An amazing phone

Advantages: Big Screen, Bluetooth, 1.3MP Camera, Upgradable MiniSD Card
Disadvantages: Slow Start Up, Battery goes down quite quickly with Bluetooth on

...I received the C550 cheap after my old phone was upgraded. The look of the phone itself is very good and the screen is a very nice size. When you turn it on though, it does indeed take awhile which is quite annoying. Being a Windows based phone, you can easily plug it into your computer and save the pictures that you have taken with its 1.3MP camera. The camera itself is small but takes very good pictures for a camera phone, the pictures look a lot better on the computer than they do on the screen aswell. I've dropped this phone many times and it has many chips and scratches and yet it still works perfectly, I even decided to get a 1GB MiniSD card so that I can record video and take more pictures, it can also be used as an MP3 player although the headphone socket is smaller than a normal MP3 player and so finding decent headphones...

Great looks no substance

...I originally brought this phone because of its small size and weight and also because it contained a camera. This is the first camera phone that I have ever owned. However, comparing the pictures with other camera phones the resolution and quality is poor. The phone is small and easy to carry but very fragile so if dropped it is not as strong as the nokia and scratches easily. I have not yet been able to find a clear case for the c550 so have to use the old c350 case which does not fit correctly. Sound quality is very poor on the phone. People I talk to find it very difficult to hear me. I end up shouting down the phone and then find it difficult to hear sometimes what the other person is saying. ...I bought this phone 6 months ago, and paid £189.99 which was great deal at this time for phone like this. I wanted phone which would fulfil all my demands, and this phone does it perfectly. IT has got great camera 1,3 mpix (1280x10240. But really it is just about it. Limited shooting modes such as greyscale, cool sepia and night modes. Night mode is not working as i hoped so. Next problems that i came up with camera is quite poor image quality. Video recording is also poor quality(176x144 is the maximum).However there is possibility to save files to popular motion Jpeg-Avi or mpeg 4. The biggest advantage in this phone is mp3 player which can hold up to 30-40 tracks(with included 128 SD mini card). SPV C550 also is able to play files such as wma. ...Unfortunatley, I recently had my motorola C550 stolen, and whilst looking on this website to see how other phones were rated - I thought I would have a look at the C550 and see how it did. Now I have to say I loved my phone - it was easy to use, and I loved it being small and compact. A couple of points on the other reviews, in the in-box you can change the set up so that it says who its from rather than the first line of the message. You can hide the softkeys when viewing camera pictures stored in the phone, and finally, the text size did change on my screen once, but I managed to change it back (zoom out function - I can't tell you where this is as no longer have the phone.) This is one amazing phone, I recently upgraded from the SPV C500, and wow, it is a bit slower than the C500 but there a lot more options, it crashes every so offen, but thats what windows is good for! I brought it for £100 and it came with the 512MB chip unlike any other phone makers, who make you pay more for the extra space.
