Bush 2009 sending budget DVD into a new era
Review of Bush DVD 2002 by cascade

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: You cant complain at this price!

...Budget Bush does it again! Bush has a good record when it comes to their budget DVD players, and this model is no exception. The Bush 2009 is a good all round player. The players has good sound performance and brilliant pictures quality which could be expected to only feature on more expensive models. The machine is easy to use and has a well-designed, user-friendly remote control. The player has a good range of sockets which include optical output, s-video outputs and the regular scart socket. All this for the small price of £170, what a bargain!... Read review

The science of things
Review of Bush - Bush by l33te

Advantages: x
Disadvantages: x

...This album really disaointed me from Bush. I don't know what they or their record company were thinking at the time but to be truthfull it's crap. Razorblade suitcase and Sixteen Stone both are top albums but The science of things really was a mystake and drags bush down, down, down. Also, if anyone reading this thinks that Bush are trying to rip off Nirvana, think again. They rip off pearl Jam if anybody and that's ok. Bush are one of the only British Rock bands that have really made it in my eyes.... Read review

Bush 28inch Widescreen
Review of Bush 6693D by Montandon

Advantages: User Friendly - Built in Freeview tuner
Disadvantages: Takes time to put into standby mode

...This is a very userfriendly, good quality TV. With built in S-video port it also enables the user to easily link this television upto their TV out card on a PC. The TV also comes with a side phono socket, for ease of connection using portable devices or games consoles, allowing easy switching between devices, and the Freeview can be transmitted out through a scart cable to a video or DVD recorder enabling this to be recorded. The one disadvantage of this TV is the time taken to go into standby mode. When turning into standby it automatically searches for updates from Bush. This usually takes around 2-3 minues, although if a connection cannot be reached, the Television stays with a blank screen and no sound, but produces an electrical buzzing noise while it waits for connection. This sometimes can go on for 24 hours and is very annoying.... Read review

Excellent 'no-frills' DVD Recorder
Review of Bush DVR 3006 by stuartrider

Advantages: Cheap, Simple to use and setup
Disadvantages: Size, Colour, Lacks certain features

...: It wouldn't have been a problem a year ago, but now I am starting to miss a few features like a USB port etc. * SLOW: It takes a few seconds for the machine to prepare the disc for recording, so it's no use if you need to to record 'instantly' - personally I never have a need for this but it's something to be aware of. Overall, a very good value-for-money purchase. It's cheap, easy to use, reliable and does the same job as many more expensive DVD Recorders. There's no photo included here, but if you want to know what it looks like, take a look at the Bush DVR3003 DVD Recorder as it is virtually identical.... Read review

Inaccessible but striking
Review of Dreaming, The - Kate Bush by dave27

Advantages: Pushing the boundaries
Disadvantages: Some misses

...The Dreaming, an experimental, courageous, though arguably over serious album, was Kate Bush’s follow up to Never For Ever in September 1982. Just under two years in the making, the album wa sproduced by Kate herself, a role she had been moving toward since Lionheart. Sat In Your Lap, inspired by a Stevie Wonder gig, and trailed as a single as early as July 1981, was indicative of what was to follow: complex lyrics; a deepening of Kate’s vocal timbre; a heavy use of polyphonic synthesisers, and an oppressive, almost claustrophobic production. The album, recorded in three separate studios, each carefully chosen not only for acoustic quality but for ambience and vibe, featured some unusual guest artists. Rolf Harris and animal impressionist Percy Edwards appeared on the title track, which delineated the plight of the Australian... Read review

Cheap and Cheerful
Review of Bush DVD 2000 by jr44

Advantages: cheap, user friendly
Disadvantages: silver colour may put some off

...The Bush DVD player was a gift of mine to my father, who was delighted at the prospect of owning one. I must admitt that I was also rather impressed as we took it out of the packaging. A real beauty! The smooth lines and futuristic design gives the impression of a very expensive piece of kit, but the £140 I paid was far from expensive. The RRP is usually £180, but with a bit of pursuasion towards the nice people at Richer Sounds, the price was soon agreed. As for general operation, we have no complaints. Simply plug the Bush in, connect the scart lead and throw in a disk. The remote control is also easy to understand so almost no manual reference required. The DVD player is multi region (although I think this is a little overhyped as all the DVD's we own or are likely to own are on the one region), has all the usual gadgetry (freeze... Read review

DVD HEAVEN - THE BUSH 2023
Review of Bush DVD 2023 by sonic1971

Advantages: EASY TO USE, JUST PLUG IN AND USE, cheap
Disadvantages: Cost of DVD films, the attached plug

...WOW WOW WOW. That’s about all I can say about the Bush DVD 2023 “the digital versatile disc player”. I thought the other day, ClairesCult can vouch for this, that I needed a DVD player. I needed one so bad that I had to go and buy the first one I saw. But as, I am under the thumb, the wife suggested I looked around. So I did. I first went to the “power house” on the team valley trading estate in Gateshead. They were selling a Bush DVD for £89. It was gorgeous. Chrome all around it, so much so you could see you face in it. I thought and I thought and decided I was going to buy it. Until me and the wife (her indoors) were doing our weekly shop in the local co-op. I spotted, a Bush DVD, but for only £79. Whereas the first one was bulky, this was slim line. To my delight it was the DVD2023. So I decided to buy it... Read review

I know they can do it so why dont they
Review of Razorblade Suitcase - Bush by crustypaul

Advantages: It's good
Disadvantages: but it could be so much better

...The lesson to be learnt from bush's Razorblade Suitcase album is that you should never let Steve Albini produce anything if you want to get it right. The man may be king of badly recorded hardcore but that does not really qualify him to produce a band like bush. I would not say that this album was a bad job as it has got some fairly huge tunes on it but in no way is it anywhere near the standard of the previous album, 16 stone. The track 'Swallowed' is a good song but once again we have the situation where the big single from an album just sticks out like a sore thumb. Bush should have stuck to just playing huge songs with a passion instead of trying to get too clever about it all which is what they seen to have done here.... Read review

And now it is available at only £69.99 on Hyperfi it is time to pick one hell of a bargain up. I will soon pick one up as I would like to transfer some of the stuff on my Bush Hard disk recorder to DVD.... Read review

dont beat around this bush
Review of Sixteen Stone - Bush by earningstuff

Advantages: refreshing modern rock
Disadvantages: too manufactured for some people????

...Gavin Rossdale is famous for two things. Dating Gwen Stefani from No Doubt and leading the first anbd best post-Nirvana British band to hit it big in America. What amazes me is that they still remain relatively unheard of in the UK. In fact it was only success in the American market that lead to a record deal in the UK! Not the way you'd expect for a British band really! Sixteen Stone is Bush's debut album and was released (State Side) in late 1993 by Interscope Records. It wasn't an instantaneous success for the band from Shepherds Bush and early criticism focused on their manufactured nature! For me they are far removed from a manufactured sound. At the time of sixteen stone's release I found it hard to describe Bush as on the UK music scene they were refreshingly different. The album couldn't get off to a better start with five...
