Callaway Big Bertha Red Balls

...Being relatively new to the game of golf, I need as much help as possible in getting my ball to go further! My partner introduced me to Callaway (he is obsessed by the game and only Callaway stuff will do for him!!) As a lady golfer I have tried many of the golf balls designed specifically for lasies, and although I found these to be good, my partner eventually persuaded me to try Callaway. As some Callaway products can be pricey, I decided to go for the Big Bertha Balls (Red for distance) which seem to be a little more reasonable than some of the other Callaway Balls. Cost me £17.99 for a dozen. Although they weren't miracle makers, my distance has definitely improved - reckon they go a good 10 yards further which is a big thing for me! I will definitely continue to use this type of ball and would recomment it to others also!...

Callaway HX TOUR Black

Advantages: these babies fly!!!!!!!

...I won a dozen off these Callaway HX Tour black balls in a competition and am in love !! I have always played with Titleist Pro V1's in the past and didn't think anything would be able to beat them. These Callaways balls go an absolute mile when spanked off the tee with your driver. I would say slightly further than the pro v1. They also have excellent spin control when struck with your short irons into the greens. I have never had so much backspin with a ball before. I find them very nice to putt with as well , a real soft feel coming off the putter face. The only real draw back with these is the price. I believe they are currently retailing for around £36 a dozen but i believe them to be worth it , especially in the summer. I have found them to have knocked around 2-3 shots off of my game per round , i play off a 12 handicap...

I've Got Soft Balls!

Advantages: Extra distance with the driver. Excellent control and spin. Well priced high performance golf ball for the average golfer.

Review of Srixon Soft Feel Golf Balls

A cheap way to improve you're golf swing

Advantages: very cheap, they work, you can practice in the garden
Disadvantages: you may prefer real golf balls

...I have recently got back into golf again and played a few 9 hole rounds with friends, but I was very rusty as it has been a while! The main problem, as most players find when they play infrequently was my swing. One minute I'd completely slice the ball and the next hit a reasonable shot. The tee shots were the most annoying because they setup how the hole is going to pan out for you and most of the time I was leaving myself a lot to do. After playing a quite dissapointing round we had a look in the club shop to see what they had on offer. I noticed these airflow practice balls and they seemed like a fab training aid and something which should really help my swing. They are exactly the same size and dimension as a normal golf ball, but are of plastic construction and have airholes all over them, producing maximum drag from the moment...

Nike Golf Nike One Black Golf Balls

Advantages: Very very long
Disadvantages: expensive to lose

...I tried a Nike Golf Nike One Black Golf Ball in a match play knockout yesterday, I play off 21 and my opponant was off 12 so granted i did have a few shot in hand. I have never used a Nike one black (the ball is white however) but was very impressed with the result. I found the ball which has a thin urethene cover and a enanced 408 dimples very long to hit, Longer than my usual PTS Solo golf balls. I was very impressed with the length and how straight it flew in the air. Off the tee I only missed two fairways but the length was very impressive. I won my game 3 and 2 and to be honest I didn't really need the shots. Really though i found the combination of the balls and my Ping G2 driver excellent. on the greens my ball did truely roll further and felt very nice to hit. The Cobra Golf Ball, Where is it?

...Ok, This review is simply to put you straight. This website claims that Cobra Golf make a golf ball. I can tell you that Cobra do no such thing. Cobra are an excellent golf manufacturer, they make clubs, bags, gloves, towels etc. however the investment in technology and research required for them to create there own golf ball has put them off the idea. Cobra has a reputation for making high quality accessories and high power clubs. Cobra's pride and joy is it's range of drivers. The best and most expensive of which is the King Cobra 440sz. I haven't used this on the course but have had the fortune of trying this weapon on the range. I can tell you, it's a pleasure. Trying a new club is always exciting but this was quite an experience. Advantages: Soft enough to be good on greens but still goes a good distance. Price.
Disadvantages: Strange at first due to unusual dimple pattern.

...I have a small home so when I needed a new vacuum cleaner I chose the Dyson DC24 which is a smaller version of the standard model. It cost £189.99. I was expecting almost a child sized vacuum cleaner but there is not really much difference at all. It was so simple to put together, there are peel off stickers on the unit to explain things as you go. It only took me 5 minutes to have it assembled. The ball makes vacuuming effortless, and the head of the vacuum is narrow so its easy to get under the sofa, low tables, etc. It has strong suction as you would expect from a Dyson but it is surprising how full the cylinder is when you have finished.
