The handiest gadget ever!
Review of Bytestor 1GB USB 2.0 by
dougcam1
Advantages: SImple to use and set up
Disadvantages: None that I can find
...I bought this from Amazon about 6 months ago, and I now wonder how I managed before. It's just so handy! Everything about this is just right. The size is ideal, it fits perfectly on my keyring. The 1GB storage capacity is fantastic.
The main use I have is for bringing work back and forth from the office. My office email is internal, and it used to be complete pain, to work at home either meant dusting off the old office laptop, transferring directly to it etc., or floppy disks, which simply don't have the capacity required.
The Bytestor 1GB USB 2.0 plugs (as you would except from the name) into the USB port, and Windows (XP in my case) simply picks it up with plug and play and uses it as an extra drive. It's that easy! USB 2.0 standard means transfer rate is pretty rapid too. Once you've finished with it, you just pull it out...

Review of Bytestor Secure Digital 128 MB by
moo_trendy_cow
Advantages: convenient way to store information
Disadvantages: can't think of any!
...can get extra memory cards which will maximise the potential of your digital device. But I haven't really been needing any.
I will continue to buy products from bytestor, because they have good standards, are reliable and affordable, I would recommend it to anyone with computers, voice recorders, cameras e.t.c. you can pass information effectively from one device to another, it's simply genius!...

Fast, reliable and cheap!
Review of Bytestor Dataferry USB flash drive - 2 GB by
intelligents
Advantages: fast, reliable, cheap, looks good, feels good, Mac and PC compatible, robust storage
Disadvantages: cap could clip on better
...cases make sure the red light on the Bytestor stops flashing. By doing this you will be much less likely to encounter a problem. I, and my fiance, have always done this and have never had a problem with any USB devices. The red light on the Bytestor, by the way, only flashes when the unit is in use. The rest of the time no light will be on.
I think you can tell i love this product. I am just so impressed with it which is why i bought this for my fiance - she likes it too by the way. I have let her use it now! You have to check these things out just to make sure!
In terms of capacity 2GB is what you'll need for lots of photos and videos and music. My 1GB gets filled up too quickly.
In terms of reliability these USB data storage devices have been proven to be more robust than a CD/DVD/floppy and are much quicker and easier to use...

(Compact) Flash In The Pan
Review of Bytestor HI Speed Compact Flash CF 1GB 1024 MB by
LegendaryMrDude
Advantages: Price, Capacity
Disadvantages: Reliability, Speed
...besides simple storage; how fast the files can be stored. This has seen the creation of various grades of CF where the speed of access is indicated by a multiple of 150Kb, so an 8x card has an access speed of 8 x 150Kb or 1.2Mb/sec. Regular speed cards are somewhere between 8x and 10x, High Speed is 20x (3Mb/sec) and ultra-High Speed are 40x (6Mb/sec).
That's the basics of CF out of the way, so on to the ByteStor card in question...
Advertised as a High-speed card with a 20x (3Mb/sec) access time with 1Gb capacity and coming in at only £65 from Amazon (and probably less after Christmas!) it was too good a bargain to miss. Equivalent cards from named brands sell for 3 times as much and surely there can't be that much of a difference?
Arriving in minimal packaging but with a typical snap-closed plastic case, it's a pretty standard Type II CF...

Cruzing to success
Review of SanDisk Cruzer Micro - USB flash drive - 1 GB by
MVP017
Advantages: U3 system, LED light
Disadvantages: Not big enough capacity
...Having had a USB drive for about 6 years and them constantly breaking or literally falling apart i though it was time to switch to a different make from the range of Bytestor drives i have used. My first drive cost me £25 for a megre 128MB but with the cheap range now available, i was able to pick up this 1GB drive for under £15.
As for the design there is no removable lid (which i normally manage to break) but instead the USB connector is stored within the 'pen' and slides out by the sliding of the white opener (centre of picture). This makes the whole drive feel much more solid and there is less chance of it breaking. The only problem with it though is that it collects dust easier but thats not a really big problem.
As with all new drives they are USB 2.0 which means that transfer is quick and effiecient. That is it about...
