Good But You Have To Pay
Review of Olympus Soft case Digital photo camera by
andywood
Advantages: Lovely Feel
Disadvantages: A Bit Pricy
...I have an Olympus case SIMILAR to this which holds the C150, C220, C350 and the C450.
It has a lovely soft leather feel to it on the outside, with a very convenient pouch at the front that can contain memory cards. It is line on the inside by very nice cotton like fabric that is soft, and will protect the camera immensely well. This has been extra useful because in the past I have had cards bent due to contact with the camera so this has been extra handy.
The price on Amazon (which is the only place I could find it at) is £14.99, OUCH! I hear you say. I would certainly not have payed that price for it, and probably not got it at all. I received it as part of a Christmas time deal from Amazon where it came free with the camera I purchased (the C150)
It fits inside it pretty snuggly, with just a bit of leeway at the top, but generally I...

Review of Recipes for Cakes and Biscuits by
kellyv43
Advantages: taste nice
Disadvantages: have to wait for them to cool
...It’s getting closer and nearly everyone is talking about it now. What am I talking about? Yes, Christmas. The shops are full of gifts, food and drink ready for the festive period. So today I thought I would share with you a mince pie recipe. Christmas is traditionally the time when everyone likes to tuck into a nice mince pie but they can be eaten at anytime during the year.
To make these mince pies you will need-
225g or 8oz Plain Flour
a pinch Salt
50g or 2 oz Lard
50g or 2 oz Margarine
30mlCold water to mix
25g or 1oz Caster Sugar
some Milk
Mincemeat
Using the amounts that I have given you, you will be able to make about 15 mince pies.
Before starting to make the pastry you will need to pre heat your oven to 230C (450F GM 8). Now you are ready to start.
1.Mix flour and salt in mixing bowl, then rub in lard.
2.Using...

A treat at tea time
Review of Mr Brains Pork Faggots by
sjljersey
Advantages: Easy to cook and filling
Disadvantages: Not cheap
...I was struggling to decide what to cook for dinner tonight when a long forgotten packet of 6 of these little beauties feel out of the freezer!
I thought - why not give them a go. I had on brought them as they were 50% extra free.
Cooking
------------
These faggots come handily packaged in a tin foil tray so you need do no more that lossen the edges and pop them into a pre-heated oven at 230 C/450 F/Gas Mark 8 for 35 -45 minutes depending on how good your oven is.
Or you could microwave them but I understand from others they can be like mush done like this!
Serving
----------
I have read comments about them falling apart after cooking, from asking around this tends to only happen when you cook them for too long.
They come in a lovely thick rich West Country sauce which is sufficient to add a little extra spice to the meal...

Mr Brains Faggots
Review of Mr Brains Pork Faggots by
donna19l
Advantages: A lovely tea
Disadvantages: A bit high in fat
...these to anyone who is dieting
~~~~~~~~~~~~The Faggots~~~~~~~~~~~
The four faggots come in a siver tray and cardboard lid. They come in a west country sauce which is a bit like gravy but is a bit thicker and has a distinctive taste that i cant really describe, also i found that there wasnt much of it. The faggots are basically made from offal the bits of meat leftovers and add in a bit of onion, this all sounds a bit disgusting but take it from me they taste delicious.
~~~~~~~~~~The Cooking~~~~~~~~~~~
They come in a siver tray but there are two ways that you can cook faggots
Oven-Loosen the edges all around the tray and pop them in
230C/ 450F or gas mark 8 for 30-40 mins.
Microwave-put the faggots in a plastic container and pop them in
650 watt for 6-7 mins or 850 watt for 4-5 mins and leave to stand for 1 min
Please dont forget to take them...

Canon Ixus 60 as reviewed by a sales person
Review of Canon Digital IXUS 60 by
jamesofdeath
Advantages: Metal casing, styligh, 9 point focus system, easy to use
Disadvantages: could do with a bigger zoom and better low light shots
...Thought it would be a good idea to review an ixus 60 as I work with them most days and own one myself. I upgraded to an ixus 60 from an Olympus C450 last year in order to go away on holiday with. I had been speaking to a canon rep not long before this and had sold dozens of these cameras to customers so i thought it was a good solid camera to buy. I like the camera because of its metal casing, not many cameras have this but instead opt for a plastic casing which tends to warp in heat and crack when dropped. The huge 2.5inch LCD screen on the back is clear and made from a light absorbing material as to not get much of a glare from the sun when shooting with the sun behind you. Also, the ixus 60 keeps the use of a viewfinder, a move which many cameras have done away with and those that still have a viewfinder have a flaw called paralax...

Pork Faggots - what a Brainy idea!!!!
Review of Mr Brains Pork Faggots by
kelr101
Advantages: Delicious Taste, easy to cook
Disadvantages: Slightly fatty and the name might be off-putting!
...over or microwave. The advice of the packaging reminds consumers to be very careful when handling the container, if the product has been cooked in an over, as it will be very hot.
Microwave – for different powered microwave, you will need to adjust the times, but cooking times are provided for a 650 watt (12-13 minutes) and an 850 watt (9-10 minutes) microwave. It is advised that contains are transferred from the foil container to a similar sized bowl and covered with a loose lid.
Conventional oven – for best results it is recommended the foil container is loosened slightly and the Faggot’s are cooked at 230*C/450*F/Gas Mark 8 for 30-40 Minutes.
*Taste test*
Now this is where the fun part beings. I generally cook my Faggot’s in the microwave purely because this is how my Granddad always used too, but I have occasionally cooked them...
