Bush WS6671 I'm Impressed
Advantages: Low, competitive price, Good design
Disadvantages: no major ones, parts of the instruciton manual could be better
...Understand this - I am technically inept. The prelude to the story is that my trusted, 15 year old television gave up the ghost on 27th December. As I left it at the tip with the others abandoned sets I had a lump in my throat. I also had the added stress of buying a new television which filled me with horror. Since my last foray into the world of TVs widescreen and digital have been introduced and I am none the wiser.
Even worse I live next door to a technophile, gadget mad, must have the latest model person a.k.a 'a man'. He's already had a 32 inch television which I hated. It was large, took over the room and squashed the picture. I dreaded the thought of having one of these contraptions in my house. He then bought a 28" television. Still not overly keen but it was an improvement. Faced with all this I resorted to easy...

BUSH 27" WIDESCREEN LCD TV
Advantages: nice flat screen, sharp clear picture
Disadvantages: can the cat knock it over? not hd ready?
...We had wanted a new television for a while but couldn't bring ourselves to spend a lot of money when there was nothing wrong with the old widescreen JCV television that we had. It was a 28 inch screen, but the depth of the television was huge and it was so heavy to carry.........
Shortly after moving in to our new house, my husband managed to drop this television, meaning that it no longer worked!! The look on my face was a picture when I heard the crash and went rushing into the living room to find a sheepish husband and a broken tv.
So now our hand was forced into buying a new tv! We duly put in an insurance claim and was offered £264 less £50 excess, so off to Comet and Currys we go, but we don't find anything that we like, so then its back home again and we search the internet.
We looked at Argos online and found this...

Bush LCD 32TV016
Advantages: Good picture quality
Disadvantages: None
...I'm not overly fussed with some of the technical aspects of televisions, I don't even understand most of it so I'll do my best not to bore anyone with these during my review. As long as I can plug in my dvd player, my sky box and my nintendo wii with no problems I'm a happy bunny.
I agree, Bush might not be a market leader when it comes to televisions (or anything for that matter) but this one looked nice. I bought this television almost two years ago to use as the main house tv. It sits proudly in the corner of my living room with the matching glass tv stand. Both were bought from Sainsburys. The TV itself was on sale and I managed to get it for under two-hundred pounds. Which is an absolute steal. The cheapest I can find it for at the moment is around the £300 mark.
The 32" inch screen gives a clear picture and considering, although...

Bush 32" Widescreen LCD TV
Advantages: extremely cheap, HDMI, excellent on DVD & Games, wall mount, lots of functions
Disadvantages: TV channels quality not as good as DVD/Game quality, low contrast ratio
...Bush Idlcd 32 TV 16 HD
Price £360
Features are listed at foot of review text
We bought this TV because our old 28 inch TV took up too much space. We wanted something that would look modern and wouldn't become the focal point of the living room. We love films and computer games and so we also wanted something that would make our movie nights more of an event.
We didn't think we could afford an LCD TV but we went shopping around for one nonetheless with an extremely tight budget. We looked at a few and thought we had found one we liked (a Samsung - apologies I have forgotten the model) until my fiance saw this this fellow. It was modern, it could be wall mounted, and if it was on a stand it didn't take up much room at all. Compared to other TVs in our budget it had 2 stand-out bonuses - 2 Scart sockets and even more...

You cannot beat a Bush
Advantages: Looks stylish, good remote
Disadvantages: Heavy to lift or move
...Model: RF6682VPL
I must be a big fan of Aldi! Last Christmas (2001) I bought our silver 28" widescreen and flatscreen television. It cost £399 in the 'Thursday Special Buys'. I had to queue outside the store to buy it, as it was popular. Now I know why......
~~~~~~COST~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I paid £399 for mine at Aldi.
This is very good value for money-especially for a flatscreen! The same TV is now sold in the Argos catalogue at the same price. (Autumn/winter) Or, it is available in the Littlewoods Index autumn/winter catalogue for £449 if you feel like paying more!
~~~~~~FEATURES~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On screen display - menus and clocks that pop up
Auto tuning
Sleep timer - I?ve never used mine
Child lock
2 scart sockets
A headphone socket

