A Wireless Cable ?

Advantages: Cheap, Easy Setup
Disadvantages: Poor WiFi Coverage, Limited sofwtare features

...When my old Netgear wireless router broke down (for the fourth time) at the beginning of December I decided that enough was enough. A trip to PC world saw me return with one of these puppies (and £60 lighter in the pocket). 30 minutes after getting home saw my Internet access and wireless network reinstated. Yup, 30 minutes was really all it took, and that included unwrapping it, fiddling round with the power supply & cables as well as some basic configuration. This was helped along by the excellent quick-start guide on a large, fold-out sheet with it's clearly numbered and documented steps. At about the size of a large-format paperback, it's middle of the road in terms of size. Aesthetically it's not going to win any prizes, but it does the job. There are screw-holes on the base to allow for wall-mounting should you desire...

Advantages: Good Speed, Easy Configuration, Quick Setup, Good Documentation, Integrated 4-Port Switch
Disadvantages: Many configurable options, some networking knowledge required

...I would highly recommend this Router to either a networking novice or professional looking to setup a home or small office network. I was surprised at how easy this was to setup and configure in my environment. After connecting the few cables and rebooting my PC's, everything seemed great though I could not connect to the Internet. I realised that I have not restarted my Cable Modem and after doing so eveything linked correctly and could again access the internet. On reading the documentation I realised I should have done this initially, however this omission was down to my normal method of only reading the documentation after the installation. Advantages: High speed sharing of internet connection. Free on-line and phone help

Other capabilities is has is that through the 10/100 4-port switch (I don't know what this means but we've got it!) we can share files, printer, music or anything either of us has on our hard drives.
