Restaurants and Nightclubs in Buenos Aires
Advantages: The best meat in the world!
Disadvantages: You may need a laxative after all that red meat!
...Restaurants in Buenos Aires.
If you go to Argentina, you know that the word vegetarian is unknown in there. so lets face it, you must try meat, so taste, so mmmmm...
so here are a few tips, if you are near Recoleta visiting Evita's (Eva Peron) grave you can walk along Junin Street where you can find a finest option of food, so instead of choosing the sports cafe, or the Henry j. beans ( yes! Argentina got them too!) You can give it a try in Cabaña Las Lilas restaurant. It is posh and not for a low budget (17 pounds per persons not wine incl.)However, you have to treat yourself in a place like this! The specialty is tenderloin that in spanish is lomo, but don't worry, the menu is in english too.
But what happen if you are visiting the docks? Ah! Here you can can invite yourself to Hereford and try their taste ribs (asado) or if...

Comfort in Buenos Aires
Advantages: Friendly staff, clean rooms
Disadvantages: Small lift, awful scrambled eggs
...The Kempinski Hotel is ideally located in the centre of Buenos Aires. You are within walking distance of numerous cafes, restaurants, shops, the metro, bus stops and many of the main attractions.
It is a small boutique hotel with friendly, competent staff who are happy to help you out.
We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights and were very happy with the place.
The hotel, is like many others in BA tall and narrow - the lifts barely fit two people, so let the porter take your suitcases up to your room - it is far easier than getting stuck doing it yourself.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable - you get a sofa and an en-suite as well as a huge double bed. The room is air conditioned - a must in summer as it is so hot outside.
There is cable TV with lots of random English speaking channels - so you can watch movies in English...

Aires And Graces
Advantages: Classy, cultural and (at the moment) cheap.
Disadvantages: The current economic situation continues to plague the nations spirit.
...3.5 times stronger. This situation has devastated many of BA's middle class as foreign banks like HBSC, Citibank and Boston Bank refuse to give customers access to their savings. As a result the financial heart of BA's is awash with battered metal shutters and a constant barrage of vitriol from its once affluent customers.
This has heralded uneasy times for the city with noisy protests an almost daily occurrence. So while backpackers get to see what BA has to offer you feel she is not her true self. A large proportion of Portenos (port city dwellers) have being drained of their zest for life and the recovery will doubtlessly take years.
Buenos Aires is by far the biggest city in Argentina with 13 million people (Cordoba the countries second city has only 1 million). It's sprawling city centre, known as the Microcentro, is defined...

Eat half a cow and Tango like Arnie in 'True lies'
Advantages: Cheap, interesting and great food.
Disadvantages: Not great for veggies and careful of opportunist theives
...WHERE WE STAYED
We stayed in the Emperador Hotel on Ave Libertador which was within walking distance of quite a few sights of Buenos Aires such as May Square, the Harbour area and the pedestrian shopping streets such as Florida St.
PLAZA DE MAYO
On our first day we had an official city tour which began in May Square ( Plaza de Mayo) which was named to commemorate Argentina's independence from Spain which began in May 1810 .We took the obligatory photo of the famous (Casa Rosada) Presidential Palace from where Evita stood on the balcony to talk to the people. We saw the white scarves painted around The Piramide de Mayo which is an obelisk in the middle of the square, this is where the wives and mothers of 'the disappeared' march every Thursday in memory of their relatives who disappeared up until 1983 and still haven't been found...

MUY BUENO.
Advantages: Interesting mixture of tastes and textures.
Disadvantages: None.
...---KINDER BUENO WHITE---
I adore Kinder Bueno, Kinder eggs, happy hippo, and all their other types of chocolate. I have the Kinder Bueno original bars quite often; I love the fluffy centre to them and the rich milk chocolate coating. So when I spotted the 'NEW Kinder Bueno White' I just had to try it. -
Basically the new white Kinder Bueno is a 'Happy Hippo' in disguise'. So for all the grown-ups out there who are too embarrassed to be seen buying and eating the little hippo, this comes as a great alternative. We picked these up at Woolies when buying our new chrome Russell Hobbs kettle yesterday. They always have the 'impulse buys' close to the till and low down for little hands to grab and pass to mum to buy for them. Anyway, they cost 49p per pack and they did look very inviting going by the illustration on the front...

