...Call of duty 4 Call of duty 4 is a great game, Campaign has a excellent story and extremely great online. Campaign: Campaign was great, amazing story, Great AI, Challenging missions great weapons and action-packed the only downfall was how short it is was maybe 3-4 hours of gameplay (thats how long it took me to beat it). ...Call of duty 4 modern warfare is definitley worthy of "game of the year" award simply because of its online play. This game makes Halo 3 look poor. On campaign mode you alternatively play as "soap" in the SAS, and Jackson in the US marines along with other characters as flashbacks. The game is realistic as to what weaponry the US or SAS have and to what the spetnaz and opfor use. With a wide range of assault rifles, shotguns, sniper, machine guns etc. this is a great game for gaming and military enthusiasts. However in my opinion the campaign mode is a definite let down and very easy to complete. But online it is fantastic!!!! Airstrikes, helicopter support, c4s, flashbangs, frags, RPG, grenades are some of the extras which can be used.... Read review

Advantages: Great atmosphere and brilliant online play
Disadvantages: Just not as polish as previous games made by Infinity Ward

...Treyarch have produced a very good "next-gen" World War II shooter with Call of Duty 3. When playing single player you get a real feeling of danger and atmosphere. Running through the trenches and you hear shells screaming over head and crashing down blowing debrits right, left and centre. Online in my opinion, Call of Duty 3 shows its true strengths. The game allows you to join in with 23 other people on several different maps playing several different game types. One brilliant feature is to have up to 4 players on one console playing on the same map, a feature sadly left out of the newer Call of Duty 4. ...This game, what shall i say. The best game in 2007, without a doubt. Cally of duty 4 boasts stunning graphics, gameplay; in fact, it is stunning in EVERY department. It excels, in detail of players, graphics, online play the main feature. The campaign is very entertaining, but if you like campaigns you may wish to consider buying a different shooter, because this campaign, although while it lasts it is amazing, is slightly too short. You play as a person called SOAP, which is an interesting name, and you are teamed with a squad throughout the campaign. Online play is absolutley magnificent! To go through the levels it takes a few weeks, but this keeps you entertained and you can do the levels up to 10 times (prestige). Occasionally, depending on others connections, you may experience lag and annyoing messages... Read review

...I pre-ordered call of duty 4: modern warfare on play.com months ago for the price of £39.99. When i got my e-mail saying it had been posted, i couldn't wait for it to arrive. I was not dissapointed. The graphics and sound effects are exceptional, and i have always been a fan of the call of duty series. I might even goe as far to say that up to now this is my favourite 360 game. Call of Duty is usually centred around World War 2. The most recent installment of the series is set around a terrorist plot, and the missions switch between the middle east and the former Soviet Union. When you start the game, you begin as the SAS. It is a joint effort though. Some missions are performed by the SAS, the others are performed by the US marine corps. Something that always strikes me... Read review

Advantages: If you love the CoD games, heres another one for you to play.
Disadvantages: Just like the other CoD games, many little issues (considering its a modern game)

...While in production, Call of Duty 4 looked very impressive! I have played this game enough to realise now, that it harbours many tacky little features that pretty much prevent me from enjoying it! I'm not saying that Call of Duty 4 is a bad game at all, its just isn't next generation and doesn't offer any new technological features to the gaming industry. Here are a few of the irritating things I have noticed in CoD4: On the harder settings, the game will spawn enemy grenades near you, to flush you out of cover - even if you are in a perfectly safe place, or there aren't any enemies close enough or alive enough, to throw grenades (you know what I mean). ...The single-player campaign is over in a flash, but the high quality of that campaign and its terrific multiplayer options make Call of Duty 4 a grt buy. The weapons and graphics are good even if you dont have a HD TV . you can set the level of hardness. You can have up to 4 players playing from the 1 PS3, means you can invite your friends round and player them on the different arenas but you can only chose set weapons but there is a good choice. Online games is very good indeed, hrs of fun and never get bored. start of as a recruit and each time you can improve your rank and unlock better guns, add ons to the guns like scopes, and silencers. You can even get a golden guns which looks pretty cool ! You can create and save your selected weapons and match it with different perks; UAV jammer, steady aim, iron lungs, increase bullet...
