We consist of my dad who is 42, my 17 year old brother, my 8 year old brother and myself (I am 20). So whilst on holiday in Rhodes we planned a day out to the waterpark in Falraki as it was recommended by Thomson and we were able to purchase our tickets through them to save us queuing too much at the park itself. Water and a Park... Kingsbury Water Park

Advantages: Cheap, a nice day out
Disadvantages: could probably be a bit boring for older kids

I'd never heard of it, so full of excitement me and Mark got the kids into the car and set off with a boot full of sarnies and crisps. Kingsbury Water Park is situated in Bodymoor Heath (just down the road from the Villa training ground). It covers 600 acres and inside all those acres lie 15 lakes. It was opened in 1975 and currently attracts more than 280,000 visitors a year. It was originally a series of sand and gravel pits but in the early 70's Warwickshire County Council decided to transform it into a Water Park. Royal Park Hotel, Elenite, Bulgaria

Advantages: The Aqua Park

...The nature in Elenite is really very,very beautiful. There is a big forest and great views. In the past Elenite was one of the best Holiday Villages in Bulgaria. I was in Royal Park Hotel, Elenite in the autumn of 2009 and I don't want to go there again. This is an enormous Hotel and the nature is hidden and lost behind the walls. Restaurant (cantine) and food There is no choice and the quality of the food is doubtful. Some of my colleagues had problems with the stomach. There are no more than two fresh salads. You must look for a clean plate. The tomatoes for example are not for salad. These are cheap tomatoes used for producing preserved food and puree. Rooms The rooms are not cosy at all. Skegness Water Leisure Park (Tents and Caravans)

Advantages: Lovely surroundings, excellent on-site facilities, polite and friendly staff
Disadvantages: A fair walk to Fantasy Island, silly push button showers, some uneven ground for tents

...Well, it was mid-september, and we decided we needed a break, so being first time campers (I'd been camping when I was younger, with my parents and brother and sisters, but that was nearly 25 years ago, and now I had my own family), and having got all the camping gear, (frame tent, cooking stove, air beds, sleeping bags, etc), we decided to go camping in Ingoldmells in Skegness, (or Skeggy to most of us in Yorkshire!) Improvements in Aquapolis water park

Advantages: Really great fun!
Disadvantages: Poor food quality :(

...This year I`ve spent my holidays in Cap Salou and the greatest highlight of it,believe it or not,was Aquapolis aqua park! It has got some new great slides.The first one I`ve tried was the most daring one I would say.It`s called SPLASH!You get up about 30ft high and sit on the sledge.Then they release you and you slide all the way down really steap untill you hit the water and keep sledghing on top of water sometimes bouncing like the stone that has been skipped.I had to do that again and again! Not sure if the black hole was there last year.It`s really good.I screamed my heart out.You just sit with another person on a double ring and then they push you into black hole.You can`t see much just feel the speed and some little flashing lights on the hardest bends.it`s where i started screaming. For the ones who want just to relax...

Hotel Hawaii & Nessabur, Bulgaria

Advantages: Cheap, handy, pleasent and affordable.

...Just returned from a holiday in Nessabur, Bulgaria, staying at the Hotel Hawaii in a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel building from the outside looked like any other block from communist days BUT our room on the 13th floor was lovely, a little basic but very spacious and looked like it had only just been upgraded. Our fridge was missing and so were chairs to sit on! A request at the reception saw a couple of chairs and a fridge delivered. The room was kept spotlessly clean, swept and floor washed every day, new towels at least twice a week, linen also changed. The power shower in its own cubicle with loads of hot water was a first! The breakfast was one of the best we have had for many years. Hot and cold buffet, tea, coffee, fruit. Admittably if you arrived at the last knockings say 9.50 when they stopped serving at 10am they...

Bulgaria - Sooner rather than Later

...and the sea which was always remarkably blue and twinkly. This hotel has a spa centre,indoor and outdoor pools,shops,hairdresser, 2 restaurants a cafe and a pool bar as well as children's clubs and facilities.There was plenty of outdoor seating and loungers , a small park and it was only a few hundred yards to the beach. Everything was very clean and the staff were obliging and polite. The food was buffet style but very good and the cakes were absolutely delicious. One criticism would be the coffee which was simply awful and best avoided . We found this to be true elsewhere in Bulgaria as well. If you wanted to join in there were plenty of activities both during the day and at night and the young, lively team of entertainers kept most people happy. It was, however along walk down to old Nessebar and the taxis were quite expensive...

It is on Blackpool?s promenade right next to South Pier and those familiar with the climate in the North of England will be glad to know that the attraction is indoors. The kids were desperate to visit this park after we read about it online before visiting Blackpool so we headed there on a wet day. I was shocked at the admission charges, an adult pays £14.20 for admission to the pool and to ride all of the chutes with a child ticket costing £11.85. You are free to stay in the waterpark all day once you have paid but I would also have liked to have the option of paying less for a two hour visit.
