...Cabo Frio is the name of an area where Buzios is probably the most famous destination. Buzios, in its turn, is the name for an area encompassing few villages, but it is common for people to refer to Buzios as a whole as opposed to each village. This is traditionally a romantic destination in Brazil. Brigitte Bardot went there some time ago when Buzios was still a village of fishermen. Today, although Buzios retain som of its past, the are is dotted with the villas of the rich Cariocas and Paulistanos. According to my Carioca friend, a house in Buzios was very much high status. There are many boat excursion you can do from Buzios, and they keep you busy all day. It is a good idea to join other groups to get lower prices. Accomodation can be expensive in the summer season. Nice place to visit

Advantages: Weather And location
Disadvantages: The smell

...I traveled with my girlfriend to Cabo from Sept. 23-30 to celebrate my big 4-0. After doing alot of research, I decided on this baby and overall, I have no regrets. I toured some of the other hotels nearby and I knew I made the right decision. The only negative we encountered was the daily drilling near the pool (they were upgrading the tiles around the pool area). They started drilling each morning at 10am and continued for several hours - it was impossible to sit on our balcony or lay by the pool and relax. Fortunately, the sister hotel is right next door and we enjoyed laying by their quiet pool. I noticed that other nearby hotels were also doing maintenance on their properties so each hotel had their own little quirks. We talked to the manager about the annoying drilling and all he could say was "sorry". And it didn't seem sincere...

a quiet place in the "Costa blanca"

LOCATION the main reason to choose this hotel, is the location: in Costa Blanca, Alicante, there's a village called Jávea,between Cabo de la Nao and Cabo de San Antonio,protected from the north winds by a hill called "El Montgó". Advantages: still sounds fresh and original

The two lead players show that they have a fine understanding of the cultures they are blending together here. The piano kicks off again over a mad percussion beat to be joined by a slab of rock guitar and Incident at Neshabur is underway. Sunshine, sardines and spoilt fishing villages in the Algarve

It was during the day and we didn?t see any anti social behaviour but it was like a British seaside place with all the usual tat. Any fishing village charm had been lost a long time ago. We had hired a car so we thought we would use that and then also book a day trip to Lisbon for Tuesday which was done with little fuss by our resort reception staff. ...you are looking for a quieter holiday, you could stay nearer the Macenas area close to the Cabo de Gata Nature Reserve, or nearer to the fishing town of Garrucha. For a livelier time and traditional watersports you will be spoilt for choice in the central area of the beach. You can go horseriding, scuba diving, sailing, fishing, play golf or just build sandcastles. If you're a foodie you'll be spoilt for choice, with traditional Spanish tapas bars and restaurants, ranging from how shall we say, economy, to blow the budget big time. Whilst the local bus and taxi services are good, if you want to discover the best of the area you must hire a car (or get someone to drive you around), so you can visit the other villages and towns nearby, and to experience the mountains and views which are breathtaking The weather is much more reliable...
