Callaway Big Bertha Red Balls

...Being relatively new to the game of golf, I need as much help as possible in getting my ball to go further! My partner introduced me to Callaway (he is obsessed by the game and only Callaway stuff will do for him!!) As a lady golfer I have tried many of the golf balls designed specifically for lasies, and although I found these to be good, my partner eventually persuaded me to try Callaway. As some Callaway products can be pricey, I decided to go for the Big Bertha Balls (Red for distance) which seem to be a little more reasonable than some of the other Callaway Balls. Cost me £17.99 for a dozen. Although they weren't miracle makers, my distance has definitely improved - reckon they go a good 10 yards further which is a big thing for me! I will definitely continue to use this type of ball and would recomment it to others also!...

Callaway Big bertha irons

Advantages: Very Very forgiving/ideal for an improving player
Disadvantages: None to speak of,maybe the lack of a 3 iron

...is plain to see and feel. The weight of the club is significantly different to my older spalding set. Good bits I like the idea of the 10 iron in place of the 3 and I now use it more than the wedge. Apart from the distance stuff i have massively improved around the green with a real feel through the club, granted the lessons are helping but I am convinced that the clubs are playing a big part. I would not hesitate to recommend these, very expensive new but at £180 second hand a real bargain. As a 'New' beginner I thought a decent set of clubs would'nt make much difference but I was way off the mark they have really helped. I reckon I'm looking at at least 6 to 7 shots off my round and the 90 mark is very close now for me....

...I purchased my Great Big Bertha from American Golf Discount just over a year ago. I had been looking into updating my driver for a while. I previously owned a 10 degree Big Bertha Steelhead. I tried 3 drivers the day I got the Great Big Bertha. They were apart from the GBB, a Titleist and a Ping driver. Each of them had a 10 degree loft and a firm flex shaft. The differnce in price across the different drivers were about £150. The Ping being the cheapest and the GBB being the most expensive. The Best Club I've ever Used!

...I have recently upgraded to the new Callaway Great Big Bertha II. I changed from using a Callaway Steelhead I, a club I was very reluctant to move away from. I made the switch as I seemed to be losing distance compared to my playing partners, most of whom now have titanium drivers. The spec I chose was a firm graphite shaft with 10 degrees of loft. I opted not to go for the Pro-series version (as my handicap is 12) as this is not as forgiving. There are two types of GBB II, the standard version and the +Plus version. The latter is the one I have but does not conform to USGA rules. living in the UK, this isn't a problem. The difference between the two is that the +Plus version has a greater COR (Coefficient of Restitution) i.e. put simply, this means the bounciness that the club head provides, hopefully meaning an extra 5...

Callaway HX TOUR Black

Advantages: these babies fly!!!!!!!

...I won a dozen off these Callaway HX Tour black balls in a competition and am in love !! I have always played with Titleist Pro V1's in the past and didn't think anything would be able to beat them. These Callaways balls go an absolute mile when spanked off the tee with your driver. I would say slightly further than the pro v1. They also have excellent spin control when struck with your short irons into the greens. I have never had so much backspin with a ball before. I find them very nice to putt with as well , a real soft feel coming off the putter face. The only real draw back with these is the price. I believe they are currently retailing for around £36 a dozen but i believe them to be worth it , especially in the summer. I have found them to have knocked around 2-3 shots off of my game per round , i play off a 12 handicap...
