...This review is on a Citroen C5 HDi LX 110bhp diesel hatchback 2002 model (02). (The picture under this heading is incorrect and shows an estate car - apologies - picture not from me. The details relate to this hatchback) We bought this car several months ago and I absolutely love it. I have been used to having a company car which is renewed every three years and thought having an older second hand car again would be a nasty shock to the system but have found the complete opposite is the case with this one! This does however give a bit more space in the cabin so I can cross freely from drivers to passengers side or even from front to back without having to clamber over obstacles extremely handy for parking in very tight spaces. Weve also had one small faux pas with the intergrated sunblinds, which was an accident waiting to happen.They are fantastic they pull up out of the door trims and fasten by a simple plastic hook at the top of the window frame. However on the sliding door they are fastened by 2 hooks and if small enquireing fingers unfasten one the blind then flops about, enough so when you open the sliding door the blind gets trapped on the c-post and is ripped off!!!!!!This usually happens 2 days after warning the owner of the fingers not to play with the blinds!!! On unlocking the vehcile the mirrors move out and the floor adjacent to the car is illuminated by lights in the door mirrors Comfort The seating is very comfortable and has zoned airconditioning and cruise control / speed limiter built in. The EGS system is good for those long haul drives as the driver can relax and concentrate on the road ahead. As stated it can be alarming if you need to accelerate quickly! Inside the car there is a feature called ambient lighting that gives an orange glow from the roof lining and under the dashboard, its nice but a bit gimmicky. I decided to go for the Citroen C5, 2.0 SX estate as I do like a decent sized car with enough load space to get all the kids toys, bikes etc. in. I’ve had it for about 12 weeks now and have covered just over 1500 miles so I think I can make a reasonable assessment of it. OVERALL LOOK OF THE CAR It is very streamlined and looks good in the silver colour I opted for. It has aluminium roof bars which are, for the silver version, as near as makes no odds to being body coloured. Advantages: Spacious, economical fuel consumption, looks good
Disadvantages: High repair and maintenance bills, unreliable, doesn't look so good on the back of a tow truck!

...After owning my little Citroen C3 for just over 6 years, the time has come to accept that this relationship has run its course and move on to better things. So I have finally part-exchanged my C3 and, hopefully, bid farewell to endless visits to the garage and constant repair bills! Like most relationships, this started so well.