Virtual Dolby pro-logic

28" Nicam Widescreen for £299?
Advantages: Price, Price, Price and does everything a good telly should
Disadvantages: Really can't think of any.
...I had been on the lookout for a new telly for a while, and whilst out shopping in Tescos saw some really good offers. They do a Bush conventional 28" TV for £199! I'm sorry, but that is fantastic value.
However, the one I wanted was the £299 widescreen version. And that's the one I got. It's big, black, and has a nice design. Considering the next cheapest widescreen was almost double the price, where was the catch?
Well, I still haven't found it.
The TV doesn't come with a stand, but as they do the same TV with a stand for more money (£369 I think,) this isn't a problem. In fact it's nice to be given the choice. All other widescreens seem to have stands included (and thus you're forced to pay.)
The picture quality is very good, and you can choose the format of the picture with the touch of a button. Widescreen 16:9 (as...

Pleasantly Surprised by a Bush
Advantages: Good picture & sound, easy to use controls.
Disadvantages: Takes a few seconds to "warm-up".
...I am a bit of a technophobe, but thought I would write about our TV DVD combi, in the only way I now how, simply. Hopefully it will help other non-technical people out there.
Our portable TV was having intermittent faults, and my family were complaining that it was so ancient that it didn?t even have a socket to plug in a free-view box. They also wanted a DVD player included in any new model that was bought.
Having a portable TV in good working order does reduce the amount of squabbles about what programmes to watch, so I decided to have a look around for the best value for money one for us.
I was strongly influenced by a TV DVD combi we had use of when we went on holiday, and after trying to find better value for money alternatives, I was drawn back to this model.
I have had one previous experience of owning a Bush TV...

...Bush 28" Widescreen TV with Text. Model: WS6680SIL
**Situation**
It was year 2004 and my TV had broken. It was a 2nd hand one that had been given to me by a friend until the day I had enough money to buy a new one. I loved it and felt heart broken when I realised that the tube had bust! I'd had a very strong bond with my TV; it had helped my in times of need! What was I to do with no telly!
(Christ, I wonder what they did before the darn things were invented. I can't even ask my granddad as he passed on a while ago)!
Anyway back to topic?..
It was 2004, and I'd managed to save a few pennies in the bank for a supposed rainy day (So they call it). My mate (Yes the same one who gave me my beloved TV) decided that he wanted to take a trip to Tesco's Extra (A few miles out). I opted to go along with him so I could have a look...

I hate Bush!
Advantages: Internet option could have been a good point.
Disadvantages: Gimmicky, poorly designed, heavy.
...We purchased the Bush Internet Portable Television two years ago for the meagre sum of £99. We were only after a portable TV for the bedroom at the time but this was in the same price range as other models with the added feature of Internet access so as that rather irritating advert says, "Why pay the same for less?"
The Bush Internet TV in packaged in a worryingly heavy box, dragging the television out of its annoying polystyrene carton you are confronted by what can only be described as a space age style portable television. In fact it looks like a deformed helmet for Neil Armstrong. This is re-enforced by its metallic silver, curved, bubble style. It is all very 1970's.
Setting up the television appears to be easy. According to the step-by-step instructions simply plug in the hoop aerial, plug into the wall and use the remote to...

Look At My Bush!
Advantages: Great price, clear screen, good sound
Disadvantages: A brand with not a great reputation or public knowledge
...(24/10/06 - an update to this review has been attached to the end of the original, below.)
I like Bush. Really, I do.
No, not what your dirty little mind is telling you and not that weird guy who's apparently in charge of the planet, but Bush - you know, the electronics people. They make tellies and video players and DVD players and that type of thing, usually pretty damned cheaply, too. But that's not the only reason I like them - cheap Bush is handy to have, but it's not bad quality either. You tend to get the best of all worlds with Bush - a good price, reasonable reliability and some features to play with too.
I have a 32" normal Bush TV on the television stand in the living room upstairs but, in advance of the World Cup earlier this year, I needed a large telly to go in the bar and I really wanted a large plasma or LCD...
