THE SYNERGY PHONE.
Review of BT Synergy 4100 QUAD by
apatra
Advantages: good looking with nice blue screen display
Disadvantages: does not have many features.
...I found the synergy phone faulty when I discovered that there was no loudspeaker and display of calling number so I got a bit disappointed. I wonder on how I could spend my £60 on a phone that lacked these vital features but that was quite silly on me to purchase some thing without knowing the vital features. Isn't it better for me splash 60 doe on a normal mobile phone of nokia and Sony Eriksson phones? But I wonder if I could get such phones at that amount.
Well I got enticed when I discovered that there is an SMS present so I have to get on with it. But the BT synergy phone has a bit advantage over the usual mobile phone in the sense that all the BT synergies are stronger and more lasting than the normal mobile phones.
Ease of use
----------------
The BT phone is very easy to use. First of all, when you switch...

Near Perfect Synergy
Review of BT Synergy 4500 Triple by
piggypine
Advantages: Lots of features, good range, battery life, text capacity
Disadvantages: not keen on tones
...The BT Synergy 4500 is just one more in a long line of BT produced phones, coming in a single, duo, trio and quad packages it is designed for homes and businesses alike. The phone is cordless with a separate docking unit for each handset, each handset is a good size fitting comfortably in the hand but not so small, like mobiles etc, that it is difficult to use properly. The sleek and stylish black handset features large easy to press buttons, they are well spaced and clear to read making the phone nice and easy to use, many phones I've used in the past have had their buttons too close or too small making it easy to dial wrongly or cut off a call when you're meant to be answering it. The phone also has an LCD display screen which shows such things as the incoming callers number and address book entries, it is backlit which is great...

BT Synergy 2150 - Overall a very good buy.
Review of BT SYN2150 by
AnnieG
Advantages: Cordless, compact, excellent sound quality, good value for money, lots of functions.
Disadvantages: Handset a bit small, can be uncomfortable for long conversations, fiddly to switch ans/mc on and off.
...We purchased the Synergy 2150 after much deliberation and arguing, and after protracted assessments of all the different phones on offer. The main reason for changing phones was the introduction of a new baby into our house, who is now a toddler, very mobile, and into absolutely everything - especially telephones. We wanted a phone that was cordless so it could be put out of his reach, but we also wanted an answering machine built in.
I wandered round the shops assessing different models and eventually decided that the BT Synergy 2150 had all the functions that we needed, it looked nice and it wasn't overly expensive. Some of the latest systems have "flip phones" and I didn't think this was too sensible with a little one who could easily break the flip cover off. Having got the phone at a price of £129.99, which we didn't feel...

Sturdy and long lasting Entry range cordless Phone
Review of BT Studio 100 by
andyjarvis
Advantages: Quick Easy Menus, Good Ring Volume, Excellent Battery
Disadvantages: Annoying Bleep on second Handset
...a second handset for £45. (Lots of special offers on this package)
Competition
------------------
Really no competition in this market, BT Has it sown up.
You can get the More basic BT Model which is the freestyle 2500 but the functions are very basic only 210 numbers in the phone book and it has the really badly design rubber keys that give you no idea if you have actually pressed a button or not!!
Going up the market you have the synergy 3105 twin set which again is a great phone but for the extra £20 you really get no extra features.
Whats Missing.
----------------------
If i were to say anything was missing fro this package it would be an answerphone but for this price you cant grumble. - If you require an answerphone go for the synergy3505 which is based on this phone but with the added function.
Really in this Market...

BT Synergy 3105
Review of BT SYN 3105 by
Fussells4
Advantages: Its cordless, with speaker phone
Disadvantages: You can lose the handset if you switch the sound off
...As our old phone broke we had to replace it immediately, so rather than compare phones in different shops we went into the nearest one, and asked for the cheapest phone!
Definitely shop around for this, as I got it for about £30, and I could have got it cheaper!
This is a single cordless handset with a base! You have a clip you can add onto the back, to attach to trousers etc. Which I find very handy when doing the housework!
Because this handset is cordless you are able to walk around with it! In the summer I tend to make calls outside, which is great, I can chat and sunbath at the same time!
You can store up to 50 names in the handset, and I know you are able to get caller ID, but it something you have to set up with BT, rather than something that automatically comes with the phone.
Im not very technically...

