..., VERY FRIENDLY LOCALS, CULTURE. Do check out the food at 'Smugglers' on the harbour fantastic for a chicken curry and on the main road in Cala Bona there is a yorkshire pub I think its called the Woolpack, don't miss out on their Carvery Roast dinner on a Sunday. The taste of home in Spain. Try a 'Pepito con Quessa' which is a pork crusty roll with cheese there are yummy. I would reccommed a holiday to Cala Bona to most people I believe it has enough to capture mosts interest, you can also explore the island by hiring a car or motorbike or just book some trips with your Rep there are plenty to choose from and if you are choosing Cala Bona there is a beautiful hotel with a private part on the beach called LeVante. Have fun...!! And Chill in Cala Bona...

Cala Bona - Sun Sand and tranquility

Advantages: Sun, Sand, and just about everything else you could possibly wish for
Disadvantages: Each resort has it's own features so pic the resort thats best for you

...It's 8.30am and you wake up to the smell of fresh baked bread, you open the balcony doors and step out just as the sun starts to rise above the harbour. Fisherman prepair there boats for the days trip and the locals are sat in the square just enjoying the wonderfull morning air. Advantages: Reasonably priced, friendly, clean
Disadvantages: Food choice at dinner is not the best

...Last year my girlfriend and I decided to go to Majorca for our holiday. We went in May, as it was slightly cheaper with the kids still in school, and booked it all through Thomson holidays. We booked a price breaker package, which basically meant we could end up in any one of three hotels on the quieter east coast, and after a two-hour flight, this was the one we ended up in. Situated on the promenade between the two popular, but quiet resorts of Cala Bona and Cala Millor on Majorca's east coast, the Bonamar is owned by the well-respected Protur group, who own several good hotels and apartment complexes on the island. ...This hotel is great if you want to be handy for all the local shops, It is located in the center of town, which can make it noisy depending on which side of the hotel your room is. ...Having viewed this site prior to booking our holiday I decided that there's only one way really to find out, and that's to go!! Everyone's tastes and standards are different so read reviews but ultimately what is fantastic for one family may be a disappointment for another. Hotel; Very clean however VERY basic bedrooms, ours had a prison type metal bunk bed at the foot of two singles put together, reminisant from a scene of Porridge!!!! The whole hotel has either tiled or marble floors which was VERY noisy,even a fairy in slippers would have sounded like a herd of buffalo stampeding across the Sarangeti !! Had the rooms had carpets then this would of deadened some of the noise. Unfortunately our room was next to the stairwell so we heard all and sundry coming and going, and to add insult we overlooked the tarmac carpark rather...

Cala Vinas Hotel - a good safe holiday

At the beginning of August my girlfriend set off on our Holiday to Mallorca from Luton Airport, rather early in the morning - and arrived at the Hotel approximately 5 hours later. This was mainly due to the efficiency which we experienced at the airport and the private taxi that had been booked for us through our agency! One of the best hotels

Advantages: Family Hotel Great adult and Kids enertainment, pool and next to 2 beaches. everything youll ever
Disadvantages: NONE!

...fish with a fresh whole salmon as a fantastic centre piece for you to take what you want off! There is plenty to choose from! If you decide not to eat in the restuarant then there are plenty of nice eateries close by, the public resturant of the hotel is downstairs on the front and offers a very good meal at amazing prices. there is also a restuarant called Yates on the walk towards Cala Bona (walking with the sea to your right). Another fine diner is in the same direction called Snoddys bar. these places are great and well priced. On at the harbour i would also recommened The Rope and Anchor. likewise there are nice places to eat in the other direction towards Cala Millor. If you walk around and the ones that look nice are! all of them! Thompson do most of the package holidays here and my brother in law just paid £415 for a week bed...

...Floriana Resort, Cala Bona, Mallorca Having stayed here twice previously when 'grumpy teenager' was younger I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was still in the brochure and that we could pick up a week in October half term for less than £900.00. Location Just a few minutes walk from the delightful little harbour area of Cala Bona. The resort itself is quiet, with just a few really good restaurants set by the water and a couple of bars. The promenade leads directly to its noisier neighbour Cala Millor, but it is still a pleasant walk, very flat, clean and well kept, ideal for the less mobile. It's lined with cafes and bars all the way up, so plenty of opportunity to rest! The Beach in Cala Bona is split into small areas and is well maintained with sun beds and brollies to hire. ...I have just got back from a weeks holiday in Majorca. Where, as you may have guessed, I stayed in the Hotel Samoa. The room itself is very average. It was medium sized with a double bed, wardrobe, television and a bathroom. The bed was a bit unusual - it was actually two normal beds pushed together. This was somewhat alarming on the first night when me and my boyfriend repeatedly rolled into the middle and had it collapse underneath us. Yes, it doesn't just fall apart slowly - if you go near the middle and dumps you on the floor, which is horrifying the first time! The bed covers feel somewhat like shower curtains, but once you get used to them and train your body to stay on one side it's fine. The TV is free, you can pay for a remote but really you can do it by yourself by getting up easily enough. It has two english channels...
