Cabin Betrayal
Review of Cabin Fever DVD by
streetvibes87
Advantages: The mass hysteria is conveyed through brilliant acting
Disadvantages: Parts of it are surreal yet we are giving no answers. Why did that kid bite him?:s
...Right and wrong, trust and betrayal. How far would you go to look after number 1 when the killer doesn't care who you are? Cabin Fever shows human nature in a brilliantly constructed, fast paced and delightfully gory couple of hours.
Group hysteria has always been the horror writer's most treasured plot device and Cabin Fever takes it to another level. When a group of students head out into the woods in pursuit of a little fun no one blinks an eye, but as the audience would expect from a traditional horror film it all ends in the inevitable. Gore and death. As normal the characters have more money than sense and are demonstrably attractive but when all their fun and fornication comes to an end they all show what’s behind their pretty faces…perhaps because they are falling off.
Enter the deliverer of death. Late one night...

Why do you build me up?
Review of Cabin Fever DVD by
Nana123
Advantages: If you like blood and guts...
Disadvantages: Leaves you feeling cold/sick...
...I am generally a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to horrors, so naturally when I saw the powerful and intense images from cabin fever flash on the cinema screen a couple of months ago, I vowed not to put myself through such 'termoil'.
My MUM dragged me along...the first five minutes of the film passed and eventually I convinced myself it was safe to come out from beneath my coat until I felt something trully scary was about to occur. I have to say I eventually sat on my coat...because nothing very scary really did happen!(Gore is not that scary to me.)
Basically the title gives it away....'Cabin Fever' and that's it...a bunch of kids get a fever in a cabin(well it's a bit more gruesome than that) somewhere in outback America. I guess the trailers in the months before the release did all they could to hype it up and I have to say I...

Cult Fever at it's best
Review of Cabin Fever DVD by
Magdalena
Advantages: Back to the 70s horror of yester-year
Disadvantages: not enough gore!
...Director: Eli Roth
Running time: 93mins
Main Cast:
Rider Strong................Paul
Jordan Ladd.................Karen
Joey Kern...................Jeff
Cerina Vincent..............Marcy
James DeBello...............Bert
Arie Verveen................Henry
Giuseppe Andrews............Deputy Winston
Overview:
As a wind-down after finishing college, 5 friends stay in a cabin in the woods, but things do not go as planned when one of them gets infected with a contagious flesh-eating virus. The question is, who else in the group has it? The fear of infection driving them to turn on each other, can they stick together long enough to get help before they all die?
My Opinion:
Before going to see this film, I had heard and read nothing but good about it. The general consensus was that Cabin Fever was an interesting new concept, ideas never...

Cabin Feverish
Review of Cabin Fever DVD by
Galien
Advantages: You could be eating nails.
Disadvantages: It starts...
...Do you like scary movies?
Personally I’m a fan of horror films, the best of them are very clever and intriguing, the worst of them extremely bad but as long as one gets a good fright then it all seems worthwhile.
Its fear but knowing that your never really in any danger, that adrenaline rush, the skin crawling or (in the very best examples) the ones that get in under your skin, films like the Exorcist, The Others or The Ring (Japanese version) to name a few.
In this genre Cabin Fever doesn’t really deserve a place. It’s a shocker, it gory and its sickening. The scares are few and far between and all the characters are unlovable, vain, arrogant and selfish. Not one of them endeared themselves to me and so it happens that I didn’t really care whether they caught the disease or not.
The premise is this. A group of horny teenagers rent...

gore, nothing more!
Review of Cabin Fever DVD by
gloweena
Advantages: Learn about the human body and how not to shoot squirrels
Disadvantages: far fetched plot, thats if you can figure out the plot.....
...to a cabin in the middle of the woods, and one of the boys there goes out shooting for squirrels. whilst looking for the poor little critters, he thinks he's accidently shot an old bloody farmer-type guy, but in actual fact(unknown to the boy) he's just got the "fever". he's basically dripping in blood..... anyway, later on that night this walking corpse comes knocking on the cabin door for help, and ends up trying to steal the kid's car.. so they go and bash his brains out after he's sicked up blood all over their vehicle , and also manage to set light to him, before he goes combusting into the forest. Then he just happens to die and fall into a resevoir, which strangely enough is the water supply to the cabin, therefore giving all who drink the water the "fever". The rest of the film is following the kids whilst they slowly die from the fever...

