Advantages: Authentic Coffee, Clean, tidy premises, 1st class ambience and atmosphere

Café Hula - Great Homecooked Food in the Heart of Glasgow

Advantages: Great food, good value, handy for Theatre Royal, relaxed atmosphere, excellent service
Disadvantages: None really. But you might get undercharged!

...complete. Newspapers and magazines are available for those who wish to linger over drinks or coffee. The toilets are EXTREMELY compact, stashed away under the stairs, but they are clean and well appointed. The only lapse in efficiency that we have experienced here is with the billing. Twice we have been undercharged! But because we are such honest people (and we want to continue to eat here!), we have pointed out the error on each occasion - and have been thanked profusely. Although it is a little away from the main shopping centre of Glasgow, I still highly recommend Café Hula. For good value and superb home-cooked food, you just can't beat it. ...facility but they were very accomodating when I needed to change my baby and made sure I had space by letting me use the cloak room area. There is also not much room around tables so it's not very wheelchair friendly. There is one little step into the shop so not too hard with a pushchair and there is a high chair available. There are a few outside tables too for when the weather is nice. Money: Prices are reasonable with panninis and jackets and sandwiches costing from £3.50. Coffees start from £1.50 and so very reasonable when you compare them to other cafes/wine bars in this area. Parking: Parking is available at the back of the shops and in the local supermarket car park but the cafe itself doesn't have it's own car park....

Lenton is not a particularly affluent area, Church Square is in fact a 1970s style shopping arcade with just a handful of struggling shops, and Nottingham of course, has a high student population, with the Queens Medical Centre around the corner and Nottingham University not far away. One of the other important values of the café is to provide wholesome, nutritious food at affordable prices. There is nothing on the menu that costs more than £2.50, with the wonderful bowls of home made soup retailing for a mere £1.20. And it isn't purely about food.
