Busting addictive fun
Review of Bust a Move 2 (PSX) by galls

Advantages: Addictive
Disadvantages: none

...Bust A Move 2 is a classic, but still very addictive strategy game. You have to fire coloured balls at various different puzzles. When you get three or more in a row , they topple and disappear. There is also a timer counting down, so You have to be really quick. This can be played alone or as a 2 player game via a link up.This means you have to have two machines on at once.(Very annoying. Every so often there is a bonus stage. This really does adds to the game. When I'm playing Bust A Move 2, I soon lose track of time. There is now Bust A Move 4 out, and I've heard it is even better. The first one however seemed to lack a few things. I can throughly recomend buying this brillant strategy and puzzle game, even though there is now a few follow up's out!!... Read review

Bubbling and Grooving
Review of Bust-A-Move 4 (PSX) by fluffyk

Advantages: Cheap, addictive, 2 player mode
Disadvantages: Addictive!!

...I purchased Bust-a-Move 4 last week for the Playstation. The game was only £9.99 so I wasn't expecting much. As soon as I turned the game on I was addicted. The bright colours and the everlasting soundtrack add to this game. The two player mode is great, especially as you can choose characters who will inflict more bubbles onto the other side. I soon found myself playing it for 6 hours solid. The adventure game part with the tarot cards is also fabulous. A great game for all ages. Buy it today... Read review

Very addictive
Review of Bust a Move 4 (PSX) by Verity

Advantages: Easy to pick up
Disadvantages: hard to put down

...This is one of those must have games for someone who doesn't want to complete the game in half an hour. The choice of games to play is quite good and if you have a friend you can challenge them to a dual. This is a fun strategy game and its entertainment value goes on and on. It is easy to play and even your mum will get the hang of it. There are other bust-a-move games in the series which offer similar games. If you are interested in this game but think its a bit pricey then look for the other older versions - they're just as fun and slightly cheaper too.... Read review

Busting the mood with bust a move 2
Review of Bust a Move 2 (PSX) by Hellzone

Advantages: Great graphics, Great Sound, Great gameplay and a real competitor for Tetris
Disadvantages: To Addictive

...I went down to games exchange, looking for a puzzly game, looked all around the shelfs, and then this one caught my eye so i bought it. Got home, unwrapped Bust a Move 2 and placed in into my playstation, Some weeks later i finally came out of my room. This game is a brill, intentse puzzle game with both single player and 2 player mode. The aim of the game is to get rid of all the coloured balls with your own, before they come down and crush your gun and little character. This game has great, cute graphics, funny sounds and brilliant game play. Comes packed with 3 modes each better than the other in its own unique ways. First theres Arcade mode where you get to choose your character and battle it out through the different stages of Bust a move 2, aposing fairly easy but sometimes challenging oponents. Next theres 2 player mode which... Read review

More crazy bubble popping!
Review of Pop n' Pop (PSX) by Simmie

Advantages: Simple concept.
Disadvantages: Too dificult for puzzle novices.

...When producing a puzzle game there are several things you must keep in mind. It must be instantly playable with simple rules, yet be complex enough to allow a degree of deviousness. It must be appealing to everybody, young or old - male or female. It must have a multiplayer option so that friends can become enemies. It must also be dangerously addictive with the ability to convince the player that sleep is something that they can do without. The country which seems to understand these rules best is Japan. Not only do they produce fiendishly addictive puzzle games but they also inject into each game a healthy dose of surrealism. In the past they have given us delights such as Columns, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, Kurushi and current King of puzzlers Bust-a-Move. Pop’n’Pop is the latest evolution of the Bust-a-move series... I'm forever blowing bubbles...
Review of Bust-A-Move 4 (PSX) by poodu