Ring Ring................Wow this is a good phone.
Review of BT Synergy 3105 by
RED_WINE
Advantages: Excellent value, Well made, Robust.
Disadvantages: No bad points at all.
...Buying a new phone :
After the digital cordless Binatone phones packed up it was time to shop around for a replacement. I would not recommend buying the first phone you see in Argos or on the internet, it's best to go out down the High street to see what's in the shops (see what's cooking as they say), after all a house phone will be used daily and it's important to buy one that meets your requirements whether it's value, quality, weight, design etc.
There was a few makes that we looked at including a smart Philips phone and a light weight Samsung but after a few coffees at Coffee Republic we decided to go for the digital BT Synergy 3105 phone.
BT 3105 Synergy Phone :
The digital BT 3105 Synergy digital phone offers both great value for money and is much better made than the awful white Binatone phone we had (more...

More features and larger address book
Review of BT SYN3505/2 by
kitty.cat
Advantages: Size of address book
Disadvantages: Entering numbers twice
...I bought this phone as a replacement for my BT SYNERGY700 for which I couldn't get a decent replacement battery.
I wanted the same kind of phone with a decent sized address book. Most of the phones I'd seen only held 20 numbers. However, this one offered 50 numbers for each handset. The only disadvantage was that I had to enter the numbers into both handsets - I couldn't quickly transfer them from one to the other.
The phone has caller ID (extra charge from line supplier) which is really helpful and there's a flashing envelope to warn you of missed calls - even if they don't leave a message.
The handset's not as comfortable as the Synergy 700 for holding in your hand nor it is as good for wedging between shoulder and ear for 'hands free'. However, it does have a hands free button so this isn't really a problem.
This new...

Bt Studio 1100 = Perfect Efficiency
Review of BT Studio 1100 TWIN by
f18nfz
Advantages: £35 - called id, assign ringtones, 300m outdoor range, appearance=perfect
Disadvantages: only 3 melodies! no txt messaging/answerphone
...Purchased from Argos recently to replace my existing BT Synergy 600 (4 handsets that have all now failed (died))
Bt, british telecom are well known for their high standards in the telephone and broadband industry. I was very happy with my old bt phone, it had all the features one could ask for CALLER DISPLAY, cordless, extensive phone book, secrecy, last call and redial buttons along with 'int' - intercom to communicate from one handset to the other - used to transfer calls as well.
- the twin set cost me £35 and the single would've cost £19 from Argos.
I did some hunting around and found the Bt Freestyle 3200 was the same price (£35) in currys. The reason i didnt get this newer model is because its design is hideous compared to the sleek, slim and overall attractive appearance of the large keys Bt Studio handsets.
The Bt...

Slim & attractive but lacks advanced functions
Review of BT Synergy 2110 TWIN by
Ghaz
Advantages: Slim, light, modern design,
Disadvantages: Only 3 ringer melodies; No answerphone function; no speaker
...on one handset to the other handset.
The clarity of sound on the phone is very good.
Unfortunately there are only 3 ringer melodies and only one of those sounds like a standard phone ringing tone.
There is a useful page facility which allows you to press a button on the base and it automatically makes the handset ring, allowing you to find it if lost.
There are functions that my Binatone has that this Synergy does not. e.g. Setting different ringer melodies for the base and handset.
Speaker function for the handset.
But overall range and clarity of the Synergy is far superior to the Binatone.
Overall I would recommend this phone.
You can't beat BT as a manufacturer of home phones.
I am currently looking for a Synergy 2150 (has built in answerphone) to link to my 2110....
