...We stayed here in January/February 2007. This is the secind time we stayed here. The first time was about 4 years ago when we booked as part of a package through Airtours. This time we booked the flights and accomadation independently and saved a lot of money. Our flights were on scheduled aircraft. London Heathrow to Gran Canaria via Madrid with Iberia. The return with Iberia to Madrid and British Airways to Heathrow. There are a choice of 1 bed bungalows(which we booked last time) and 2 bed bungalows, which we had this time. The bungalow was roomy. The lounge had double glazed double doors onto the patio which was huge, it covered two sides of the property. Review of Santa Clara Bungalows, Grand Canary

Lovely bungalows

Advantages: Lovely decor, good position
Disadvantages: No Pool bar or entertainment. Breakage deposit 150 euros

...Went to these bungalows in Puerto del Carmen in May 2006. They were recommended but have now been refurbished and it is possibly the nicest small complex in the resort. The decor is superb, I can understand the deposit of 150 euros, it would be a great pity to spoil these beautiful rooms. The deposit is not necessarily required in cash, a credit card receipt can be made out and then destroyed when you check out as long as all is OK. The position is great, on the sea front near to the Casino, on the sea side of the road. This means that most of the rooms face the sea with a short path down to the rocky shore. The patios have a wind-out awning and are very private, a wonderfully peaceful place to sit with a drink at the end of the day. The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished, and there is a small open-air laundry area...

Modern Warfare 2 - Fun but not Fantastic

Advantages: intriguing gameplay, flawless sound/graphics, rolling storyline
Disadvantages: anti-climax, little repetitive, nothing really new to catch onto

...The hype was wild for Halo 3, it continued for the anticipations of Halo Wars and many were disappointed. Hype was given for Gears of War and that continued for Gears of War 2 and many were disappointed. Likewise Call of Duty was bound to reach a similar anti-climax and so far it has. The overall conclusion is that is fun but not fantastic. However it is important to note that unless you are the stereotypical gamer who has his own gaming chair complete with a surrounding of cookies, crisps, full fat cola, a headset and the limited edition of Halo 3's Spartan mask, likiness is you won't find the game at all a let down. Afterall Infinity Ward are possibly the only people to construct a war-time gaming experience that steers well clear of clichés which removes the unbelievable characters who would look more in place in a Marvel Comic strip...

Advantages: Compared to the first modern warfare they have added driving in the story and its more detailed.
Disadvantages: To be honest, besides a few environmental graphics, it looks to be the shooter of the decade.

...Call of Duty Modern warfare 2 looks amazing if you?re a halo freak you will fall in love with this first person shooter. It's very detailed. They even switched the map to the screen on your gun unlike any game I have seen before. As far as if you just want to buy the game, and not go online to play, the story line features are so much better. You can even drive on this epic 1st person shooter. The disadvantages to this game as far as I can see are only a few visual slumps like every once in awhile a car will not look as realistic but everything else is wonderful. If you?re looking for a gift for a gamer or just want to try an epic 1st person shooter then this is the game for you....

Land Rover Discovery 2.5TDi 2003

Advantages: Built like a brick **** house

...I have owned a Discovery 2.5TDi from new since 2003 and consider now that I have enough experience to comment fairly on it. Good points 1. Excellent work horse. Can tow all day without noticing the load 2. Very comfortable and excellent seat movement 3. Makes you feel safe and secure Bad points 1. Very poorly designed dashboard layout. Most displays hidden by the steering wheel 2. Very badly positioned switches for electronic seat controls. You have to have needle thin hands and be a contortionist to use them 3. Poor electrics (especially the sun roof which has a mind of its own). and the worlds worst SAT Nav. You can buy a top of the range Garmin for less than the disc upgrade. COD: Modern Warfare 2, Could it get ANY better! Seriously!!

Advantages: Epic single player, Amazing Multiplayer and has great Replay Value

...Where to Begin?? The sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The game follows on from the first and I've got to be honest with you, I LOVE THIS GAME! I'm more of a multiplayer kind of guy racking up over 10 days of online play on the first but I resisted all of my temptations and played the single player, now the best campaigns i've played range from Halo 3 to Gears of War 2, but top of my list now Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The story line can only be described as EPIC! Once i started i found it hard to stop and after completing it i was craving for more. If they made it into a film it would be an all time great. Call of Duty modern warfare 2 Worth it???

Advantages: Brilliant graphics, very good onine multiplayer, nice features added which orignal did not have.
Disadvantages: quite a complex storyline

...The most eagerly anticipated game of the year, possibly even the decade. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is a first person shooter available on the most popular games consoles. Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. the game is rated 18 and for good reason. Many scenes throughout the campaign mode of the game I personaly found quite disturbing, however this would not put me off buying the game. one level in particular where you pose as a terrorist, and with your gang walk around an Airport shooting civillians. you do however get the choice to skip this level when you load up the game. I would not recomend that you buy this game for your child, or anyone under the 18 year age recommendation. Despite the few disturbing levels you cannot deny the incredible graphics and gameplay that Activision have managed to create in the amzaing game...

I practically have it with me when I'm travelling, working out and doing household chores. It's like a good company who make me feel relax while listening to my favourite music. SHUFFLE First iPod that has a USB dock included. The dock fits into the earphone jack of the iPod and ends in a USB cable. This ipod shuffle is very cute and tiny but were able to store more than 500 music. One of the strong features of shuffle 2nd generation is the battery life that last as long as 12 hours which is great.