Advantages: Addictive gameplay
Disadvantages: Gets tiresome

...This is almost exactly the same as the other Bust A Move games, but it introduces chain effects, where you can drop loads of balls at once. This is the only original thing about it though. However, despite the lack of new stuff to play with this game still manages to mix it with the best! I love playing it and it will remain one of those games you dig out occasionally, like Worms. However, after about a month of continual play, it gets a bit dull and forgettable. The graphics are pretty standard. Cartoony style characters in cartoony style worlds. The sounds are pretty standard. Burst a bubble and get a popping sound. Opponent sends a flurry of bubbles your way and your character will react appropriately. Nothing is particulary outstanding, but it is a very playable game.... Read review

BUST-A-MOVE to get this game!
Review of Bust-A-Move DS (NDS) by lea20

Advantages: Addictive puzzling fun, great use of touch screen
Disadvantages: A bit samey, not many game modes

...Bust-a-Move began its life on the SNES, as Puzzle Bobble (the US version was the one known as Bust-a-Move). It featured the same charcaters from the well known Bubble Bobble series, the two cute dinosaurs, Bub and Bob. The object of this simple game is to fire coloured bubbles from a cannon at groups of the same bubbles at the top of the screen, matching three of the same colours to pop them. Simple but fun. The Playstation seen the release of Bust-a-Move 2, 3 and 4 and the PS2 seen a collection of all the best parts of the Bust-a-Move game series. The Gameboy Advance seen Super Bust-a-Move, so it was only natural that Nintendo's new DS console would see a version too. Cue Bust-a-Move DS, kind of the best parts of all the previous Bust-a-Moves in DS form, with great touch screen usage. Instead of using a cannon, you use a kind... Read review

Bust a move 2 review
Review of Bust a Move 2 (PSX) by dan123

Advantages: its fun and addictive, its cheap
Disadvantages: none

...Bust-a-Move 2 is one of the best puzzle games ever to grace the playstation platform. First appearing under the name "Puzzle Bobble" as an arcade game, this puzzle game, like many others, has been heavily influenced by classics such as tetris. It's a simple game of just joining three balls of the same colour together, to make them disappear. For such a simple sounding game and task, it's suprisingly addictive. When the game first came out, it wasn't instantly adored by the gaming public as new technological advances on the Playstation were allowing other publishers to bring out games that were visually ground-breaking. Only now that Bust-a-move 2 has gone Platinum have people started to realise what a great game this is. You shouldnt judge a book by its cover and you definitely shouldn't judge this game by its simplistic nature... Read review

Lets play marbles
Review of Bust a Move 2 (PSX) by Ork1927

Advantages: Very addictive in one or two player
Disadvantages: Music may annoy

...This games getting on a bit now and in the days of PSX2 and X-Boxes, a game involving the dinosaurs from Bubble Bobble firing coloured balls at other coloured balls may not sound to appealing. Bust a Move 2 has been updated since it's release in 1997/1998 but, in my opinion, not bettered. It's a bit of a cliché but Bust a Move 2 can be picked up by anybody. One of my ex-housemates would always despair when we had the Playstation on but he became obsessed with this game (he used to call it Marbles, hence the title of this op). He even brought a copy even though he doesn't own a PSX. It's a puzzle game for 1 or 2 players, one of the breed that evolved from Tetris. The concept is simple - At the top of the screen are an array of coloured balls and to win the round you bust destroy every ball before the screen fills up. If three balls... Read review

To bust or not to bust ..
Review of Bust a Move 2 (PSX) by Sarahb1976

Advantages: Thoroughly addictive
Disadvantages: need more levels

...Bust-a-move is a classic strategy game that basically involves matching up different coloured bubbles to make them disappear. There are 2 basic game options the solo arcade version or play with a second player (either another person or the computer). The basic setting for player 1 is this. You are a cute green dragon (well at least that’s what I think he is supposed to be). Your aim is to get through 30 different levels making sure you get rid of all the coloured bubbles on the screen each time. Each level starts off with a collection of multi-coloured bubbles lined up at the top of the screen and you have to keep shooting bubbles up from the bottom of the screen so you get three or more stuck together. When this happens all three (or more) burst and you carry on till all the bubbles on the screen are burst. Now, you might... Read review
