...buffalo springfield is the debut album from the rock and roll hall of famers, featuring folk rock giants stephen stills and neil young. this album features an ecletic mix of 12 tracks including the famous 'for what its worth'. the rest of the songs are perhaps not as instantly recognisable but in general the quality of the songs is very good. there is a good mix between laid back folk-rock such as 'hot dusty roads', 'out of my mind' and 'do i have to come right out and say it' to the frenetic blues of 'leave' and everything in between. lyrically this album is very good as all the songs are either stills or young originals and the musicianship is very solid if not groundbreaking. stephen stills exerts the most influence on this album, taking lead vocals or lead guitar on the majority of tracks. Neil young only has a couple of songs...

...My girlfriend works in a florist’s and I regularly get roped in to help out with the deliveries whenever I’m available. The van they have for the task is a red, T registration Vauxhall Combo van. So because of my experience I have decided to write an opinion on it, and also I haven’t written one on a car for a while. The cab is based on the ever-popular Corsa that unfortunately is immediately apparent as soon as you see them. As with many small vans on the market at the moment the van looks like it has had a square metal box bolted onto the back of it, much like the Fiesta based Courier. The Combo is powered by the 1.9 Vauxhall diesel engine, although some of the earlier models may have the Isuzu power plant under the bonnet. Buffalo Billy Comes To Town

Advantages: Great acting, nice little storyline, interesting direction

...The Background About a month back I spotted an amazing deal on sendit.com, 5 DVDs for £15. You can't beat that, I thought, and proceeded to view the available titles in this promotion. Much to my surprise there were a few good ones up there, so I picked 3 that I had seen/wanted to see, and 2 "fillers" that I hadn't actually heard of before, "The Negotiator" and "Buffalo '66". Little did I know what a good find this last one would be. The Review Buffalo '66 is a film from 1998 which is directed by, acted in and score composed by, Vincent Gallo. It has received a nice 7.3/10 from www.imdb.com, one of the higher possible scores, and also stars Christina Ricci and Anjelica Huston, along with a small role for Mickey Rourke. Combo Whizz

Advantages: Very versatile, easy to use, space saving
Disadvantages: not the best playback quality I've seen

...old video tape, and it was also very easy to label each newly recorded session on the DVD. The newly recorded DVD can be played back straight away to check that all is OK and any mistakes are easily deleted - I was using standard DVD -R disks so the deleted recordings still take up space on the DVD even though they will not be played back, to properly delete recordings and utilise the space freed up I would have to use DVD-RW disks. To make my new DVD playable on other players (including my PC) the DVD had to be finalised, this is a simple menu option which does not take very long but completes the dubbing process. I have to say that I am very pleased with my new combo VCR/DVD - it does everything I wanted it to do and I thought that the price I paid for it was reasonable. It takes up less space than the two machines it replaced...

A big box of data outside of my PC

Advantages: fast, high capacity, looks good, reliable, easy to use
Disadvantages: it makes my other drives look bad

...There comes a time when you need to get an external hard drive, after all there is a limit to how many internal ones you can attach to a motherboard (varies, normally about 3). I personally use a lot of drive space, going into the terabytes, so every now and then I have to attach a new external HD. This time I bought this one, and I am quite happy with it. An important feature that the DriveStation fulfills is that it looks nice. Its more important than manufacturers often think, as first impressions are often lasting impressions - and the first impression I got from this was professional and ruthlessly efficient. The 500GB is generous considering it only cost me £100 or so, which is pretty damn good for external drives. 500GB will last me a good couple of months, then I reckon I will go and buy myself another of these beasts...
