...This cream comes in a tube and initially seems quite expensive (when I bought my last tube it cost £17). It states that it is for use on chapped or weather burned skin ? basically for use anywhere on the body. It is a brilliant lip salve ? it may seem expensive but I can?t remember the last time I bought a tube ? it must be at least 2 years ago. The cream never goes off and lasts for ages as you only need to use the tiniest amount each time. Another thing it is very good for is when you have a sore red nose during a cold. It soothes and fixes dry skin extremely quickly and in my mind is great value for money....

8 Hour multi-tasking cream

...A friend introduced me to this cream while we were travelling on bisiness together to America. I am now a convert - I love the smell, although I do think it grows on you ... don't expect to love it at first sniff! But most of all, I love it for its multi-tasking uses. A brill lipgloss - I hate dry lips - and Eight Hour Cream lasts longer than the normal lip balm. Fantastic dry skin eliminator. Better than any other I have tried ... try it on your hands and feet overnight. Wear loose cotton socks / gloves and wake up feeling extra soft in the morning. The best athletes foot cure I've found. (I believe it was manufactured initially to soothe horses' hooves) For itchy rashes,mosquito bites and sunburn - this is your answer to all! Pack it into your holiday cosmetic bag before you leave. 8 hour cream - not really the best thing for your face

Advantages: great if you intend to milk cows
Disadvantages: smell, balmy-thickness, terrible under makeup, better as lip balm

...I know a lot of people will disagree with this review, but having worked for Elizabeth Arden (amongst other beauty houses) I feel that the balm-like thickness, stickyness and smell of the 8 hour cream is probably not the best thing to put on your face for normal everyday use. I have seen it's benefits used in the short-term for severely dry or damaged skin, but for the normal, oily, or sensitive skins, I wouldn't recommend it for continued use. It's lovely for the hands, feet, elbows and other dry skin areas, don't forget that this product spawned from the idea of farmers softening cow udders from becoming chapped from prolonged use, and as most of us don't have faces that go through the rigors of cow udders being milked, it's probably not the best idea to use this on your face everyday if you have normal or sensitive skin as it's far...

...to lanolin (wool fat) then you possibly maybe allergic to aqueous cream as well so do check first. With the plethora of creams available for such conditions, aqueous cream ,for me, stands out as one of the best for mild dry skin conditions/eczema/itchy skin and is certainly fantastic value for money ( under £2 for a big 500g tub - yes that's right, no need to put on your glasses)- that's why i've used it instead of E45 cream (£8+ for 500g) being the tight person i am. But seriously you'll be saving lots of money for a product which in most cases is just as effective. So go on, spoil your skin....

Good product, but over-hyped

...'t really sink into your skin quickly, so I wouldn't recommend using it all over your face. I will repurchase after my tube runs out, but mainly because it's such a classic. It doesn't really do that much for me, even though the list is long, ironically! As I said, it's a good lip balm/gloss and good for treating awkward dry patches. I've never used it for my cuticles, my hair or an intensive night moisturiser..this is because it's rather expensive, so I wouldn't want to waste it! Also, because it takes ages to absorb, it feels greasy too, making me think that it'd cause your pores to clog. Of course, it is really a quality version of good old Vaseline, so it depends on whether you want to spend the extra pounds on it. Decent hand cream but is it worth the large price tag?

Advantages: The scent is great, a nice thick texture which is easily absorbed and hands are truly moisturised.
Disadvantages: The price tag, it really lets it down.

...I seem to go through quite a bit of handcream due to the fact that the handwash in our toilets at work seems to really dry my hands out, and I can't stand the way they feel after I have washed them at work! After being recently very disappointed with the Asda's own handcream I was keeping an eye out for a different handcream to buy. I was in the Body Shop as I had some vouchers to use and there was a sale on, whilst I was in the queue I noticed this handcream and made a grab for it just before I was served. This was my first mistake, little did I know this 100ml tube of hand & nail cream was going to come to £7.80! It was my own fault for not checking the price of course, but I just could not believe they are charging £7.80 for a handcream. Luckily I am a Love Your Body Member which means I get 10% off purchases so that helped a little...
