Bush 2009 sending budget DVD into a new era
Review of Bush DVD 2002 by
cascade
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: You cant complain at this price!
...Budget Bush does it again! Bush has a good record when it comes to their budget DVD players, and this model is no exception. The Bush 2009 is a good all round player. The players has good sound performance and brilliant pictures quality which could be expected to only feature on more expensive models. The machine is easy to use and has a well-designed, user-friendly remote control. The player has a good range of sockets which include optical output, s-video outputs and the regular scart socket. All this for the small price of £170, what a bargain!...

Cheap and Cheerful
Review of Bush DVD 2000 by
jr44
Advantages: cheap, user friendly
Disadvantages: silver colour may put some off
...The Bush DVD player was a gift of mine to my father, who was delighted at the prospect of owning one. I must admitt that I was also rather impressed as we took it out of the packaging. A real beauty! The smooth lines and futuristic design gives the impression of a very expensive piece of kit, but the £140 I paid was far from expensive. The RRP is usually £180, but with a bit of pursuasion towards the nice people at Richer Sounds, the price was soon agreed.
As for general operation, we have no complaints. Simply plug the Bush in, connect the scart lead and throw in a disk. The remote control is also easy to understand so almost no manual reference required.
The DVD player is multi region (although I think this is a little overhyped as all the DVD's we own or are likely to own are on the one region), has all the usual gadgetry (freeze...

Bush DVD2051 with Divx - Bargain!
Review of Bush DVD 2051 by
cambria83
Advantages: Divx Playback, Plays DVD-r discs, very cheap, attractive
Disadvantages: None
...After my previous DVD player packed in I set out for a cheap replacement with my requirements being that it played divx files and dvd-r discs! (oh and that it looked nice too).
After trawling the internet for a couple of hours the BUSH DVD2051 caught my eye at a bargain price in Argos of just £29.99!! I quickly snapped it up and I couldn't be more pleased!!
It plays all DVD's flawlessly to a high standard including DVD's with just DIVX or XVID files on them, meaning I can fit up to 6 DVD's onto one disc after converting them.
The supplied remote control is also a bonus because you sometimes get cheap ones thrown in with the cheaper players but this one is up to scratch and of a high quality.
The added bonus of this DVD player is that it looks very attractive too.
So if you're after a cheap DVD player then I'd definitely recommend...

Bush 2002 DVD player £179
Review of Bush DVD 2002 by
Benatwork
Advantages: Good value, good looking, easy multi-region hack
Disadvantages: Perhaps not so many features as a high price model
...I paid £179 for my Bush DVD 2002 and I've had it for about three months. I found the instructions incredibly confusing thanks to different set-ups for surround sound TV and stereo. But if you have a scart socket on your TV (you probably do) then you don't need the instructions. The player itself is suprisingly big but as with all new technology they'll most likley be half as big by the end of the year. Still, the remote control is extreemley easy to use and has all the buttons you'll ever need without being confusing. I'd say for a budget model this is one of the best deals around, and if you're interested (as I was) in playing american discs as well, the hack is really simple and is done via the remote control....

Bush 28inch Widescreen
Review of Bush 6693D by
Montandon
Advantages: User Friendly - Built in Freeview tuner
Disadvantages: Takes time to put into standby mode
...This is a very userfriendly, good quality TV.
With built in S-video port it also enables the user to easily link this television upto their TV out card on a PC. The TV also comes with a side phono socket, for ease of connection using portable devices or games consoles, allowing easy switching between devices, and the Freeview can be transmitted out through a scart cable to a video or DVD recorder enabling this to be recorded.
The one disadvantage of this TV is the time taken to go into standby mode. When turning into standby it automatically searches for updates from Bush. This usually takes around 2-3 minues, although if a connection cannot be reached, the Television stays with a blank screen and no sound, but produces an electrical buzzing noise while it waits for connection. This sometimes can go on for 24 hours and is very annoying....

