Who'd a thought I'd go for Bush?

Look At My Bush!

Advantages: Great price, clear screen, good sound
Disadvantages: A brand with not a great reputation or public knowledge

Pleasantly Surprised by a Bush

Advantages: Good picture & sound, easy to use controls.
Disadvantages: Takes a few seconds to "warm-up".

Advantages: 'Wuthering Heights' and 'Babooshka' are classics

...Perhaps at this time of year a little nostalgia can ease those tired parts of the body which have been slightly abused over the festive period. The ears in particular may have taken a severe pounding from your nephew or neice's latest CD. let me guide you calmly back to a time when music was......................well music. I have always been a fan of Kate Bush and when I was given this album ( The Whole Story ) as a Christmas present I was very pleased indeed. It's a trip into the mind of one of the most popular songwriter's/performers of our time. You will have over the last decade or so heard many of the tracks many times, but this does not deter from their quality in fact it simply endorses it. This is an Album that I shall be listening to for many hours during the long cold winter nights and it shall as Kate has always done...

Bush Hall Hotel

Advantages: Beautiful, well priced

...Bush Hall is situated just off of the A1 in Hatfield. It is old an old hotel and is said that it used to be Henry Eighth's Hunting Lodge. As you can imagine the building is full of character. There are newer parts of the hotel that have been added on at a later date to create rooms for fuctions / weddings etc. I shall describe in greater detail each part of the hotel. The approach to the hotel is via a log windy drive ay. The first thing you see is a foutain which is lit up at night. You see the old buildig in all its glory iwith beautiful blossomig ad trailing flowers growing up the side. You walk into the hotel and find that the whole buildig is in keeping with its era. Immediately there is a reception and following on from this is the dining room and a large bar area. The dining room is well done out with beautifully...

Hounds of Love - Kate Bush

Advantages: Almost perfect album, improved seperation of sounds in remastered form.
Disadvantages: One or two slightly weaker tracks.

...I'm not a hugely rabid Kate Bush fan. I've pretty much liked all her singles over the years but having tried most of her albums I can't say that I really thought much of most of the tracks presented on them. However, Hounds of Love is something else. After an initially busy period, Kate Bush has been somewhat sporadic in her output although I'd saying raising a family is a fair reason so all kudos to her for doing the right thing. Hounds of Love did pop out a bit later than most people expected but when it did it showed a radical departure from her previous work and presented an interesting fusion of Fairlight samples, Irish rythyms and all manner of odd sounds and structures. I bought the original when it first came out on CD, it was one of the very first CDs available and as I gingerly dropped it in to my top loading Phillips...

A cheap, cheerful and idiot proof hi-fi

Disadvantages: none unless you like more complex systems