a great movie from an up-and-coming director...
Review of Cabin Fever DVD by
saraxscalper
Advantages: unique plot, crazy humor.
Disadvantages: certain cast members pissed you off.
..."cabin fever" may have had its faults (the "teen movieish" beginning, and characters that made you want to smack them), but when the plot starts thickening (like the lesions on the characters' skin), there's no way you can diss this gore flick that really gets under yr skin.
five college students decide to stay in a little cabin in the wodds...however, there is one problem. a bum living in the woods has been infected by a strange type of flesh-eating disease, and comes to the cabin to look for help. getting violent and threatening the students causes them to react in self defense and kill the bum...but he falls into the cabin's water reservoir, thereby putting the disease into the water system and infecting the cabin's inhabitants. lots of skin loss and gore occur in consequence...
as i said, the beginning lags a little, and certain...

odd...but i think i like it
Review of Cabin Fever DVD by
flipflopgirl
Advantages: unusual, breaks the mould, funny
Disadvantages: not for those who like a sensible direction to their film
...so we're queueing at the cinema, and it's a toss-up between down with love, finding nemo, and cabin fever. we discuss it briefly, and we decide that at 18 years old, we're too old for underwater disney adventures, too cool for romantic non-storylines, but brave enough for cabin fever.
so in we go, as i realise now, completely unprepared for this cinematic experience.
the plot:
five college kids, just finished their finals, hit the woods as a celebration. they stay in a cabin which belongs to the parents of one of the kids. it's not long before they come across an old man who has been infected by a virus: scared and alone in the woods, they want to help him but get scared, panic, and beat him up and dump him in a river instead. the 'stifler' of the group gets a little trigger happy, and when the guy tries to steal the car, he shoots...

Laugh or Cry?
Review of Cabin Fever DVD by
moz86
Advantages: Good film for a Saturday Night
Disadvantages: Didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
...I recently went into my local DVD rental shop with my older sister to choose a Saturday night film. I didnt have much choice in the matter of which film to choose, as while I was still trying to persuade her to get Jurassic Park 3 out, she was already at the desk with Cabin fever.
I started the film behind a cussion on the sofa while the old guy hurling blood all over the place fumbled around the cabin while the group of youths tried to kill him, for what I see to be no apparant reason. (seriously).
Towards the end tho, when the main character found the dead guy in the reservoir and decided to turn him over for no reason at all then fell in and caught the diease I laughed my head off, all the film afterwards I just couldnt take seriously I laugh at many of the points.
Dont let this put you off as it is still a good, enjoyable film...

It's Gettin Hot In Here So Take Off All Your Skin
Review of Cabin Fever DVD by
LostWitness
Advantages: Nice idea
Disadvantages: Poorly executed
...up face down. As his body floats in the water, his legacy disperses and makes its silent, but deadly way into the pipe that feeds the local water supply. For the occupants of the cabin, the nightmare is only just beginning……
Cabin Fever has appealed to me for ages, purely because I like the poster. It’s fantastic. Have you seen it? It’s very eerie, unlike the actual film that it advertises. I was REALLY disappointed with Cabin Fever because it had been hyped up to be something that it simply wasn’t. That’ll teach me.
Cabin Fever takes all the traditional elements of a slasher movie (group of sexed-up irresponsible teenagers, solitude, weird locals, simple act of stupidity) and puts them into a rather different context. Whilst you might be led to believe that the teenagers will end up being stalked...

Review of the 1.4 Fever Limited Edition
Review of Peugeot 206 1.4 by
LenaSophia
Advantages: Stylish, cute and affordable
Disadvantages: Boring dashboard
...Only a month ago did I purchase my Peugeot 206, and having driven a Fiat Seicento beforehand, how could it disappoint me? The answer is... It hasn't! It's an absolute pleasure compared to the loud rumbling annoyance that was the fiat.
The Fever is the latest special edition and comes with a cd player with 6 speakers, metallic paint, electric windows, and front and rear fog lights. The disadvantage to the Fever is that it only comes in 3 colours: moonstone, aluminium and black. But that's pretty much it.
I opted for a black 3 door hatchback with a 1.4l engine. The engine is efficient and quiet, and has quite a lot of poke for a small engine. The cabin is quiet, the cd player is good, and the ride is quite smooth. I have found the handling good and responsive and better than most of the cars I've driven. Visability within the car...