Hotel Madero Not the best Location In Buenos Aries
Advantages: Waterfront ,Modern , walking Distance to Cafe and Restaurants
Disadvantages: Characterless Area , with a lot of Modern looking Apartments and Hotels
...I visit Argentina a lot , this Area has been re built from Old Warehouses and Docklands with some nice Restaurants and New Hotels.
It is by the waterfront and compared to the rest of Buenos Aries is a bit without Character something missing , Clinical even !.
The best area to stay is Recoleta.
The Hotel itself is a Sofitel and is very good , it is an upmarket Hotel but for the price you pay you can get better and Cheaper in a nicer area , (I have stayed in 3 star hotels here that give just as good a service and rooms are equally as nice) I could not fault the rooms or the service, it is Modern /Contemporary . Restaurants good but you can eat better and Cheaper in the restaurants around Town. Clothes are cheaper than Europe you can get some good deals on Designer makes You can walk from here to shops etc but it is a bit too far...

"I will return and I will be millions."
Advantages: a fabulous district to visit
Disadvantages: all tourists agree
...Buenos Aires is a chic cosmopolitan city that bristles with sensual elegance - a place of smoke-filled tango halls, wide leafy boulevards and street art of a myriad of genres. The city is divided into districts, or barrios, each with an individual style and character. One of the most popular barrios for visitors is exclusive Recoleta, a thoroughly well-heeled area which fronts onto the Rio Plata.
Porteños, the residents of Buenos Aires, seem to have three great passions in life - tango, football and Evita, and it is in this district, in the vast Recoleta Cemetery, that the remains of Eva Peron found their final resting place. For many people Evita is the only reason to visit Recoleta, for some the only reason to visit Buenos Aries. The popularity of this remarkable lady, still intense a half century after her death, has made...

Not really fit for an emperor
Advantages: Great position, huge rooms and bathroom
Disadvantages: Little storage in bedrooms and food and drink VERY expensive
...The hotel is on the Avenida del Libertador in the Recoleta district of Buenos Aires and is situated within walking distance of most areas in Buenos Aires and is close to the main railway station. The entrance is modern looking with gold revolving doors and there is at least one doorman at all times to welcome you in. The lobby is quite spacious and very well appointed, there are flower arrangements on tables which are fresh and look welcoming. The reception desk is on the left as you walk in to the hotel and they will also change money at a reasonable rate here. On the right hand side is an open looking bar with comfortable seats and tables. At the back of the hotel, through the lobby is the restaurant which is actually quite small for the size of hotel. This is where we had our breakfasts but we did not eat in the hotel other than...

Very Bueno Choccie!
Advantages: Yummy
Disadvantages: Yummy, I want MORE!
...I?ve read a few ops on these lately and I have to say, being the advertiser?s dream (according to my parents) it's been a bit of a temptation to buy one, even though I can proudly say I?m not a chocaholic. A few days ago I was in Woolworths and the sweet things and chocolates were just crying out to me. Truth be told I didn?t know what to try next, all in the name of Ciao research of course!
Kinder Bueno won. It?s 40 pence for a pack of 2 chocolate sticks of yumminess. They are about the same size as a Twix packet. The wrapper is white and orange with a picture of the product on the right hand side, with a wooden bowl full of milk and a shelled hazelnut to show you what it contains!
The wrapper is easy to tear (it has a ?tear here? sign but did I see that at the time? Err no!). Inside the wrapper the two milk chocolate...

Kinder Bueno
Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: Not Good For People On Diets Or Allergic To Nuts
...KinderBueno packaging is white with a bit of orange a long the bottom and a picture of a full bueno and half eaten one with a glass of milk next to them. Wrote on the top is 'kinder' Wrote in orange with a black K and bueno wrote in chocolate brown. mmm.
The smell is a bit nutty, chocolatey and milky....lush.
The chocolate on the bueno is like the kinda egg chocolate with dark chocolate zig zag lines over the little bars. Inside is a creamy hazelnut this tastes a little milky. Gorgeous.
While opening the packet you can see that the two fingers are individualy wrapped in clear wrapping.
Not suitable for people with nut allergies
The ingrediants:
milk chocolate 31.5% (sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, skimmed milk powder, soy lecithin, vanillin) sugar, vegetable oil, wheat flour, hazelnuts (10.8%) skimmed milk powder, whole...