Never gets bushed!
Review of Bush DVD 2023 by
lisaleahjack
Advantages: Cheap, unbreakable, looks great!
Disadvantages: are there any?
....This is by far the best value DVD player on the market!!
We already had a DVD player but mum in law decided to buy us one anyway and were we surprised!
Once out of the box it was as sleek as a panther, slimline and silver looking like it cost a hell of a lot more than th £59.99 that it was bought for. Measuring just 36cmW x 6cm H x 28cm L, it takes up virtually no space and has the space age look most of us are looking for!
Ive never had a very high opinion of Bush products but put it through its paces anyway and thought someone had muddled the nameup... was this not a Sony?
The picture quality is excellent with a function to swop widescreen movies to normal screen size.
As well as DVD's the 2023 will happily accomodate CD's, MP3's, CD-R's and CD-RW's with the same simplicity as it takes to read the DVD...just put in the disc...

DVD HEAVEN - THE BUSH 2023
Review of Bush DVD 2023 by
sonic1971
Advantages: EASY TO USE, JUST PLUG IN AND USE, cheap
Disadvantages: Cost of DVD films, the attached plug
...WOW WOW WOW. That’s about all I can say about the Bush DVD 2023 “the digital versatile disc player”.
I thought the other day, ClairesCult can vouch for this, that I needed a DVD player. I needed one so bad that I had to go and buy the first one I saw. But as, I am under the thumb, the wife suggested I looked around.
So I did. I first went to the “power house” on the team valley trading estate in Gateshead. They were selling a Bush DVD for £89. It was gorgeous. Chrome all around it, so much so you could see you face in it. I thought and I thought and decided I was going to buy it.
Until me and the wife (her indoors) were doing our weekly shop in the local co-op. I spotted, a Bush DVD, but for only £79. Whereas the first one was bulky, this was slim line. To my delight it was the DVD2023.
So I decided to buy it...

The science of things
Review of Bush - Bush by
l33te
Advantages: x
Disadvantages: x
...This album really disaointed me from Bush. I don't know what they or their record company were thinking at the time but to be truthfull it's crap.
Razorblade suitcase and Sixteen Stone both are top albums but The science of things really was a mystake and drags bush down, down, down.
Also, if anyone reading this thinks that Bush are trying to rip off Nirvana, think again. They rip off pearl Jam if anybody and that's ok. Bush are one of the only British Rock bands that have really made it in my eyes....

The dvd player with it all but very little cost
Review of Bush DVD 2023 by
Dani347
Advantages: Cheap, easy to use
Disadvantages: high piched noise when turned off
...I bought this DVD player about two months ago and have not looked back since. I paid only £59.99 for this piece of modern machinery and have not looked back.
When i bought the DVD player, I was slightly worried that it would take me ages to set it up and tune in the channels etc, but I couldn't have been more wrong.
All I had to do is plug it in, connect the scart lead to the back of the player and the other end to the TV and away you go. There was no need to tune a channel because of this scart lead, which is something new to me. As soon as you turn on the DVD player, it connects to the TV and displays the Bush screen saver or menu of the DVD you have put in to play.
With the silver casing, this DVD player is modern and fits in with most decor.
The remote and functions are easy to understand and use. You have all the standard...

Pleasantly Surprised by a Bush
Review of Bush DVD154TV by
luckyarchers
Advantages: Good picture & sound, easy to use controls.
Disadvantages: Takes a few seconds to "warm-up".
...I am a bit of a technophobe, but thought I would write about our TV DVD combi, in the only way I now how, simply. Hopefully it will help other non-technical people out there.
Our portable TV was having intermittent faults, and my family were complaining that it was so ancient that it didn’t even have a socket to plug in a free-view box. They also wanted a DVD player included in any new model that was bought.
Having a portable TV in good working order does reduce the amount of squabbles about what programmes to watch, so I decided to have a look around for the best value for money one for us.
I was strongly influenced by a TV DVD combi we had use of when we went on holiday, and after trying to find better value for money alternatives, I was drawn back to this model.
I have had one previous experience of owning a Bush TV...
