...I bought this kitchen hob as part of my new kitchen a few months ago and installation was a simple and pleasing process, as i would expect from perhaps all hobs. The central burner is extremely useful, especially for me as i come from an indian family we cook chappatis every day. Also it is useful for deep frying chips or whatever have you. The only downside to this however is the fact that when you do put something to cook on the central flame, this leaves the rest of the burners little room. It really can be a pain sometimes! Another downside to this product is the fact that unlike most hobs u may find, the knobs on the burners actually turn anticlockwise rather than clockwise. I dont use the hob much as im not the one who does most of the cooking, however, almost each time i do use i forget which way to turn it because i am so used... Read review

...I bought this hob in February 2007 and my kitchen fitter fitted it with no problems except he said the electric cable (for the electronic ignition) wasn't very long. It is very easy to use with the ignition being automatic when you turn the knobs. The gas flame is very controllable, from a minium size flame to, what seems, a very powerful flame. There are two medium size gas burners, a small one, a large one and a wok burner. I tend to use the small and medium burners the most. Even for a large frying pan the medium burner is fine. The wok burner is excellent. The cast iron pan stands are very solid and hard wearing gives the hob an impressive look. All parts come off quickly and it is very easy to keep clean. The only slight critisim is, if you look closely at the hob, the metal does look slightly tinny and it would scratch... Read review

Advantages: Low cost
Disadvantages: Dodgy menus, very disk fussy, lousy DVD burner that will fail.

...Dodgy menus that jump back to the previous screen, a very temperamental DVD burner that gives up after about 100 uses. The unit records well to hard disk, with good quality. Editing is a bit hit and miss, with no real fine control. No way of making recordings exactly fit the disk. My biggest gripe is the DVD burner, which really isn't up to it. It's extremely fussy over media type and if it doesn't like a blank disk, it seems to have the nice touch of rendering it unusable. Eventually the DVD burner in mine gave up all together after ruining 14 disks. Upgrading the firmware doesn't solve the problem. I eventually replaced the DVD burner in mine with a Liteon 20X unit for about £16. This solved the problem, and for the moment, it's been working perfectly. Fitting a replacement burner is straightforward enough, though getting it to neatly... Read review

...I've had this external dvd burner for about a week now and i have to say it was money well spent. It can record on pretty much every type of disc out there, at a really high speed: CD-R (48X) CD-RW (32X) CD-ROM (48X) DVD+/-R (18X) DVD+/-RW (8X) DVD+/-DL (10X) DVD-RAM (12X) DVD-ROM (16X) It connects to the computer using either high speed USB or Firewire (although you don't get a firewire with the burner). I've been using it with USB as I haven't got round to buying a firewire yet. It is really easy to install. All you need to do is plug it into your computer switch it on and wait a minute or two for the driver to be installed and it's ready to use straight away. ...I was helping my friend by removing the pan of veg from her gas hob. I saw she had an Electrolux hob similar to mine. I like Electrolux products. Electrolux have been making products for the house since 1919 they make fridges freezers cookers vacuum cleaners most kitchen electrical equipment. Now I like to cook with a gas hob I find the heat easier to control. ...We needed a new cooker and decided that we would like to have a duel fuel one. After looking around we found this cooker on the Currys website. The cooker has a medium sized oven and a smaller top oven which is also used as the grill. The fan main oven is very good and quiet in use. The top oven/grill has an air cooling system which keeps the knobs of the hob cool during use. This keeps running for a few moments after use until it has cooled down enough. The gas hob has one large burner, two medium and one small burner. All work very well, although the small burner is very small! The hob is easy to keep clean. There is a push button ignition. The oven doors have easily removed glass panels for cleaning and all of the oven is wipe clean. The only difference between this cooker and ones costing more is the lack of timer... Read review
