Olympus 8X25 WP I
Advantages: Image adjustments to give great view, waterproof, adjustable eye-relief
Disadvantages: fixed magnification, average build and design quality
...Binoculars are mainly used by bird watchers as to get a closer look at them. Many people also use binoculars for occasions such as holidays where they travel to destinations of natural beauty. Using a binocular enables them to see the scenic beauty from a better and closer perspective. The Olympus 8X25 WPI is labeled professional, but can obviously be used by everyday and ordinary people.
These particular binoculars have an 8x magnification ability. This is simply the power of magnification on the binoculars, the 8x magnification means that the object or area you view through the binoculars is going to appear 8x larger or closer. The 8x magnification also means that this is the maximum and minimum magnification power of the binoculars. You cannot view an object or place with a lesser or higher magnification than 8x. If in...

The Fabulous High Life
Advantages: Great Fun
Disadvantages: None
...One Fifth Avenue is the latest novel from Candace Bushnell, author of the book that was the basis for the supremely popular 'Sex And The City' television series and film. I have to be honest, I did try to read 'Sex And The City', but after three attempts I gave up. I hate to start a book and not finish it (in fact this is probably only the third time I've done it), but I just couldn't get interested in the characters or get used to the mish-mash style of the chapters, despite the fact that I have watched, and often enjoyed, the TV series. So, it was with a certain amount of reluctance that I started to read 'One Fifth Avenue' and wow, what a difference!
Number One, Fifth Avenue is a coveted address in New York. It is a grand and intricate old house with bucket-loads of history that has now been split into various-sized apartments...

Insight into a model's life
Advantages: Interesting read
Disadvantages: Infuriating main character
...Anyone who has read 4 blondes by Candace Bushnell will recognise Janey Wilcox, the centre character in this story. In 4 blondes, she was working as a model and basically used sex with rich men as a way of paying for her summer vacations. As 4 blondes ends, she’s 27 with a future as a screenplay writer…
This picks up her story at 32, she’s got a major modelling contract, but underneath, she is still the same person. She’s very selfish, and still using people to get what she wants, including in her eventual marriage. Even her friendships seem to be with the people who can do something for her, rather than actual feelings towards anyone. Her whole life seems shallow.
Even whenever her sister really needs her, she’s too interested in herself to really be there for her. Also, her new best friend...

No Sex in this City
Advantages: It attracted a cult following and inspired an immensely popular tv show
Disadvantages: Trying to make a column into a book, and failing
...As a recent convert to the popular television show, I had great hopes for this book, bought on impulse for £5, but I'm afraid it let me down. Big time.
I could easily see that many of the storylines, characters and witty one-liners were borrowed to create the series, but the whole thing felt very loosely held together, with little connection between one story and the next. Of course it was not originally designed to be a novel, Sex and the City was Candace Bushnell's newspaper column, and unfortunately I got a very clear sense of this when reading it. The premise of the book was a good one, and when it was originally written, it seemed to represent a whole generation of young, single and attractive girls-about-town, but, unlike with the series, I felt little or no connection to the characters and the stories left me feeling cold. In...

Four Dumb Blones
Advantages: slightly entertaining and easy to read
Disadvantages: stupid inappropriate endings, confusing at times, quite boring storylines
...Candace Bushnell has got to be one of the most successful women today. Millions will know her as the creator of ?Sex and the City?, a television series based on her life in New York. She released the ?Sex and the City? book in 1999 and that really took off, so in 2000 she decided to release another book called ?4 Blondes?.
Now I admit, I?ve never watched an episode of Sex and the City. I?m one of the only people I know that hasn?t. That is mainly because I couldn?t really be bothered to watch it so late at night. And again if I?m totally truthful, I only know that Candace Bushnell created Sex and the City because I saw an interview with her on ?This Morning? with Fern and Phil. My first impressions of her were that she is absolutely beautiful and is beaming with confidence and ?girl power?.I used to stereotype authors as being...

Stick to the series!
Advantages: It changed the face of TV...
Disadvantages: but not the face of literature!!!
...OK, I'm not exactly sure how to begin this review. I have just literally finished reading Candace Bushnell's 'Sex and the City' and I have been rendered almost speechless... doesn't happen very often I can assure you! I have no idea what I was expecting because I am so used to TV/movies versions of books being completely different, but I certainly wasn't expecting what I did get... absolutely nothing!
I adored 'Sex and the City' and was so sad to see it end. I think it revolutionized TV, the way we think about sex in general, and definitly what men think we get up to during girly chats! It has spawned a generation of Carrie-wannabes, a changed society in general because of its openness and complex look at urban life. But unfortunately I don't have to talk about the show, I have to talk about the book, which is going to make this...

The white' alright
Advantages: Inexpensive
Disadvantages: Status
...***INTRO***
I discovered Tesco's value chocolate whilst searching for something special. At £0.53 for 200g it seems like good value. It comes in a oblong plastic bag with a picture of white chocolate on the front. I bought mine in May 2005, it is best before 2006. Store in a cool dry place.
***THE PRODUCT***
The pack contains 8 x 25g servings. Ingredients include sugar, cocoa, butter, whole milk powder, soya , emulsifier and flavourings. Each serving contains 136 calories, 8.7g fat (of which 5.4g are saturated) and traces of salt.
Suitable for vegetarians.
***THE TASTE EXPERIENCE***
The chocolate had a strong taste of powdered milk with a creamy texture which might be more attractive to the younger consumer. even so I found it difficult to stop after 1 or 2 pieces. The chocolate added something to the taste of TESCOs...

This is absolutely one of my most favourite tv series ever, it is entertaining and you can relate to the characters storyline in real life.
The pink and black shoe box style nicely presented box set of every episode from season 1-6. There's a total of eighteen disks and 94 episodes altogether.
Based on the bestselling book by Candace Bushnell, "Sex and the City" is about four young and educated female friends living and working in New York City. The show revolves around the various relationships and life problems experienced...
