the 1500. Ah the features are endless, for example: -
· Digital call quality
· Digital call security
· Caller display
· LCD display
· 10 number memory
· 10 number call log
· Prepared dialing
· Speech volume control
· Secrecy button
· Paging
· Last number redial
· Low battery warning
· Out of range warning
This phone is defiantly suitable and should be used for residential use only. The price was about £29...
