BT Quartet 1100

Advantages: Good shape and design; Page button; 1-touch '1471'
Disadvantages: Tends to cut out; Reception is unpredictable

...We bought the BT Quartet 1100 as a replacement for out existing cordless telephone, which had a bit of an accident with the floor - it was never the same again! PRICE We were basically looking for something at the cheaper end of the BT range, having previously had problems with a lesser-known brand phone. The BT Quartet 1100 seemed to be a great price, especially as it was in the sale. This was something we later regretted as I suppose sometimes you just get what you pay for. DESIGN I like the look of the phone a lot. It is white, so does tend to fit in with most decor. Unlike our previous model, it has a more curved body and sits in the moulded base very well. It feels very comfortable to hold, which is a great asset when you spend ages on the phone. It also seems quite robust and has put up with many months of daily use...

Hardly A cuteLaser

Advantages: Superb Colour Quality
Disadvantages: Bit big, bit noisy and a bit fiddly

...I've lived with ink-jet printers for years. Canon gave me the first bubble-jet and Epson have supplied the later models - various models of Stylus including C80, C84 and C86. They get heavy use for work and all have given some headaches with clogged heads. So a mixture of desperation and hope, together with keen pricing, has led me down the colour laser printer road. The Epson Aculaser may not be a cute laser, but it does work a treat. Specification ++++++++++ I'll not go into all the technical stuff, it is readily available from Epson's site or any of the dealers. But what you need to know is that this printer uses a laser and is a 4 pass machine, doing each colour separately. That makes it a tad slower than single pass machines... but much cheaper. It uses four toner cartridges - black, magenta, cyan and yellow...

Bt Studio 1100 = Perfect Efficiency

Advantages: £35 - called id, assign ringtones, 300m outdoor range, appearance=perfect
Disadvantages: only 3 melodies! no txt messaging/answerphone

...Studio 1100 can have a range of 300m outdoors! and stores 30 numbers in its phonebook. (has 100 hour standby time and 10 hour calltime life) you can also assign a ringtone to each member of your phone book! These are its main great features along with call display: I am with BT as a phone company and for an extra 50p to the bill I get caller ID so now i see the number on the phone when it rings, and if the contact is saved in my phonebook i will see their name when they ring. Disadvantages of the phone is that it only has 3 melodies, only 1 of which are decent (melody2) The phone doesnt have its own answerphone but this is minor as BT provide one (accessed by call 150) The phone is great and does actually support its 'digital clarity' claim and is 'DECT certified' (Digital European Cordless Telecommunications. ...Having purchased a number of the C1100's predecessor, the AcuLaser C900, purchasing one of these was seen as a natural step, and is a step that has not proved dissapointing. The printer comes well packaged, and protected, it what is possibly a slightly oversized box! Following the instructions through the initial setup is easy, and your also guided by the LCD display. Once you have installed the various consumables, and hooked it up to you PC via either a Parallel or USB connection, installing the drivers (on Win XP) was also straight forward. When printing it can take a short while to get going, but isn't anything other than you'd expect of a laser printer, and is also reasonably quiet. The print quality is good, and for general colour printing in an office envrionment, it proves excellent value for money. The one thing...

...need to come in to hospital to have a DNC (scrape) to get rid of all the crap that was now taking over my womb as if left it can become dangerous because the mole pregnancy can become cancerous. Now not only has my featus died but i now have the worry of weather or not it has turned to the big C. I would not know anything until after i have had the DNC done as they will then test what they have taken away from my womb and check to see if there are any C cells. I was admitted into hospital and had to stay in for three days because of risk of heamorraging after my DNC. The good news was that they had managed to take everything away that was in my womb which made me feel alot easier. ...After owning my little Citroen C3 for just over 6 years, the time has come to accept that this relationship has run its course and move on to better things. So I have finally part-exchanged my C3 and, hopefully, bid farewell to endless visits to the garage and constant repair bills! Like most relationships, this started so well. It was love at first sight when I set eyes on the C3, which was a relatively new model when I bought mine back in November 2002. The design of the car is quite funky for a small, relatively cheap hatchback or what is known as a 'super-mini'. It has an attractive curved exterior and looks very modern and stylish. BMW R1100RS SE

Advantages: Comforable; Reliable; just a great bike:
Disadvantages: Oil inspection glass means getting on hands and knees!!

...I first purchased my BMW in April 2003, it is a W plated RS1100 SE, had 3,500 miles on the clock and cost £5,500. If you read my Moto Guzzi review you will see that I came back into biking after a 35 year lapse, and although I like and still have the Guzzi, it developed a problem (no spark) and is currently garaged. Also I had a couple of occasions to call out the AA, in London to fix a few 'minor' problems. I decided I wanted a superior bike, a one which had received good reviews and would not only be reliable, but would just go on and on forever. The only bike I could think of therefore was a BMW, and not being a sports bike person or a Harley man (cannot get to grips [sorry about the pun] with the heavy clutch in commuter traffic, a problem with my hand!!!)
