This is a wooden Plan Toys Wooden Bus. This bus is a single decker, white with a blue base panel and blue words saying Plan city bus. It has grey windows. There are no people heads in the windows
This bus measures 9.8 cm by 3 cm and 3.8 cm high/ 1.2 in x 3.9 in x 1.5 in high.

Advantages: Frankie Howerd, Margaret Rutherford Disadvantages: Poor quality DVD edition
...Well, what a shame, is all I can say! Okay I can say more...
The original of this film I saw years ago on TV, and it was pretty good, led by Frankie Howerd in one of (if not THE) earliest performances of his career (the film was released originally in 1954). I was keen to see the film based on his being in it, and becaus eit also has Margaret Rutherford, one of my favourite actresses in also.
The plot is essentially that frankie Howerd's charcter is a bus driver, and due to foggy condition, he must take a bus of air passengers via road from one airport to the next. the consequences are quite hilarious, although a few of the best scenes were unfortuately cut from the DVD version. Another note regarding the difference between the original and the DVD version is the quality of the film, which to be honest is not grat on the DVD. I...
Advantages: great fun Disadvantages: avoid 3pm to 5pm
...the island doesn't have?well to be honest it did have one line (about 14 miles long) from Bridgetown to the Atlantic coast at Bathsheba, opened in the 1880's, but closed in the 1930's.So the principal options were car hire, taxi, or bus.
We decided against hiring a car on this occasion.
Taxi's were amongst our reps transport 'OK's' but with the proviso that the price must be determined with the driver before the journey commenced. Taxis in Barbados frankly were not cheap despite government determined fare schedules. Taxis did not have meters fitted, and it was normal for drivers to charge premiums over and above the fare schedule rates. Bridgetown by taxi worked out to at least £10(B$40) each way. Maybe we're not very good at bargaining!
Finally the bus option. At the outset it should be said that all buses (of whatever colour...

Review of 'Reggae Bus'
Advantages: A fantastic way of interacting with your baby or toddler Disadvantages: You have that song in your head for hours!!
... THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO ROUND AND ROUND
Illustrated by Annie Kubler
Go on,admit it - the song is now going over and over in your head!!
I bet that you're singing it now, are the windscreen wipers going swish, swish, swish yet?
This song is probably the most loved pre-school song around - sung at pre-schools, Mums and Todds groups, nurseries and infant schools alike and most definatly at home. It has been featured in lots of Children's TV programmes including the Tweenies and is a sheer classic in the world of niursery rhymes.
This book is suitable from tiny babies upwards.
It is an ideal book to start your reading experience with your baby and one that you will be able to continue through the next few years.
THE BOOK
This is an extremely simple little book and yet so good...
Advantages: Lots to do and learn from the bus Disadvantages: Voices are annoying
...My Mother in Law started hassling me to know what to buy Murray for Christmas and I had no idea. So I started looking about and came across the IQ Builders Playtime Bus. I found it in Argos for £14.99 but it is now available for £14.50. But when My Mother in Law went to buy it was only £11 in their sale at the time, so watch out for offers like that. I have also seen them for sale in Tesco and Toys R Us.
So what is this bus? It is fairly large at 33cm long and 13cm high. It is shaped like a red, single Decker bus. On one side is just pictures of people sitting at the windows on the bus with the diver at the front. The front of the bus Has the Playtime Bus on the top and has a picture of the driver driving the bus with a passenger. The top of the bus has 2 slide along switches. One is Orange and is the on/off switch...
Advantages: Another gore feast from Laymon Disadvantages: Too many sex scenes
...Pamela has been kidnapped by a psycho who's lusted after since her days of high school. In the desert she manages to injure and escape from Rodney the psycho, but she decides to go back and get the car keys off what she thinks is a dead body...
Although Rodney isn't dead he soon will be when the mysterious Sharpe turns up and saves her. Pamela then awakes on a bus where the driver will not speak to her "while the bus is in motion - it's against company policy!" Pamela soon discovers the bus is full of mannequins and she's the only live passenger...
I've read a lot of Laymon books and have mostly enjoyed them, having read so many of his books I was a little disappointed by this one where I find that he has "oversexed" the book unnecessarily in my opinion. That aside it's still an enjoyable read if you like Laymon....
Advantages: Fun, Jolly and Sturdy Disadvantages: Somewhat repetitive
...For all of you who would love to make a full-time living from writing, I wonder if you've ever considered writing children's books? Toddlers' books are mind-bogglingly simple, with some of them consisting of just 4-5 sentences. How hard can it be to write a kids' book?! Take this little gem, for example - I'm sure you all know the kiddies' song "The Wheels on the Bus go Round and Round", well this book consists of 8 double pages and contains no words but the lyrics to the song. How hard can that have been to write?!
Admittedly, some thought has gone into the production, so the design must have taken at least a few hours! The book is very jolly, utilising primary colours with busy drawings. It's square and chunky, and non-tearable, which is very important for books aged at this range (2-3 years), as ripping is infinitely more fun...
Advantages: Cheap Easy to use and friendly Disadvantages: Not very comfy bus
...Magical Memories with Magic Bus
New Zealand is an amazing country but with so much to see and do it is hard to fit it all into 6 weeks, thankfully I discovered The Magic Bus!
What is the Magic Bus?
The Magic Bus offers affordable 'Hop on Hop off' bus tickets valid for up to 12 months, the passes cover different areas of New Zealand so depending upon your length of stay you can chose the one that's best for you.
Passes:
Some passes cover both islands and some cover just the north or just the south, I opted for the Wayward Wanderer Pass that covers the two islands.
I purchased my pass online before I left the UK but you can also purchase your pass when you arrive, if you book online you do get a discount, my pass cost me $645 NZ which is £240. Magic Bus often have offers like buy one get one free as well so it is...
...Australia is a very vast country to travel around and there are various options available to backpackers;
For those on a short trip with money to burn then internal flights are a good option, if you are travelling in a group then a car or campervan is a great option or if you are alone and have a long trip the hop on hop off buses a great way to get around.
I opted for the last option and decided to travel by bus! I had two options Greyhound or Premier Bus.
I was originally going to buy a Greyhound pass as I had heard a lot about them and new them to be good but when I got into the travel agents they told be all about Premier Bus.
I was informed that the service is just as good as Greyhound just with slightly fewer buses per day and that the price was cheaper, well it sounded like a good deal so I went for it!
Sadly...
Advantages: Very enjoyable and easy read Disadvantages: It finished!
...I came across The Lilac Bus quite by accident in a charity shop. I had read books by Maeve Binchy before and remembered quite enjoying them (although I hadn't read anything of hers recently) and this book was in good condition and the name of it intrigued me. I read the spiel on the back and thought I wasn't going to be disappointed paying out £0.30 in a charity shop for a book by an author that I already knew and respected.
PLOT/CHARACTERS
