Buzios, in its turn, is the name for an area encompassing few villages, but it is common for people to refer to Buzios as a whole as opposed to each village. This is traditionally a romantic destination in Brazil. Brigitte Bardot went there some time ago when Buzios was still a village of fishermen. Today, although Buzios retain som of its past, the are is dotted with the villas of the rich Cariocas and Paulistanos. According to my Carioca friend, a house in Buzios was very much high status. There are many boat excursion you can do from Buzios, and they keep you busy all day. It is a good idea to join other groups to get lower prices. Accomodation can be expensive in the summer season. Nice place to visit

Advantages: Weather And location

...I traveled with my girlfriend to Cabo from Sept. 23-30 to celebrate my big 4-0. After doing alot of research, I decided on this baby and overall, I have no regrets. I toured some of the other hotels nearby and I knew I made the right decision. The only negative we encountered was the daily drilling near the pool (they were upgrading the tiles around the pool area). They started drilling each morning at 10am and continued for several hours - it was impossible to sit on our balcony or lay by the pool and relax. Fortunately, the sister hotel is right next door and we enjoyed laying by their quiet pool. I noticed that other nearby hotels were also doing maintenance on their properties so each hotel had their own little quirks. We talked to the manager about the annoying drilling and all he could say was "sorry". And it didn't seem sincere...

LOCATION the main reason to choose this hotel, is the location: in Costa Blanca, Alicante, there's a village called Jávea,between Cabo de la Nao and Cabo de San Antonio,protected from the north winds by a hill called "El Montgó". Sunshine, sardines and spoilt fishing villages in the Algarve

Advantages: Sunshine, beaches and scenic rocky coves, interesting inner towns
Disadvantages: Irish bars, fast food and tacky tourist shops

...a dish shaped like a big clam and locks when closed to seal in the flavours. It was during the day and we didn?t see any anti social behaviour but it was like a British seaside place with all the usual tat. Any fishing village charm had been lost a long time ago. We had hired a car so we thought we would use that and then also book a day trip to Lisbon for Tuesday which was done with little fuss by our resort reception staff. Riding in the Tabernas desert

Advantages: Beautiful peaceful friendly people and great horse riding
Disadvantages: A short break isn't long enough and you have to hire a car

...the Indians up on the mountains - Now days it's more likely to be a Spanish farmer! The trecks are very varied and it's hard to describe them - Just think of a place where you can ride and ride with out ever going over the same route again. The local village is only about a mile away and has lots of local bars and restaurants - Carole or Rob can tell you the best places to go - it helps if you can speak a little Spanish but if you cant then don't worry everybody is very friendly and helpful, its how you imagine a Spanish village should be. If you fancy a trip to the beach then there are loads to choose from within a short driving distance - if you like exploring then head down to the Cabo de Gata. You can ski in the southern snow, and don?t miss a journey been pulled by siberian huskies! Going fishing is great! You will have success guaranteed! There are lots of lakes and rivers to choose from my favourites were the lakes of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego. Or you might fancy a trip in the historical train of ?Trocha Angosta? up to the National Park of Tierra del Fuego, there you can practice trekking, observed the nature, try some seafood or eat the proper lamb barbecue ?fueguino?.
