Focus on Hazard Perception.
Review of Driving Test Success Hazard Perception DVD by lindsayjayne

Advantages: Lots of practice clips to test yourself, clear and easy to understand.
Disadvantages: No booklet, try to sell you other products in the Introduction.

...I am currently learning to drive (as many people on Ciao will already know!) and will be taking my theory test next week. One of the things I bought to help me with my theory test was the Focus Driving Test Success:Hazard Perception dvd. Apologies I've you've read my other review on a Hazard Perception dvd - they are different. *What Is Hazard Perception?* In 1996 the Theory Test was brought in as part of passing your driving test, to ensure new drivers knew the Highway Code. Each Learner is given a series of 35 multiple choice questions, out of which they must get 30 correct. In 2001, concerned by the amount of accidents occuring with new drivers, the Hazard Peception test was introduced. The aim was to make new drivers more aware of the hazards around them when driving. During the test there are 14 video clips shown of road scenes... Read review

Crucial Radeon X1600 Pro AGP
Review of Crucial Radeon X1600 Pro AGP by ilaskey

Advantages: Great image quality, price, shader 3.0, DirectX 9.0c, H264 support
Disadvantages: Not very fast, there are cheaper X1600's out there

..., better colour fidelity and hardware noise reduction as well as artifact reduction and playback smoothing. The card is ready for Windows Vista and has all the features needed for the new Aero interface that Vista offers. Performance It is fair to say that the X1600 series isn't the fastest option if outright speed is your goal. If you want more grunt then you may want to consider Crucial's similarly priced X800 GTO. However, what the X1600 Pro does offer is superior image quality and support for the very latest features such as Shader 3.0 and DirectX9.0c. That said, it's certainly no slouch. I ran some benchmarks with the 7500 and the X1600 Pro and it was at least twice as fast in most tests and considerably faster in certain key areas such as hardware anti-aliasing. I'm not convinced that it really needs 512MB of RAM though. I'd rather... Read review

Be different & turn heads
Review of Lexus IS200 by InspectorGadget

Advantages: Lexus quality
Disadvantages: none

...Placed my order 18 months before delivery. If it has the Lexus name on it, you can be sure that it is of the highest quality. Lexus, "The relentless pusuit of excellence". 100% correct. This car out performs all in its class. What Car? wont even test it against the average 3 series BMW, C class Merc, Audi A4 or Alfa 155 in a latest test. They know the IS200 beats them all. Superb engine performance, power when you need it, even in 6th gear. Handles like a 4 wheel drive and as confortable as your favorite arm chair and a stereo system that is better than at home. Test drive one and I dare you not to place an order. 40000 miles, not one problem. Can't wait till they bring out the Mark two version!... Read review

very good quality cooler for AMD CPU's
Review of Akasa AK 876 by piotrekpol

Advantages: Very cool, easy to install
Disadvantages: copper on the cpu side far from mirror ( needs a polish )

...Test system: processor - AMD Athlon FX62 (2 x 2800 MHz / 125W TDP) motherboard - ASUS M2N32 DeLuxe Wireles Edition (passive cooling system with HeatPipe) Cooler is very easy to install just one lever. More experienced users will probably remove thermal compound and polish the surface of the cooler ( it is far from being a mirror ) and then apply high quality thermal compound. This will give You another 1-2 C less and faster cooling down after stress. all tests were done using Zalman STG 1 ( high quality thermal compound ) Temperature readings after 60 minutes in idle: Akasa AK-876 37 Arctic Cooling 64PRO 38 Scythe Katana II 39 Temperature readings after 60 minutes in 100% load: Akasa AK-876 56 Arctic Cooling 64PRO 58 Scythe Katana II 61 Temperature readings... A great touch from One Touch Ultra
Review of One Touch Ultra Blood Glucose Testing Monitor by xalala

Advantages: Only takes 5 seconds to produce results, can take blood sample from forearm as well as fingertips
Disadvantages: Still have to take blood samples!

...The One Touch Ultra is the latest in a string of similar products from the boffins at Lifescan, part of Johnson & Johnson. Like most diabetics, I'm supposed to test my blood sugar upwards of 4 times a day. This is going to be even more important that usual in the coming months, as I'm switching from MDI (multiple daily injections) regime over to an insulin pump at the end of June. The change makes it essential that I test my blood sugars rigorously for as long as I use the pump - which I hope will be forever, or at least until a cure is found. Again, like most diabetics, I don't always do what I'm told. Up until a few weeks ago I'd been using the Lifescan PocketScan meter to test my blood sugars. I was lucky enough to be given a new meter by the nurse at my recent diabetes review at my local GP surgery. Since I began using blood... Read review

Review of Everything that starts with X ... by Toonarmy

Advantages: see how many you get right
Disadvantages: may cause brainache on this wed afternoon

...I am a wee bit bored, just waiting for things, so I thought I would test people's brain power......... some of it is quite logical, and sometimes you need to think a bit broader than normal. Good luck! You have to work out what the letters mean. See No 0 as an example. According to MENSA, if you get 23 of these, you are a "genius". Only 2 MENSA members achieved full marks. Pots Of Wee And Lots Of Pricks
Review of Member Advice on Tests During Pregnancy by KarenUK

Advantages: tests are extremely useful in finding any potential health problems in the mother or baby
Disadvantages: Sometimes it can feel like you have no choice - but you do

...Being a mother of four children, I have experienced many tests throughout pregnancy. Thankfully, I had only minor problems and ended up with four healthy babies born in 1990, 1992, 1993 and 1996. The amount of tests can seem rather daunting at first. I have always been terrified of needles, for example, but four pregnancies meant so many blood tests that I eventually developed a kind of tolerance to them. True, it’s never something I enjoyed - and I did pass out the first time I had my blood taken, but it got easier! A typical antenatal visit to see the midwife will include a series of routine tests. You will have your wee sample checked (Weeing in a tiny bottle is another skill pregnant women develop!), blood pressure taken and your tummy palpated (felt), for example. Midwives often listen to the baby’s heart, which... Read review

Legs - Breasts ± Wombats = LBW!
Review of Australia by mrpaella

Advantages: Barmaids Down Under Are The Best In The Business
Disadvantages: Sheilas Unfortunately Are Allergic To Me

...of a burnt bail, which is kept in the Lords museum. I followed my first Ashes series in 1970/71 at the age of 8. The England MCC team were touring down under. The English team comprised of players such as Geoff Boycott, John Edrich, Brian Luckhurst, Basil D'Oliveira, Alan Knott, Derek Underwood and John Snow. Ray Illingworth captained it. The Australian team comprised of players such as Keith Stackpole, Doug Walters, Paul Sheahan, Ian and Greg Chappell, Rodney Marsh, Dennis Lillee and Terry Jenner. Bill Lawry captained it. England regained the Ashes winning the series 2-0 I think. Geoff Boycott and John Snow performed heroics for England. Greg Chappell scored a century in his first test. Rodney Marsh had a nervous start to his test career and was nicknamed 'Iron Gloves'. I recall that the 3rd test at Melbourne was abandoned without a ball being... Read review
