DVD HEAVEN - THE BUSH 2023

...WOW WOW WOW. That?s about all I can say about the Bush DVD 2023 ?the digital versatile disc player?. I thought the other day, ClairesCult can vouch for this, that I needed a DVD player. I needed one so bad that I had to go and buy the first one I saw. But as, I am under the thumb, the wife suggested I looked around. So I did. I first went to the ?power house? on the team valley trading estate in Gateshead. They were selling a Bush DVD for £89. It was gorgeous. Chrome all around it, so much so you could see you face in it. Bush DVD player

Advantages: good quality picture, only cost me £20
Disadvantages: small screen, only fills middle part of screen

...I bought this DVD player around 1 year ago now and it is still in perfect working condition. It produces a good quality picture and has many buttons on the control to fiddle around with but we will come to those later. Well firstly lets start on the screen/picture size as i believe this to be the only downfall of the dvd player. What can i say, it leaves a good 2 inches off at the top of the screen and a good 2 inches below so, lets just say it dont fit the screen size. You can zoom into the picture but when doing this you cut of part of the film, which i believe is rather annoying. But the bigger the t.v screen you have the larger the picture on the t.v. So if you have a small television i reccomend that you do not but this dvd player as the picture size would just make it a waste of money. Next lets talk a little about...

Bush DVD2051 with Divx - Bargain!

Advantages: Divx Playback, Plays DVD-r discs, very cheap, attractive

...After my previous DVD player packed in I set out for a cheap replacement with my requirements being that it played divx files and dvd-r discs! (oh and that it looked nice too). After trawling the internet for a couple of hours the BUSH DVD2051 caught my eye at a bargain price in Argos of just £29.99!! I quickly snapped it up and I couldn't be more pleased!! It plays all DVD's flawlessly to a high standard including DVD's with just DIVX or XVID files on them, meaning I can fit up to 6 DVD's onto one disc after converting them. The supplied remote control is also a bonus because you sometimes get cheap ones thrown in with the cheaper players but this one is up to scratch and of a high quality. Pleasantly Surprised by a Bush

Advantages: Good picture & sound, easy to use controls.
Disadvantages: Takes a few seconds to "warm-up".

...The Bush DVD2002 DVD player is cheap. Good Menu Features. Easy hack for multi-region. [ power on / open tray / type 330880 into remote / rx briefly appears at the bottom left of screen / press play - the last digit in the code is the region number with 0 being no region ] . The 5.1 decoder is actually quite good quality. Doesn't handle fast action without spilling colour (for example watch the pod race in Starwars phantom menace). It also does not handle large amounts of the colour red in scenes without producing a sort of strobing effect. I could not manage to get it to play MP3's. And the power supply in it went up in smoke after a couple of months. On a more technical note: the player is composed of a metal casing and is class 1 equipment. This means it should have its chassis bonded to Earth through the yellow/green wire...

Bush 2009 sending budget DVD into a new era

...Budget Bush does it again! Bush has a good record when it comes to their budget DVD players, and this model is no exception. The Bush 2009 is a good all round player. The players has good sound performance and brilliant pictures quality which could be expected to only feature on more expensive models. The machine is easy to use and has a well-designed, user-friendly remote control. The player has a good range of sockets which include optical output, s-video outputs and the regular scart socket. All this for the small price of £170, what a bargain!...

Bush 2002 DVD player £179

Advantages: Good value, good looking, easy multi-region hack
Disadvantages: Perhaps not so many features as a high price model

...I paid £179 for my Bush DVD 2002 and I've had it for about three months. I found the instructions incredibly confusing thanks to different set-ups for surround sound TV and stereo. But if you have a scart socket on your TV (you probably do) then you don't need the instructions. The player itself is suprisingly big but as with all new technology they'll most likley be half as big by the end of the year. Still, the remote control is extreemley easy to use and has all the buttons you'll ever need without being confusing. I'd say for a budget model this is one of the best deals around, and if you're interested (as I was) in playing american discs as well, the hack is really simple and is done via the remote control....

Look At My Bush!

Advantages: Great price, clear screen, good sound
Disadvantages: A brand with not a great reputation or public knowledge
