Advantages: MENORCA A LOVELY PLACE TO VISIT Disadvantages: HOTEL A LITTLE DISSAPOINTING
...Having viewed this site prior to booking our holiday I decided that there's only one way really to find out, and that's to go!! Everyone's tastes and standards are different so read reviews but ultimately what is fantastic for one family may be a disappointment for another.
Hotel;
Very clean however VERY basic bedrooms, ours had a prison type metal bunk bed at the foot of two singles put together, reminisant from a scene of Porridge!!!!
The whole hotel has either tiled or marble floors which was VERY noisy,even a fairy in slippers would have sounded like a herd of buffalo stampeding across the Sarangeti !! Had the rooms had carpets then this would of deadened some of the noise. Unfortunately our room was next to the stairwell so we heard all and sundry coming and going, and to add insult we overlooked the tarmac carpark rather...
Advantages: Great For Families and Kids Disadvantages: Decor & maybe not suitable for couples
...The hotel Cala n Bosch is situated in the resort of Cala n Bosch which also happens to be the furthest resort that you could possibly get to from Mahon Airport.
The hotel itself towers above Cala n Bosch and can be seen as you drive down the main road that comes from Ciutadella approaching the resort. Transfer times could be 1 hour to 1 hour 30 depending on time of day or if you have other stops.
The resort of Cala n Bosch is set around a pleasant, relaxing and friendly man-made marina with an abundance of shops, restaurants and cafés. It also features a kiddies play area called the Goodie Goodie restaurant which is packed with fun and activities for kids and teenagers.
From a room at the front of the hotel (main entrance side) you will get fantastic views of the marina and the surrounding areas and a sea view. The other side...
Advantages: Hot hot hot cheap cheap cheap Disadvantages: Touristy
...Waht a superb holiday I had here. I went to Spain in April 1987 with my School on a weeks trip to the costa Brava. Its one of my favourite holidays to this date. I dont remember much about the town but I do remember that there were rocks at one end of the beach and a Tower/castle thing on it. Its ony about an hours drive from Barcalona where we had a great day out. Looked around the fort there. Lovely market too where you can buy your sombrero, donkey or castanettes!!!
Did you know that castanettes comes from the Spanish word for Chestnuts??? There is a great aqua park in Blanes for you out there that are more adventurous. You can have a complete spanish holiday with out a go on the kamikaze death slides!!!...
