...I've often looked at Burt's Bees products and thought they must be good with all their natural ingredients, so I recently made my first purchase from them - a Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil, which cost me a measly £3.49 from Boots. The lip balm comes in the usual stick form with a twist-up action like a lipstick. The tube is yellow and it has a pink pull-off lid. The stick contains 0.15oz, or 4.25g, of product, which is pretty much average for a lip balm. Burt's Bees say that this replenishing and hydrating natural lip balm is infused with the antioxidant goodness of pomegranate oil. It replenishes moisture to reveal smooth, healthy lips, while it coats them for an even-toned appearance. The balm is quite solid and waxy but when it's applied to the lips it goes on smoothly and feels pleasantly smooth...

Advantages: made from recyled material, not tested on animals, smell is quite nice
Disadvantages: Leaves a greasy feeling on my skin, takes quite a long time to absorb

...Recently I was given a Burt's Bees gift bag with lots of Burt's Bees miniatures in it. One of these was the 'Carrot Nutritive Body Lotion'. The bottle I got was a 29.5ml size, but it is also available to buy in a full sized bottle which holds 236ml and costs around £13. Burt's Bees products are quite easy to get a hold of, with a lot of shops selling them. They are also widely available online. The miniature bottle looks exactly the same as the full sized bottle, just a lot smaller! The bottle is made of yellow plastic and has a white plastic screw top lid. It has pictures of carrots on the label along with the name of the product in nice, clear, red font. Burt Reynolds Face Couldn't Get Any Tighter!

Advantages: Good story line
Disadvantages: Burt Reynolds

...set of breathing apparatus being blown off an exploding boat along with our two lead characters. How else would they survive so early on in the film though??? I can overlook this kind of thing though and it really doesn't spoil any enthusiasm I have for the plot. The one star lost for me though had to be the appearance of the awful Burt Reynolds. His character had a small part, albeit useful in General Montgomery but he just looks like a freak now. His skin has been face lifted to the max and instead of coming across as a credible highly responsible member of the hierarchy, he comes across as a cartoon character and I found, due to his looks alone, I could not believe in him as a character. They would have been better off with someone like Robert Redford. At the end of the day this was a very enjoyable film and one that I could easily watch...

...Aloof, rude, obnoxious and not in the slightest bit fulfilling what the purport to be the staff at Donald and Attchinson are disgusting not only because they treat their customers with a marked contempt but also because they seen to believe that they belong to the classier end of the Opticians market, I think not, doesn't Burt Reynolds failed actor from the 70's "do" their advertisements? I am certain he does, although i can understand how I could forget considering how unmemorable and self-effacing they were. D&A quite blatantly believe that they should attract a better clientele that most other Opticians, why this form of elitist snobbery has come about is beyond me, but one thing is for certain in order to fulfil their own self created prophecy they must push prices to extortionate levels, not as bad as Boots Opticians mind you...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead

Advantages: mostly natural, soothes minor injuries quickly

...Had I written this review this time last week, I would have been a lot more negative about this product, but after an unfortunate incident involving a door handle (read on!) my opinion of this product has completely changed. I got a travel sized pot of Burt's Bees Res-Q ointment in their outdoor remedy kit a couple of months back, it is probably not a product I would ever have chosen to buy individually. I think one of the main downsides of the product is working out what you are supposed to use it for!
