Advantages: Good communication, delivered on time as promised, prices pretty good
Disadvantages: Not free delivery. Delivery company didn't all they were supposed to.

...Really pleased with the whole process. This company wasn't the cheapest on price, partly because they don't do free delivery like some other companies (delivery cost £19.99), but they had the best reviews from other customers - much better than the companies selling it for cheaper. As you can tell from the company name, they sell kitchen appliances including dishwashers, cookers, hobs, fridges, freezers, coffee machines, washing machines and tumble dryers. We ordered a Neff Hob from them late in the evening on 8 November. The website confirmed delivery would normally be in 7 days. The confirmation email stated that someone would contact me within 48 hours to confirm the order and to arrange a suitable delivery date. Sure enough, the next day I had a phone call confirming the order and arranging a delivery date for one week...

Avoid Sainsbury's Kitchen Appliances

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Contemptuous attitude toward the customer and consumer protection laws

...Please do not order anything from Sainsbury's Kitchen Appliances. We ordered a Zanussi washing machine and are now stuck with this faulty unusable machine, even though we paid extra for fitting and testing. When the machine runs it fills our apartment with the acrid smell of burning rubber. We reported this within 24 hours of our having received delivery of the machine yet Sainsburys will not replace it without first sending out an engineer (the earliest time the engineer will get to us is a full seven days after we reported the fault) who then will submit a report to them (Sainsburys), who will then contact Zanussi. It could easily be 3 weeks or more before we have a working machine. Surely, if a machine is reported as faulty within 24 hours of delivery, it should simply be replaced. Yes. That's the law, but Sainsburys don't see...

...Under no circumstances buy anything from Boots Kitchen Appliances. I bought a cooker online and was to have it delivered on a Saturday. They informed me of a 4 hour delivery slot on the previous day. It was to be delivered between 7am and 11am. I was called on 7am to inform me they were on their way. They arrived at 8am and got me out of bed. Then informed me they had a dishwasher instead of a cooker. I ask you!!! We arranged another Saturday and was informed two days before that they could not deliver. Arranged another Saturday and they did not turn up. Was not called with any explanation. On each occasion I had to compensate an electrician who I had retained to install it. I am now six weeks without a cooker and it is still ongoing. DO NOT BUY FROM BOOTS KITCHEN APPLIANCES....

Don't buy domestic appliances from Boots

Disadvantages: Endless frustration and rotten customer service

...Never try to buy a domestic appliance from Boots on-line. They twice failed to provide the item ordered and offered compensation which never came. All told terrible service and hopeless customer relations. At the beginning of January I placed an order for a fridge freezer, A few days later I was phoned to say the item had been discontinued. On further checking I was told that this was not the case, but that I would have to wait three weeks for delivery. I waited; the evening before delivery was scheduled I was left a message on my mobile (not even the courtesy of a phone call to my home phone) to say the product was discontinued. a first class service from Sainsburys Kitchen

Advantages: good prices for most items, many items in stock, can choose delivery day
Disadvantages: ordering over the phone better than online

...delivered the following week on the same day as the other items. What I really liked about Sainsburys Kitchen Appliances was that: a) for many (but not all) items the prices are very good; b) many items are in stock and you can agree a delivery date when you order (this is unlike many online traders who keeep very little in stock); c) delivery was timely on the agreed day; d) we could choose any day for dweliver (the other 2 items that we ordered from Redhilll Appliances can only be delivered on Thursday -where we live - as it happens none of us can be at home on a Thusday for at least another 2 weeks)....

Space Kitchens (Cost 15,000 with no appliances or even tiles!!)

Disadvantages: NEED TO REPLACE ALL WALL & FLOOR TILES AND STILL HAVE TO SUPPLY NEW APPLIANCES

...someone to fix this then replace all the tiles as the tiles that were previously there have either been removed by space kitchen or are 2 inches above the worktop! the floor has nothing on it and also this £15,000 does not include any appliances!!!!!!! How do these salespeople sleep at night??...

Very disappointing Experience

...After having a dodgy Indesit washer dryer for a few years that nobody liked (it was so noisy it sounded like a plane taking off and the clothes were never properly spun or dried). So, when it stopped working again, it was not a surprise. However, when the guy from Scottish gas was working on it, there was what sounded like an explosion.
